競争が激しいグローバル市場において, 中小企業はどのようにして持続可能な競争優位を獲得するのかという問題を抱えている｡ しかし, 中小企業のグローバル市場における経営課題や戦略の実態についてはわからないことが多い｡ そこで本研究では, 日本の中小企業がグ ローバル市場でどのようにして競争優位を獲得することができるのかについて事例分析を通じて探ることを目的としている｡ 本稿で取り上げるのは, 事務機器 (例：コピー機およびプリンター)で広く使用されているポリイミドトナー定着チューブで世界最高のシェア (40％)を有する I.S.T (Industrial Summit Technology)である｡ I.S.Tがポリイミドトナー定着チューブ製品の開発・販売を通じて, ど のようにしてグローバル市場の競争優位を獲得したのか, その歴史的な展開から明らかにする｡ インタビュー調査からはI.S.Tが競争力のあるグローバルヒドゥンチャンピオン(Global Hidden Champion)になった主要な要因が, コアコンピタンス, 戦略的ネットワーク, リスクマネジメント, 従業員エンゲージメント, 創業者の起業家精神による従業員とのビジョンの 共有といった５つにあることが判明した｡ 企業の将来像を従業員と共有することはグローバルヒドゥンチャンピオンになるための第一歩である｡ しかし, そのためには, 他社と差別化できる企業固有のコアコンピタンスをもたなければならず, それにはグローバル市場における際立った専門性を確立することが求められる｡ 一方で, 持続的な競争力を維持するためには, 外部組織との戦略的ネットワークを通じ, 経営資源の不足といった中小企業の弱点を補完すると同時に, 強みをさらに強化する必要がある｡ このプロセスでは他社に強みを奪われないためのリスクマネジメントが重要となる｡ また, 組織パフォーマンスに対する従業員エンゲージメントの影響の重大性を確認しなければならない｡ 従業員のエンゲージメントを高めるためには, 企業の歴史と個性に合った理想的な組織文化を構築する必要がある｡ そうした組織文化は従業員に自身の創造的な発想を実現するような取り組みを促すことになる｡

The construction industry is a significant component of many economies and typically contains a high proportion of small and medium enterprises. However, it is generally understood that this industry is fragmented, adversarial, not highly innovative and not quick to respond to change. At the same time, the industry is under pressure to continue to embrace new technologies and methods, and to adapt better to current and emerging global issues such as sustainability. In order to meet these challenges, firms in the industry need to understand the issues involved and manage their practices accordingly. This paper describes exploratory research into the role of innovative and environmentally sustainable design and construction practices in one group of construction firms, viz., smaller residential building firms in Queensland, Australia.

In the trend of globalization and location transfer of existing production bases is still characterized by an extremely unstable status between different countries and different regions. The results are negative impacts on cost, quality and speed of project implementation, especially automobile industry which is one of the most complex manufacturing sectors. In order to overcome problems from Global Standardization of Production Line and its Localization, it is highly required comprehensive coordination among design of production equipment, production technology, space and interfaces. It is necessary to set up standard of production equipment and building for parallel progress, in order to complete production line in shortest time for launching product. In addition, this standard should keep flexibility with consideration of local situation which means "Glocalization."

The use of the Web-based Simulation Environment (WBSE) provides a strong influence on supply chain simulations. A virtual supply chain simulation is available to evaluate strategies for reducing response time to customers and for shrinking the finished goods inventory along its supply chain. This paper presents the basic concepts and definitions of Web-Based Global Supply Chain Management (WBGSCM) simulation system. It also discusses the advantages of supply chain simulation modules integration. A Time Synchronization Mechanism (TSM) called Phased Bucket Scheme (PBS) is introduced as an approach of the distributed simulation modules integration.

The purpose of this paper is to give some crisis communication strategies for effective cooperation and coordination among the countries in global society. Based on the theoretical discussions, in this paper, five strategic recommendations toward improving crisis communication are offered as follows; First, it is necessary that a small, dynamic team for global crisis communication function be established among the nearby countries. Second, for understanding the neighboring country's crisis situation, it is needed that the common crisis communication organizations which play an important role of disseminating accurate information and giving the collaborative efforts in each country have to be made. Third, for effective crisis management, an appropriate infrastructure that includes open and effective communication channels among different levels and across organizations must be in place. Fourth, mass communication should fulfill a variety of functions in society and provide information, interpretation of events, and its influence, etc for cooperating and coordinating the crisis management. Fifth, to acquire a correct understanding of the bordering country's crisis and calamities, intercultural education program should be established in the crisis communication system.

The paper explores the relationship among the personnel characters, organizational formalization and organizational commitment in Korean firms in Shandong province of China. In this paper, the employee's personnel characters include the sexual, job, college graduate, collectivism(value attitude), Power distance(value attitude). The results of anaysis shows that College gratuate have negative effects on the organizational commitment, and the collectivism have positive effection on the affective commitment, the perception of organizational formalization have positive effects on the affective commitment. And, the perception of organizational formalization have moderlate effects among the job, college gratuate, collectivism, power distance with organizational commitment. Based on the these results, the paper described the theoretical and practical implications.

This paper explores the potential of Blockchain technology in enabling a panacea for health equity. Since Satoshi Nakamoto first described Blockchain technology in 2008 pseudonymous paper, that distributed ledger system is empowered and ranging from finance to law to another sector and beyond. Also impacting healthcare sector and life science. In other words, there are many usage cases being researched in healthcare and Blockchain has shown its considerable special side in recent years. But this paper aims to the distributed ledger that is the special side of Blockchain technology is potentially can panacea for some global health equity issues such as patient data, counterfeit drug and hospital payment management.

Indian construction companies have only 0.05% market share in the 3-4 trillion dollar global construction business and only two Indian construction companies figure in the ENR "Top 225 Global Contractors 2006" list. Hence, while enormous scope for growth exists, international construction experience is limited. This study explores the risks as perceived by Indian companies venturing abroad since risks in international construction differ from home market risks. Literature survey identified a number of risk factors that were evaluated by the experts, highlighting fourteen important risk factors. Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) was used to develop a hierarchical model showing the relationships between the different risk factors, thus helping to focus on the key risks for effective risk management. The study shows that poor project management is a key risk forming the hub of the system, while political instability has maximum influence. The results of the study can be used by managers to visualise the risks in perspective and prioritise the mitigation effort.

Traditional procurement methods have revealed many disadvantages in construction fields such as the adversarial relationships between stakeholders. After several decades of application, partnering has shown to be an innovative arrangement that helped to reduce many problems existing in the traditional arrangement. In Vietnam, partnering has been applied for construction projects since the construction industry was facing many new challenges emanated from the global integration and economic booming. Partnering is rather new, so it needs to gain a better understanding of the new concept. This paper has identified twenty eight success factors for partnering in the Vietnamese construction industry. Five factors are considered critical to partnering success including financial security, commitment from top management, mutual trust between parties, adequate resources and effective communication. The findings could help construction practitioners to deploy the innovative procurement type and would also contribute to the global knowledge.

In this paper we consider the global convergence of a new super memory gradient method for unconstrained optimization problems. New trust region radius is proposed to make the new method converge stably and averagely, and it will be suitable to solve large scale minimization problems. Some global convergence results are obtained under some mild conditions. Numerical results show that this new method is effective and stable in practical computation.
