  • New city development policy caused many effects such as destruction of nature and area native culture extinction through fast development within short period. The architectural context is remains by post-modern most difficult problem had left to architects. We need to find the design method that communicate and contacts character of place, cultural context through the actual project. In this study, we propose the method of aspect of compose space and design elements to succeed the cultural place and context, desirable development through the design proposal for Dochon welfare center. In Dochon area, there is no original character of the place because of indiscreet development. Dochon synthesis society welfare facilities is openable to people by space that nature and human contacts and accomplishes relation, Made efforts to do so that can do part that causes human's ripple effect of contact with human and accomplishes traffic and recovers identity of Dochon area at the same time recovery of community consciousness.

  • This paper introduces a GP (Genetic Programming) based robust technique for the prediction of a heavy rain newsflash. The nature of prediction for precipitation is very complex, irregular and highly fluctuating. Especially, the prediction of heavy precipitation is very difficult. Because not only it depends on various elements, such as location, season, time and geographical features, but also the case data is rare. In order to provide a robust model for precipitation prediction, a nonlinear and symbolic regression method using GP is suggested. The remaining part of the study is to evaluate the performance of prediction for a heavy rain newsflash using a GP based nonlinear regression technique in Korean regions. Analysis of the feature selection is executed and various fitness functions are proposed to improve performances. The KLAPS data of 2006-2010 is used for training and the data of 2011 is adopted for verification.

  • We need to study on simulation method of user's mobility Patterns for the performance analysis of the location management in wireless mobile networks. For this purpose ,this paper presents a user mobility model of wireless mobile networks with regular Patterns Sometimes mobile users randomly move , but they show the movement characteristics that regularly change their locations in some patterns in given time slots. So, we suggest the mobility model that can describe user's time related movement patterns. This model consists of some elements-positions, transitions , transition Probabilities which are variable, and some geographical paths for each transitions. We describe the simulation method for users' mobilities with random movements and regular movements , too. The simulation results by the model show that the suggested model can generate movement scenarios having regular patterns related with location and time.

  • Plans to utilize the resources of the coast guard are underway for the revitalization of the area and the development of tourism resources in recent years. As most of the plans have been focused on some specific factors such as geographical or regional conditions, and therefore systematic approaches are needed in corporation with other related projects. This study suggested the measures on activating the coastal tourism resources for Woodoo~Woocheon village in Goheung-gun by using the coastal landscape elements. The current status of natural environment and tourism resources for coastal regions were investigated in Woodoo~Woocheon village and plans for enhancing connectivity with local residents were suggested. Based on the scenic values of coastal region, landscape were assessed from the perspective of the sustainable coastal tourism resources in the future. Several solutions were suggested to enhance tour values; coastal deck road to enhance connectivity between resources and accessibility of foreign tourists, social communication among local residents and authorities, continuous development of cultural and historic resources in local area. In addition, information signs and new stair ways would be needed to improve the accessibility of tourists. In the future, if the plan for this study was to generate profitability with persistence, it suggested that there was a way to move forward in conjunction with the profit rate local projects distributed around it.

  • The beauty of Korean architecture is in its natural beauty. Traditional residence of Korea is architecture that expresses modesty that is embraces the nature. Hanok is designed based on understanding of the nature and responding to it. For this reason, Hanok is a nature-friendly residential space. There are many unique traits of Hanok and one of them is that it is built based on scientific principles. Hanok, without using modern technology and machines, utilizes effectively the natural environment and the climate, e.g., the sun and the wind. Hanok, based on Korea's geographical condition and climate characteristics, have produced a variety of residential houses. The principle of Hanok is not to challenge the nature but embrace and accept it. Furthermore, in Hanok is embedded Korea's traditional philosophy and ideas and it is not simply a simple residential space but also a place for meditation and spiritual training. As the time passes, there are more researches are being done to enhance health in addition to traditional role of protection and convenience. Accordingly, more efforts are being made to bring the nature into human life. Hanok, the traditional residential form of Korea, has environment-friendly architecture and characteristics that could promote human health and enhance our life. Therefore, the nature-oriented philosophy and environmental elements of Hanok should be more systematically studied to take advantage of its architectural advantages and create healthier modern residential culture.

