웹 GIS 기반 철도 지반정보 관리프로그램의 개발 (Development of the Railroad Geotechnical Information Management System Using Web GIS)

  • Railroad geotechnical information management system was developed by using Web GIS and DB in this study. The standardization of railroad geotechnical information is progressed by classifying three groups as like basic informations, vibration informations along railway lines and design drawings. The basic informations consisted of basic and dynamic properties of soils, geophysical exploration and seismic survey/exploration. And the specification for 'human exposure to whole-body vibration' was adopted to construct the vibration informations along railway lines. The informations as like drawings and photographs were saved by changing to graphic files in the standardization of design drawings. In the case of standardization of geographical information, the topographical maps(NGIS, 1:5000) were primarily used as digital maps. Another digital maps(KRRI, 1:5000) and their geographical DB based on NGI code system were added on this maps. The standardized informations were used to construct their database. And railroad information management system was developed using Entity-Relation(ER) model which had a good feasibility for expansion and transition to other system in designing stage of database. This system consisted of layer selection, search and analysis of geotechnical informations and Zeus DB was adopted for GIS operating and user interface. This system could be a good tool for saving, searching and analyzing the geotechnical and geophysical informations. These DB systems would offered the basic informations to plans, design and construction of railroad lines etc. in practical use.

Correspondence analysis for studying association between geography and cancer

  • Geographical location carries information such as demography, local economy, environment, and life styles, which could be the sources of cancer occurrence. Analyzing geographical location associated with cancer occurrence can be instructive to physicians, patients, and health administrators regarding resource allocation, expenditures, prophylaxis and treatments. In this paper, we explored the correspondence relationship between geographical locations and mortality rates of the cancers using correspondence analysis and illustrated the approach with the mortality rates of the top 10 cancers in the 75 counties in Arkansas from 2001 to 2005. Geographical variations with respect to the mortality rates of cancers are evaluated across Arkansas counties. Based on the contingency table, correspondence analysis model is developed and the simple indices which indicate the degree to which the regions and the cancers affect each other are calculated. Quantitative results are visualized and mapped in two-dimensional graphs.

  • Flood is the main natural disaster mostly in the world. It is a care problem to prevent flood disaster generally. The frequency of flood disaster is high and the distributing field is wide, the 50 percent population and 70 percent properties distribute at the threaten field of flood disaster in China. Flood disaster has caused a huge amount of economical losses and these losses have an increasing trend. Along with the development of reducing natural disaster action, it has become one of the most attentive problems for monitoring flood, preventing flood and forecasting flood efficiently. Remote sensing has the characteristics of large spatial observing areas, wide spectrum ranges, and imaging far away from the targets, imaging capabilities all weather. Spatial remote sensing information, which records the full, processes of the disaster's occurrence and development in real-time. It is a scientific basis for management, planning and decision-making. Through systemic analyzing the RS monitoring theory, based on compounding RS information, the technology and method of monitoring flood disaster are studied.

증강현실을 이용한 3차원 지리정보안내시스템 개발 (The Development on 3D Geographical Information Guide System using Augmented Reality)

  • 일반적으로 지리정보시스템(GIS)은 실세계에 대한 정보를 컴퓨터상에서 수치지도로 디지털화하여 저장한 다음, 사용자에게 원하는 형태로 가공하여 제공한다 따라서 사용자가 지리정보를 얻기 위해서는 실세계가 배제된 디지털화된 수치지도만 사용하므로 현실감이 떨어지게 된다. 그러나 사용자가 주시하는 실세계를 배경으로 그에 동조하는 부가 정보를 함께 정합하여 보여주는 증강현실(Augmented Reality) 기술은 현실감 증대에 많은 도움을 줄 수 있으며, 최근 많은 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지리정보를 얻기 위하여 단순히 수치지도를 보면서 지리정보를 획득하는 기존의 시스템을 개선하여 사용자가 주시하는 실세계 영상을 배경으로 건물명, 도로명과 같은 부가정보를 실시간으로 중첩하여 보여 주는 증강현실 기술을 이용한 3차원 지리정보안내시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • 최근 다양한 분야에서 지리 정보의 활용이 증가함에 따라 지리 정보를 좀더 효율적으로 이용하고자 지리 정보 시스템을 구축하였다. 지리 정보 시스템은 고유한 데이타 포맷을 사용하여 지리 정보를 관리하였다. 시간이 지남에 따라 다양한 분야에서 기존에 구축해 놓은 다양한 지리 정보 시스템의 지리 정보를 자유롭게 유통 및 활용하려는 요구가 증가하게 되었다. 따라서, 기존에 구축된 지리 정보 시스템의 정보를 변환하여 이를 이용하고자 하는 지리 정보 시스템에 전달하여 주는 데이타 변환 과정이 필요하게 되었다. 따라서. 본 연구에서는 지리 정보 시스템간의 데이타 변환을 좀더 효율적이도록 국제 표준을 따르는 공간 데이타 변환 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.

