도심 자율주행을 위한 비전기반 차선 추종주행 실험 (Experiments of Urban Autonomous Navigation using Lane Tracking Control with Monocular Vision)

  • Autonomous Lane detection with vision is a difficult problem because of various road conditions, such as shadowy road surface, various light conditions, and the signs on the road. In this paper we propose a robust lane detection algorithm to overcome shadowy road problem using a statistical method. The algorithm is applied to the vision-based mobile robot system and the robot followed the lane with the lane following controller. In parallel with the lane following controller, the global position of the robot is estimated by the developed localization method to specify the locations where the lane is discontinued. The results of experiments, done in the region where the GPS measurement is unreliable, show good performance to detect and to follow the lane in complex conditions with shades, water marks, and so on.

  • Logistics security has been enhanced to control cargo containers effectively and safely in global logistics. In response to the change, This study describes the system now being developed that tracks container position, watches cargo security status and gets informations of surrounding until the cargos arrived at its destination. We examine completion and satisfaction of the product for prospective users. For this, considering earlier studies about customer trust, satisfaction, service quality and purchase decision, we analyse an effect among the variables empirically. As a result, when the program is released, we examine customers' satisfaction and purchase decision for the informations to be offered from the program.

  • In this paper, an ATSC(Advanced Television Standard Committee)-M/H(Mobile/Handheld) multiplexer is designed and implemented using an embedded Linux based hardware platform. The ATSC-M/H multiplexer is composed of a CPU(Central Processor Unit), an FPGA(Field-Programmable Gate Array), ASI(Asynchronous Serial Interface)/SMPTE310(Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers310) interface board, and a GPS(Global Position System) clock processing block. The main functions of the ATSC-M/H multiplexer executed in the CPU and FPGA are described. The operation of the ATSC-M/H multiplexer is verified by processing its broadcast signal on a commercial receiver analyzer.

  • Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) based precise positioning using Real Time Kinematic (RTK) technique has been proposed as an enabler of the formation operation of moving vehicles. In RTK methods, the integer ambiguity of GNSS carrier phase measurements must be resolved. Although there have been many proposed algorithms for the integer ambiguity resolution, the widelane combination of carrier phase measurements and LAMBDA methods have gained the most popularity in literatures when dual frequency GNSS measurements were used. In this paper, we evaluated five alternative methods to determine relative positions of moving base and rover receivers; the round-off scheme of widelane carrier phase, instant least-squares and Kalman filter-based LAMBDA with widelane carrier phase, instant least-squares and Kalman filter-based LAMBDA with dual frequency measurements. The paper presented the performance of each method using flight test data, which showed their strength and weakness in the aspects of time-to-first-fix, ambiguity resolution success ratio, and relative position errors. Based on that, we provided practical recommendations of RTK operations for moving vehicles.

  • Recently, number of intentional jamming has increased significantly. If GNSS jammers are activated, user receivers can be largely influenced due to the vulnerable characteristic of the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) signal. When the reception power of the jamming signal and that of the navigation signal are similar, the C/A (Coarse Acquisition) chip delay error can occur in the delay locked loop. To evaluate the jamming effect, a new measurement model is formulated based on previous research works. The new model explains how the jamming to signal ratio affects the ranging measurement accuracy and other parameters. To evaluate the validity of the newly formulated model, the experiment results of the previous research works under actual jamming environment are utilized. By evaluating the consistency of the carrier-to-noise ratio (C/N0) and the position error with the actual jamming environment, the validity of the newly formulated model is verified.

Accuracy Improvement of Multi-GNSS Kinematic PPP with EKF Smoother

  • The extended Kalman filter (EKF) is widely used for global navigation satellite system (GNSS) applications. It is difficult to obtain precise positions with an EKF one-way (forward or backward) filter. In this paper, we propose an EKF smoother to improve the positioning accuracy by integrating forward and backward filters. For the EKF smoother experiment, we performed PPP using GNSS data received at the DAEJ reference station for a month. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated with multi-GNSS kinematic PPP experiments. The EKF smoother showed 35%, 6%, and 22% improvement in east, north, and up directions, respectively. In addition, accurate tropospheric zenith total delay (ZTD) values were calculated by a smoother. Therefore, the results from EKF smoother demonstrate that better accuracy of position can be achieved.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy-neural hybrid control approach is proposed for controlling a mobile robot that can avoid an unexpected obstacle in a navigational space. First, to describe the global structure of a known environment, a heuristic collision-free space band is introduced. Based on the band, the moving information in the known environment is trained to a neural controller. Then, during the execution of a mobile robot navigation moving information at each position is given the neural controller. If the mobile robot encounters an unexpected obstacle, a fuzzy controller activates to avoid the unexpected obstacle. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the control algorithm.

Accurate Long-Term Evolution/Wi-Fi hybrid positioning technology for emergency rescue

  • It is critical to estimate the location using only Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and Wi-Fi information gathered by the user's smartphone and deployable for emergency rescue, regardless of whether the Global Positioning System is received. In this research, we used a vehicle to gather LTE and Wi-Fi wireless signals over a large area for an extended period of time. After that, we used the learning technique to create a positioning database that included both collection and noncollection points. We presented a two-step positioning algorithm that utilizes coarse localization to discover a rough location in a wide area rapidly and fine localization to estimate a particular location based on the coarse position. We confirmed our technology utilizing different sorts of devices in four regional types that are generally encountered: dense urban, urban, suburban, and rural. Results presented that our algorithm can satisfactorily achieve the target accuracy necessary in emergency rescue circumstances.

캠퍼스 자율 안내로봇 개발 (Development of an Autonomous Guide Robot for Campus Tour)

  • 캠퍼스를 자율적으로 주행하면서 내방객을 안내하는 안내로봇을 개발하였다. 이 로봇은 DGPS와 로봇 바퀴에 부착된 엔코더 정보를 이용하여 자신의 최적 위치를 평가하여 사전에 설정된 안내경로를 자율적으로 주행하면서 안내를 수행한다. 본 연구에서는 안내할 정보를 미리 순서대로 설정하는 기존 방법과 달리 이동 중 자신의 현재 위치를 평가하고 그 위치 주변에 안내할 정보가 있으면 그 정보를 이용하여 안내를 수행하는 위치기반 안내방법을 제안한다. 또한 안내효율을 극대화 할 수 있는 안내시나리오 구성방법을 제시한다. 개발된 안내로봇의 성능을 실제 캠퍼스 안내에 적용하여 평가하였다.

반사타겟 좌표 및 오차정보를 이용한 세종 VLBI IVP 위치계산 (Estimation of Sejong VLBI IVP Point Using Coordinates of Reflective Targets with Their Measurement Errors)

  • VLBI, SLR, DORIS, GNSS와 같은 우주측지기술 사이의 3차원 벡터를 결정하는 작업은 ITRF에 중요한 요소이다. 따라서 각각의 우주측지기술에 해당되는 IVP를 정확하게 계산할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 모델에 비해 업데이트된 수학모델을 사용하여 세종시에 위치한 VLBI의 IVP 위치를 계산함으로써 계산의 효율과 신뢰성을 높였다. 관측값으로는 안테나에 부착된 반사타겟의 좌표가 사용되었으며 이때 관측오차크기는 1.5 mm로 설정하였다. 조정계산을 통해 VLBI IVP 좌표와 정확도를 계산했으며 기존 연구에서 제시한 값과 비교했을 때 성공적으로 계산이 된 것으로 판단된다. 하지만 실제 관측오차가 고려된 VLBI IVP를 계산하기 위해서는 향후 VLBI IVP 계산을 위한 추가적인 지상측량이 필요하다.