  • In this study, we analyzed the relationship between four elements: long-wave radiation, the direction of the building, BVR (Building View Ratio), and cloud amount. We examined how long-wave radiations surrounding a building influences the perception of heat in the summer. The results are as follows. (1) Long-wave radiation and BVR are highly correlated regardless of geographical direction. (2) Especially, during dawn in a clear day, areas with high BVR observed high levels of long-wave radiation. (3) This correlation suggests that higher BVR in urban areas will result in a greater number of tropical nights.

  • Industrialization has accelerated the expansion of mobility to the urban areas, land use for function of residence and consumption. With the urbanization, the management and distribution of the physical space of the city and rational design have also become major issues. Rapid and widespread urbanization has consistently accumulated problems of natural, physical, environmental, and psychological circumstances, and most of urban areas have begun to focus on restoring an efficient, safe and healthy urban environment to improve of the quality of life since the latter half of the 20th century, New-Urbanism is a new urban development paradigm that resembles the practical implications of a shared economy for social, economic and environmental cost reduction.. The geographical significance of the sharing city's concept of the alleys is to revitalize sustainable cities while restoring the attractive elements of the city. This study examines the lessons of New-Urbanism in those traditional urban space comparing with each East Asia's cities such as golmok (alley or backlane) in Seoul, Huton in Beijing, Lilong in Shanghai, and Roji in Japan. This study diagnoses whether main principals of New-Urbanism such as development of good community and walkable pedestrian route, restoration of regional identity and sense of the place, and mitigation of climate change strategy can be practiced in the community of alley as well.

  • Construction automation and robotics have been widely adopted in the construction industry as a promising solution to such issues like a shortage of skilled labor and the difficulties workers face in harsh working environments. The analysis of the knowledge structure and its evolution from the existing articles helps identify essential knowledge elements and possible future research directions. This study attempts to (1) construct keyword networks from the papers published in the International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction (ISARC), (2) investigate how keywords and keyword communities are associated with each other, and (3) examine the changes in the crucial keywords over time. Through cluster analysis, 79 keywords were categorized into four groups (BIM, Building construction, Sensing, and GPS as representative keywords) with similar structural positions. Research trends show that research themes related to Infrastructure, Construction equipment, and 3D have consistently received a large amount of attention, regardless of geographical region. Research on as-built status model utilization through BIM and Laser scanning and improving Energy performance is taking place more frequently. In contrast, research studies related to problem-solving based on Neural networks are not as common as previously. This study provides useful insights into the construction automation field, at both the macro and micro levels.

  • Religions have the characteristics ultimately to solve the problems of human beings. These religions are externally expressed through the behaviors called rituals and contain substantially symbolic meanings. A ritual is a kind of transcendental experiences and infinite experience conducted in the reality and formalizes external behaviors in front of the presence of holy subject. Therefore, there is no religion without rituals. However, there are insignificant differences between religions or sects in performing rituals. The purpose of a ritual for human beings who have access to the holy world and this world is to keep their balances not to excessively indulge in this world. Moreover, a ritual plays the role to exercise strict control over the daily life of religious people who are in the holy world but easily tend to be accustomed to force of habit. These rituals are closely related to belief. Belief(Conviction) is one of core elements of religion. Belief as the unique activity among various behaviors of human beings illustrates another characteristics of human beings. The common efforts in the history of mankind to overcome cultural or geographical differences through existing religions can be represented by belief, that is, the faith. On the basis of background described above, this study aims to identify the meaning of rituals and dynamic structure of belief as examining the rituals of Daesoonjinrihoe.