  • 대한지리학회 창립 이후 우리 나라의 초.중등 학교 지리교육 개선에 기여하기 위 하여 산출된 연구업적을 검토함으로써, 기왕의 지리교육 연구의 성과와 미흡한 점을 파악하 고 미래지향적인 지리교육연구의 방향을 설정하여 보고자 하였다. 우리 나라의 지리교육 연 구는 그동안 양과 질의 양 측면에서 큰 발전을 이룩하였으며, 특히 여섯번의 교육과정이 새 롭게 개정되는 과정에서 지리교과의 위상을 유지, 발전시키고 현장의 지리교육을 개선하는 데 기여한 바가 매우 크다. 그러나, 우리 나라의 지리교육이 보다 발전되고 안정된 위상을 정립하기 위한 연구의 방향으로서는 지리교육의 성격, 문제점 및 개선방안 영역과 지리교육 목적.목표, 지리교육 심리영역에 대한 연구 중심, 연구영역 전반에 걸친 세분화와 전문화, 정의적 영역과 기능적 영역 그리고 초.중등의 연계성에 대한 고려, 더욱 증진된 지리학과 지리교육간의 협조관계의 수립을 통한 지리교육 언어개발, 지리교육 내용의 적합성에 대한 비판적 연구를 위한 노력이 필요하다.

  • Mountains have been playing an important role in the Japanese culture. It is important from landscape planning perspectives to maintain mountains in the proximity of cities. In this thesis, the geographical perception of residents in Kohoku New Town has been studied. Geographical changes before and after the Kohoku New Town development were clarified first. Following these clarifications, interviews with residents who moved into the area before and after the development were conducted. In this investigation, the interviewees were asked about mountains, valleys, hills, and slopes; and the areas that they recognize on the map were then specified. From these results, the mountain area which residents recognize and the actual geographical features were compared. The geographical characteristics of the mountains that the residents recognize were revealed, and the perception of mountains was defined. Not only did geographical features and vegetation affect the perception of mountains, but also residents' personal experiences were important. As a result, new information for future geographical landscape planning has been obtained.

  • 본 논문에서는 여러 응용 분야의 GIS에서 기본 map으로 사용되는 지적도에 대하여 raster 영상데이타로부터 벡터(vector)영상을 구하는 벡터화 알고리즘 및 자동 지역 생성 알고리즘을 제시하고, 이들로부터 직선(edge)들로 이루어진 segment, region(polygon)등의 주요 지형 객체 인식 및 처리를 자동적으로 수행하는 고속 지형 객체 처리 소프트웨어 ARM(Automatic geographical en-tity Recognition and Modeling)에 대해서 설명한다.

Geographical Information System 기법을 이용한 방문간호 중재 평가 (Evaluation of Visiting Nursing Care Using Geographical Information System(GIS) Technology)

  • Purpose: Previous evaluation studies of the visiting nursing program explained an average change of the participants' health status, without considering socio-ecological characteristics and their impacts. However, these factors must affect individual health problems and lifestyles. For effective and appropriate community based programs, the Geographical Information System(GIS) can be utilized. GIS is a computer-based tool for mapping and analyzing things that happen on earth, and integrates statistical analysis with unique visualization. The purpose of this study was to evaluate visiting nursing care and to advocate the usefulness of planning and evaluating visiting nursing programs using Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis(ESDA) with GIS technology. Methods: One hundred eighty-four elderly participants with cerebrovascular risk factors who lived in 13 areas of one community received visiting nursing care. The data analyzed characteristics of pre-post change and autocorrelation by ESDA using GIS technology. Results: Visiting nursing care showed an improvement in the participants' lifestyle habits, and family management ability and stress level, while the improvements were different depending on the regions. The change of family management ability and stress level correlated with neighborhoods (Morgan's I=0.1841, 0.1675). Conclusions: Community health providers need to consider the individual participant's health status as well as socio-ecological factors. Analysis using GIS technology will contribute to the effective monitoring, evaluation and design of a visiting nursing program.
