Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve: Exploring Moral Identity as a Moderator Across CSR Authenticity, Consumer Admiration, and Engagement in the Fashion Industry

  • A rapidly shifting, hyper-sensitive modern fashion industry, coupled with an increasingly developing global environmental concern, has seen to an ever-imperative role for corporate social responsibility (CSR) to play in the successful operation of fashion companies. This study primarily investigates effective measures for successful CSR implementation in both corporate and consumer domains, looking at Patagonia, an exemplar company with an environmental mission, to understand the central contributions of active consumer engagement to the success of CSR initiatives. We explore consumer admiration as a concept necessary to elevate CSR practices from image maintenance to genuine engagement and advocacy, and how such admiration could be cultivated on the consumer-side, investigating perceived CSR authenticity and corporate self-sacrifice as primary determinants. Specifically, we speculate the asymmetric role of consumers' moral identity, revealing that moral identity symbolization positively interacts with both determinants while negatively moderating the relationship of these intentions and consumer admiration. We derive our analysis from diverse international and Korean data, concluding with theoretical and managerial implications for domestic and international companies in pursuit of environmental CSR campaigns that bridge consumer and company, as well as limitations and future research directions.

직무스트레스 요인이 번영과 직무열의에 미치는 영향: 해외진출 기업의 국내 인력과 해외 현지법인 현지 인력 간의 비교 연구 (Influence of Job Stressors on Flourishing and Job Engagement: Comparison Between Head Office Personnel and Foreign Subsidiary Personnel)

  • 본 연구는 직무스트레스 요인이 번영과 직무열의에 영향을 미치는 과정에 있어서 문화 보편적인 공통점과 문화적인 영향에 따른 차이점을 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 문화적인 영향은 존재하면서 조직의 특성의 영향은 최소화하기 위해 해외에 현지 법인을 두고 있는 국내 기업을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였으며, 국내 본사인력 141명과 해외 법인의 현지 인력 107명에게 동일한 설문지를 작성하게 하였고, 이를 바탕으로 분석 및 비교를 실시하였다. 첫 번째 단계에서는 직무스트레스 요인이 직무열의에 영향을 미치는 과정에서의 번영의 매개효과를 한국과 중국 직원을 대상을 각각 분석한 결과, 한국과 중국 직원 모두에게서 매개효과가 검증되었다. 하지만 약간의 차이점은 있었는데, 한국의 경우 직무스트레스 요인이 직무열의에 미치는 직접효과와 번영의 간접효과가 모두 유의미하게 나타나는 부분매개 효과를 보인 반면, 중국의 경우 직접효과는 유의미하지 않고 간접효과만 유의미하게 나타나는 완전매개 효과를 보였다. 다음 단계에서는 직무스트레스의 세부요인이 번영 및 직무열의에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 번영의 경우는 한국에서는 의사결정 및 책임 요인이 그리고 중국에서는 사회적 지원의 부족 요인과 과제특성 요인이 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 직무열의의 경우는 사회적 지원의 부족 요인과 과제특성 요인이 한국과 중국에서 공통적으로 유의미하게 나타났으며, 한국에서는 의사결정 및 책임 요인이 중국과는 달리 유의미하게 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 문화적으로 이질적인 국가에 진출하는 기업에게 인적자원 관리에 대한 의미 있는 관점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

라이브커머스 이용자의 동기가 인게이지먼트 및 태도에 미치는 영향 연구: 비대면 소비문화를 중심으로 (The study on the effect of live commerce users' motivation on engagement and attitude: Focusing on the Untact consumption culture)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 비대면 소비문화에 초점을 맞추어 라이브커머스 이용자의 차별화된 동기를 탐색하고자 하며 라이브커머스 이용동기와 태도와의 영향 관계에서 인게이지먼트의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 연구방법은 라이브커머스 이용자를 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 진행하였으며 245부의 유효표본을 분석에 활용하였다. 자료분석은 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 다중회귀분석, 매개회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 라이브커머스 이용동기는 상호작용의 쾌락성, 직접 검수의 대체 가능성, 커뮤니티의 필요성, 트렌드 추구성 등 4개 요인으로 도출되었다. 이용동기는 인게이지먼트에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 인게이지먼트는 태도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 인게이지먼트는 라이브커머스 이용동기와 태도와의 관계에서 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 향후 비대면소비문화에 대한 이해와 라이브커머스 산업의 효율적인 전략 수립을 위한 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

The Critical Success Factors Influencing the Use of Mobile Learning and its Perceived Impacts in Students' Education: A Systematic Literature Review

  • Mobile Learning (M-learning) adoption and success in supporting students' learning engagement mainly depend on many factors. Therefore, this study systematically reviews the literature, synthesizes and analyzes the predictors of M-learning adoption, and uses success for students' learning engagement. Literature from 2016 to 2023 in various databases is covered in this study. Based on the review's findings, the factors that influence students' learning engagement when it comes to M-learning usage and adoption, can be divided into technical, pedagogical, and social factors. More specifically, technical factors include mobile devices availability and quality, connectivity to the internet, and user-friendly interfaces, pedagogical factors include effective instructional design, teaching methods, and assessment strategies, and social factors include motivation of students, social interaction and perceived enjoyment - all these factors have a significant impact on the M-learning adoption and use success. The findings of the review also indicated that M-learning has a key role in enhancing the learning engagement of students through different ways, like increasing their motivation, attention, and participation in their process of learning, paving the way for interaction and building relationships opportunities with peers and instructors, which in turn, can lead to strengthening the learning environment. The implications of these findings extend beyond immediate educational contexts, offering vital insights for future educational technology strategies and policy decisions, particularly in addressing global educational challenges and embracing technological advancements in learning.

