해양환경 중에서 Glass Flake 라이닝 강재의 부식과 캐비테이션 침식 방지에 관한 연구 (Study on the Corrosion and Cavitation Erosion Control of Glass Flake Lining for Mild Steel in Marine Environment)

  • Port facilities and marine structures used in marine environment were encountered to corrosion damages because of the influence of $Cl^-$. Generally, to protect these accidents, mainly applied anti-corrosion paint and epoxy coating. But it was still remained erosion-corrosion damage such as impingement erosion, cavitation erosion, deposit attack. There was needs to develope the new coating materials to protective those corrosion damages. This paper, polyester glass flake, vinylester glass flake lining and epoxy coating for SS were investigated electrochemical tests and cavitation erosion test for corrosion behaviour under sea water. The main results obtained are as follows, 1) Surface of epoxy coating appear erosion pin hole but surface of polyester glass flake and vinylester glass flake lining do not appear erosion pin hole after impingement-cavitation erosion test in sea water. 2) Weight loss of polyester glass flake and vinylester glass flake lining do not occur after impingement-cavitation erosion test in sea water. 3) Corrosion current density of polyester glass flake lining less drained than epoxy coating and substrate under corrosion potential.. 4) Corrosion current density of vinylester glass flake lining with three coating less drained than that of polyester glass flake lining with two coating.

RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링으로 증착된 AlOx 봉지 박막을 갖는 OLED 소자의 수명 특성 (Life Time Characteristics of OLED Device with AlOx Passivation Film Deposited by RF Magnetron Sputtering)

  • We investigated the life time characteristics of OLED device with aluminium oxide ($AlO_x$) passivation film on glass substrate and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate by RF magnetron sputtering for the transparent barrier film applied to flexible OLED device. Basic buffer layer was determined as $Alq_3$(500 nm)-LiF(300 nm)-Al(1200 nm), and the most suitable aluminium oxide ($AlO_x$) film have been formed when the partial volume ratio of oxygen was 20% and the sputtering power was 100 watt and the minimum thickness of buffer was $2\;{\mu}m$. $AlO_x$/epoxy hybrid film was also used as a effective passivation layer for the purpose of improving life time characteristics of OLED devices with the glass substrate and the plastic substrate. Besides, the simultaneous deposition of $AlO_x$/epoxy film on back side of PET could result in better improvement of life time.

  • In this paper, to anlayze electromagnetic distribution, measure the variation of relative permittivity of Glass-epoxy substrate for Computer-main-board and Tenon substrate for handphone or PCS in the frequency range $100[MHz]{\sim}1[GHz]$, in room temperature. To measure relative permittivity, suggested the Microstripline method. As the frequency increase, the variation of relative permittivity of Glass-epoxy is bigger than Tefoln's. And simulate the electromagnetic distribution on the PCBs in the infinite region applying the open boundary condition with these results by Finite Element Method.

  • Since its discovery in 2004, graphene, a sp2-hybridized 2-Dimension carbon material, has drawn enormous attention. A variety of approaches have been attempted, such as epitaxial growth from silicon carbide, chemical reduction of graphene oxide and CVD. Among these approaches, the CVD process takes great attention due to its guarantee of high quality and large scale with high yield on various transition metals. After synthesis of graphene on metal substrate, the subsequent transfer process is needed to transfer graphene onto various target substrates, such as bubbling transfer, renewable epoxy transfer and wet etching transfer. However, those transfer processes are hard to control and inevitably induce defects to graphene film. Especially for wet etching transfer, the metal substrate is totally etched away, which is horrendous resources wasting, time consuming, and unsuitable for industry production. Thus, our group develops one-step process to directly grow graphene on glass substrate in plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD). Copper foil is used as catalyst to enhance the growth of graphene, as well as a temperature shield to provide relatively low temperature to glass substrate. The effect of growth time is reported that longer growth time will provide lower sheet resistance and higher VSG flakes. The VSG with conductivity of $800{\Omega}/sq$ and thickness of 270 nm grown on glass substrate can be obtained under 12 min growing time. The morphology is clearly showed by SEM image and Raman spectra that VSG film is composed of base layer of amorphous carbon and vertically arranged graphene flakes.

대면적 TFT-LCD 유리기판 이송용 복합재료 로봇 손 개발에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Development of Composite Robot Hand for TFT-LCD Glass Transport)

  • A robot hand is used to transport the glass substrate in TFT-LCD manufacturing process. Carbon/epoxy composite is one of the best materials for this kind of robot hand application, due to their lightweight, high stiffness, and good damping characteristics. Major requirement of the robot hand is given as allowable deflection under weight loading of glass substrate and robot hand itself. In this thesis, a carbon/epoxy robot hand was analyzed using finite element method and beam theory to determine the deflection of the hand under the loading that is equivalent to actual weight. Because natural frequency is one of the major interests in robot hand design for TFT-LCD manufacturing process, modal analysis is also conducted using finite element method and beam theory. A robot hand was manufactured, and actual deflection and natural frequency were measured to verify the analysis results and compliance to requirement. The test results showed good agreement with analysis results.

