회전이동 및 병진이동 알고리즘을 이용한 조합된 치형형상(3-타원 및 타원-인벌루트-타원)을 갖는 지로터의 최적설계 (Optimal Design of Gerotor with Combined Profiles (Three-Ellipse and Ellipse-Involute-Ellipse) Using Rotation and Translation Algorithm)

  • 내접형 기어펌프에 사용되는 지로터의 경우, 소결 공정기술의 발달로 복잡한 형상의 가공이 용이하며 내구성과 소형화의 장점이 있으나, 자동차의 연비효율 개선을 위한 유량증대 및 소음저감을 위한 연구가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 병진이동에 의한 지로터 치형의 형상조합 알고리즘이 가지는 형상 불연속성을 개선하기 위하여 회전이동 및 병진이동을 이용한 형상조합 알고리즘을 개발하였으며, 이를 토대로 개발된 설계 프로그램을 이용하여 3-타원이 조합된 경우와 타원 1-인벌루트-타원 2 이조합된 경우에 대해 치형형상을 도출하고, 형상에 따른 로터의 주요성능(유량, 유량맥동, 미끄럼률 및 압력각)을 계산하였다. 해석결과를 토대로 조합된 치형형상에 대한 최적설계를 수행하였으며, 기존 치형과의 성능 비교를 통하여 설계의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • A gerotor pump is suitable for oil hydraulics of machine tools, automotive engines, compressors, constructions and other various applications. In particular the pump is an essential machine element that feeds lubricant oil in an automotive engine. The subject of this paper is the theoretical analysis of internal lobe pump whose the main components are the two rotors. Usually the outer one is characterized by lobes with a circular shape, while the inner rotor profile is determined as a conjugate to the other. For this reason the first topic presented here is the definition of the geometry of the rotors starting from the design parameters. The choice of these parameters is subject to some limitations in order to limit the pressure angle between the rotors. Now we will consider the design optimization. The first step is the determination of the instantaneous flow rate as a function of the design parameter. This allows us to calculate three performance indexes commonly used for the study of positive displacement pumps the flow rate irregularity, the specific flow rate, and the specific slipping. These indexes are used to optimize the design of the pump and to obtain the sets of optimum design parameter Results obtained from the analysis enable the designer and manufacturer of the oil pump to be more efficient in this field.

  • A disadvantage in the design of a hypotrochoidal gear pump as in a gerotor pump is a lack of parts that can be adjusted to compensate for wear in the rotor set, and as a consequence, it causes a sharp reduction of volumetric efficiency. In this paper, an attempt has been made to reduce the wear rate between the rotors of a hypotrochoidal gear pump. Using the knowledge of shape design on the rotors, the contact stresses without hydrodynamic effect between the rotors' teeth are evaluated through the calculation of the Hertzian contact stress. Based on the above result and the sliding velocity between the rotors, a genetic algorithm (GA) is used as an optimization technique for minimizing the wear rate proportional factor (WRPF). The result shows that the wear rate or the WRPF can be reduced considerably, e.g. approximately 12.8% in this paper, throughout the optimization using GA.

  • Most of the work of construction equipment and agricultural machinery is done in off-road conditions. Autonomous driving required in these conditions uses GPS sensors, and PID controllers to control their speed and position. The hydrostatic steering, which is composed of a PSU, hydraulic hoses, and cylinders, rather than a mechanical coupling is used in these equipments. The PSU plays a key role in hydrostatic steering. Precise control of the position under various conditions requires detailed behavioral analysis of the basic components and operation. Two Gerotor PSU is now a commonly used safer option. The components of the PSU can be divided into mechanical and hydraulic actuating elements by its behavior. Since the system is combined by mechanical and hydraulic elements, the modelings are performed using Amesim, which is one of the most effective for the multi-domain dynamic system analysis. To confirm the validity of the model, input torque and pressures are checked with varying steering speed. The opening and the steering speed of normal and newly designed control valve set is investigated with the effect of centering spring force and friction. Finally, simulation results with fully detailed model with two gerotors are analyzed and compared with simple model.

In particular, the pump is an essential machine element of an automotive engine to feed lubricant oil. The subject of this paper is the theoretical analysis of internal lobe pump whose the main components are the rotors: usually the outer one is characterized by lobe with elliptical and involute shapes, while the inner rotor profile is determined as conjugate to the other. And the integrated design system which is composed of three main modules has been developed through AutoLISP under AutoCAD circumstance plus CFD-ACE+. It generates new lobe profile and calculates automatically the flow rate and flow rate irregularity according to the lobe profile generated. CFD simulation results show trends similar to those carried out in experiments, and a quantitative comparison is presented. Results obtained from the automotive integrated design system enable the designer and manufacturer of oil pump to be more efficient in this field.

  • Torque Generator is a product which has function to transform hydraulic energy to mechanical energy of torque and rotating speed, and be used for direction change device of agricultural machines. This study proposes failure analysis and test analysis on torque generator and introduces a process that reliability of a product is enhanced by design improvement. And also it presents improvements of maximum output torque by modifying design and surface treatment. Lastly it verifies reliability improvement by analyzing test results of before and after life test.

Also, the design of outer rotor depends on new applications with removing carryover phenomenon. The system generates new lobe profile and calculates automatically the flow rate and flow rate irregularity according to the lobe profile generated. In order to obtain rotor shapes in performance and to find optimize the design parameters, a Taguchi method is proposed in this paper. Results obtained from the analysis enable the designer and manufacturer of oil pump to be more efficient in this field.