  • This study attempts to explain how communication technology impacts global creative trends. We explore global creative trends based on award-winning creative topics presented at the 2016 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. After analyzing award-winning topics, five main creative trends were selected with the keywords: technology, story-telling, social media, causes, and humor. The 2016 Cannes Lions Festival demonstrated that technology (i.e., virtual reality, artificial intelligence) has expanded the limits of creativity. Story-telling is still considered to be effective for raising audience attention. Social media enhances consumer engagement while nurturing future consumer relationships. Supporting social causes allows companies to garner goodwill from the public. Humor is powerful when it appropriately appeals to both products and customers.

Trade in Developing East Asia: How It Has Changed and Why It Matters

  • East Asia, for long the epitome of successful engagement in trade, faces serious challenges: technological change that may threaten the very model of labor intensive industrialization and a backlash against globalization that may reduce access to important markets. The analysis in this article suggests that how East Asia copes with these global challenges will depend on how it addresses three more proximate national and regional challenges. The first is the emergence of China as a global trade giant, which is fundamentally altering the trading patterns and opportunities of its neighbors. The second is the asymmetric implementation of national reform - in goods trade and investment versus services - which is affecting the evolution of comparative advantage and productivity in each country. The third is the divergence between the relatively shallow and fragmented agreements that regulate the region's trade and investment and the growing importance of regional and global value chains as crucial drivers of productivity growth.

항공사 객실승무원의 조직지원인식과 직무몰입의 관계성 연구: 국내 저비용항공사를 중심으로 (A Study on the Relationship between Cabin Crew's Perceived Organizational Support and Their Work Commitment: Focusing on Low Cost Carrier in Korea)

  • Due to globalization, the air transport industry plays a key role in the global economy. In particular, the air transport industry is highly dependent on human resources, and the capabilities of the cabin crews in managing safety and providing service in a cabin depend on the service quality and the success of the company's human resource management. Therefore, systematic support and interest in competitive key personnel are believed as very important factors. Airlines need to improve the work engagement of airline cabin crew through organizational supportive efforts. Thus this paper surveyed 309 cabin crews who worked at low cost carrier and conducted an empirical analysis based on survey results. The study validates hypotheses pertaining the relationship between organizational identification and job commitment of cabin crew according to the airline's perception of organizational support. The comprehensive analysis reveals that perceived organization support has a significantly positive impact on cabin crews' work engagement.

대함유도탄 요격 확률을 고려한 함정 대공방어유도탄의 최적 운용 연구 (A Study on Optimal Operation against Anti-Air Missiles with Consideration of Anti-Surface Missile Kill Probability)

  • A naval surface-to-air missile is an effective countermeasure against increasing threats of anti-ship missiles. Optimal operation is imperative for high survivability due to limited defense resources of a warship. This paper addresses a problem of optimal engagement to maximize the overall probability of intercept under Shoot-Look-Shoot tactics. The problem is formulated and analyzed with consideration of a realistic single-shoot probability model. The analysis shows that a global solution is achieved for some engagement scenarios. A numerical algorithm to optimize the overall probability of intercept is suggested. An illustrative example is provided to verify our results.

Parasocial Relationships with Live Streamers: Evidence from South Korea and the United States

  • Revisiting the classic conceptualization of parasocial relationships, the current article examines the potential parasocial relationships established with live streamers. More specifically, this research investigates the relationship between exposure and viewer engagement during live streaming, homophily of attitudes, and parasocial relationships with a live streamer. An online survey was conducted with samples in South Korea (n = 504) and the United States (n = 510) in 2020. The hierarchical linear regression analysis shows that in both countries live streaming exposure, engagement during a live stream (e.g., expressing opinions in the chat, donating money, receiving reactions from a streamer), and perceived homophily of attitudes with a live streamer are positively related to perceptions of parasocial relationships. The results confirm parasocial relationships with live streamers are a global phenomenon.

  • COVID-19의 지속적인 영향에 따라 경영환경의 열악함과 경제 전반의 하락으로 조직성과에 막강한 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구는 중국 중소기업에 종사하는 구성원을 대상으로 그들의 부정적인 변수로 지식은폐에 초점을 두었고 긍정적인 변수와 관련하여 직무열의에 초점을 두었다. 실증분석 결과를 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상사의 비인격적 감독은 구성원들의 상사신뢰에 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 구성원들의 상사신뢰는 지식은폐에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 구성원들의 상사신뢰는 직무열의에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 구성원들의 상사신뢰는 상사의 비인격적 감독과 구성원들의 지식은폐 및 직무열의 사이에서 모두 매개 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 어떻게 조직에서 상사들의 비인격적 감독과 구성원들의 지식은폐를 감소시키는 방법과 구성원들의 상사신뢰, 직무열의를 높이는 방법에 대한 시사점을 제시한다.