비전도성 에폭시를 사용한 RF-MEMS 소자의 웨이퍼 레벨 밀봉 실장 특성

  • In this paper, hermetic sealing was studied fur wafer level packaging of the MEMS devices. With the flip-chip bonding method, this B-stage epoxy sealing will be profit to MEMS device sealing and further more RF-MEMS device sealing. B-stage epoxy can be cured 2-step and hermetic sealing can be obtained. After defining $500{\mu}{\textrm}{m}$-width seal-lines on the glass cap substrate by screen printing, it was pre-baked at $90^{\circ}C$ for about 30 minutes. It was then aligned and bonded with device substrate followed by post-baked at $175^{\circ}C$ for about 30 minutes. By using this 2-step baking characteristic, the width and the height of the seal-line were maintained during the sealing process. The height of the seal-line was controlled within $\pm0.6${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and the strength was measured to about 20MPa by pull test. The leak rate of the epoxy was about $10^7$ cc/sec from the leak test.

에폭시 수지에 따른 언더필의 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristic of Underfill with Various Epoxy Resin)

  • 다양한 에폭시 수지를 함유한 언더필의 열적 특성을 시차주사열량측정법, 열중량측정법, 동적-기계적 분석법, 열적-기계적 분석법과 같은 열 분석법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 또한, 언더필과 FR-4기판 사이의 접합 강도를 측정하였다. Cycolaliphatic 에폭시 수지를 함유한 언더필의 유리 전이 온도가 cycolaliphatic 에폭시 수지를 함유하지 않은 언더필의 유리 전이 온도보다 낮음을 확인할 수 있다. 대기로부터 유입된 산소와 열화된 폴리머 사이의 화학적 반응으로 인하여 언더필의 열적 감소 반응이 두 번 발생하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. Cycolaliphatic 에폭시 수지를 함유한 언더필의 열팽창 계수가 cycolaliphatic 에폭시 수지를 함유하지 않은 언더필의 열팽창 계수보다 높음을 확인할 수 있다. 과도한 경화 온도는 에폭시 수지의 경계면을 약하게 하여 에폭시 수지의 기계적 특성의 변화를 초래하게 되고 언더필과 FR-4 기판 사이의 접합 특성을 저하시키게 된다.

유리/다공성 알루미나의 접촉하중에 의한 기계적 거동 (Mechanical Behavior of Glass/Porous Alumina by Contact Loading)

  • Porous alumina with different porosities, 5.2 - 47.5%, were coated with cover-glass having a thickness of $160{\mu}m$, using epoxy adhesive. We investigated the effect of the porosity of the substrate layer on the crack initiation load, and the size of cracks propagated in the coating layer. Hertzian indentations were used to evaluate the damage behavior under a constrained loading condition. Typically, two types of cracks, ring cracks and radial cracks, were observed on the surface of the glass/porous alumina structure. Indentation stress-strain curves, crack initiation loads, crack propagation sizes, and flexural strengths were investigated as a function of porosities. The results indicated that a porosity of less than 30% and a higher substrate elastic modulus were beneficial at suppressing cracks occurrence and propagation. We expect lightweight mechanical components with high strength can be successfully fabricated by coating and controlling porosities in the substrate layer.

인쇄공정으로 제조된 저항형 습도센서의 감습특성에 대한 전극패턴의 영향 연구 (The Effect of Electrode Pattern on the Humidity-sensing Properties of the Resistive Humidity Sensor Based on All-printing Process)

  • 저항형 습도센서의 개발을 위하여 스크린 인쇄방법으로 glass epoxy(GE) 기재 위에 핑거의 수와 그 사이의 간격이 다른 여러 가지 바이트형의 금 전극을 제조하였다. 전극의 기본적인 구조는 핑거 수가 3, 4 및 5를 가지며 간격은 각각 310과 460 ${\mu}m$이다. 전극은 처음에 은 나노 페이스트로 전극 패턴을 인쇄하고 연속적으로 Cu, Ni 및 Au를 무전해 도금을 진행하여 제조하였다. 감습성 고분자 전해질은 [2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl] dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride(MDBAC)과 methyl methacrylate(MMA)의 공중합체를 사용하였으며 스크린 인쇄 방법으로 Au 전극/GE 기재 위에 인쇄하였다. 이렇게 제조된 습도 센서의 20-95%RH 영역의 상대습도 대 로그 임피던스 그래프에서 좋은 직선성을 보여주었으며 히스테리시스는 1.5%RH 이하 및 75초의 응답 및 회복 속도를 보여주었다. 전극의 구조는 고분자 저항형 습도센서의 감습특성에 큰 영향을 미치며 전해질 고분자와 전극 사이의 활성화 에너지, 온도의존성, 감도, 직선성 및 히스테리시스와 같은 감습특성 등의 차이를 비교하였고 특히 이온의 이동에 관여하는 활성화 에너지 및 온도 의존성에 큰 영향을 미쳤다.

레이저 가열을 이용한 LCD 컬러 필터 프린팅 공정에 관한 연구 (A Study on LCD Color Filter Printing Process Using Localized Laser Heating)

  • A new printing process for LCD color filter is proposed in this work by using the localized laser heating, which is called laser-induced spray printing (LISP) process. The LISP is a non-contact process, which injects the ink from the donor substrate to the glass substrate by the bubble pressure induced by laser heating. The temperature distribution of the donor substrate is calculated numerically to explain the ink ejection phenomena. The composition of the ink was includes the red pigment, n-butanol, xylene, BCA and epoxy. Experiments were conducted by using the fiber laser system, and the color filter patterns were deposited successfully under the proper laser heating conditions.
