  • To develop a sailing yacht successfully, systematic engineering information is required including technologies from various companies and know-how about sailing yacht. The engineering information about sailing yacht has a complex and extensive structure. Therefore, a robust and high-level of management system is needed to manage the information. In this paper, we design and propose Generic-YWBS (Generic-Yacht Work Breakdown Structure), a work breakdown structure for sailing yachts. The Generic-YWBS is aimed at constructing sailing yachts and contains contents about product- and process-oriented information of sailing yachts. In addition, the Generic-YWBS plays an important role in managing the engineering information as a basic schema of database and system architecture. The Generic-YWBS is derived from fundamental WBS design processes and various rules about sailing yachts, for example, ISAF (International Sailing Federation) equipment rule and IRC rating rule, and a generic structure concept is applied for flexibility. The Generic-YWBS is applicable for various purposes. We designed a detailed code system in order to apply the Generic-YWBS to contents management system. The series of activities are realized through a web-based RIA(Rich Internet Application) program. This program manages the YWBS structure in an XML schema, and the Generic-YWBS management application offers a customizing function to be adapted in the field.

  • A four-times-VDD switch that supports high and low voltage mode operations is demonstrated in a generic 65 nm logic process. The proposed switch shows the robust operation for supply voltages ranging from VDD to $4{\times}VDD$. A cascaded voltage switch and a voltage doubler based charge pump generate the intermediate supply voltage levels required for the proposed high voltage switch. All the high voltage circuits developed in this work can be implemented using standard logic transistors without being subject to any voltage overstress.

  • Nowadays XML is used for exchanging information in e-Commerce, especially B2B. Necessity of XML DBMS has being increased to efficiently process XML data. So a lots of database products for supporting XML are rapidly appeared in the market. In this paper, we made an XML DBMS system based on Generic Data Model. First we developed XML Adaptor based on Generic Data Model and added it on relational DBMS for developing XML DBMS. XML Adaptor is composed of Query Convertor and XML Repository System. The Query Convertor parse commands that are for XML data manipulation and then call the relevant component of XML Repository System for relational database operation. The XML Repository System handles relational database operations such as create, delete, store, and etc. In this way we can use a relational DBMS for manipulation XML data. Therefor we can build more economically XML DBMS.

  • In this paper, we design an 8-bit eSuse OTP (one-time programmable) memory in consideration of EM (electro-migration) and eFuse resistance variation based on a $0.18{\mu}m$ generic process, which is used for an analog trimming application. First, we use an external program voltage to increase the program power applied an eFuse. Secondly, we apply a scheme of precharging BL to VSS prior to RWL (read word line) activation and optimize read NMOS transistors to reduce the read current flowing through a non-programmed cell. Thirdly, we design a sensing margin test circuit with a variable pull-up load out of consideration for the eFuse resistance variation of a programmed eFuse. Finally, we increase program yield of eFuse OTP memory by splitting the length of an eFuse link.

  • Recently, Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) has been attempting to modernize the review processes for generic drug products. Obviously, the modernization effort will lead to harmonize the guidelines in the process to the internationally acceptable level. In general, the Korean version of abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) consisted of similarly to those in developed countries (viz, specifications for bulk drug/preparation, bioequivalence, and stability); However, there exists a significant gap in the sophistication of the guidelines between the Korean version and those in the other countries. • As part of the safety case development for generic disposal sites in Korea, it is necessary to develop generic assessment models using various geosphere-biosphere interfaces (GBIs) and potentially exposed groups (PEGs) that reflect the natural environmental characteristics and the lifestyles of people in Korea. In this study, a unique modeling strategy was developed to systematically construct and select Korean generic biosphere assessment models. The strategy includes three process steps (combination, screening, and experts' scoring) for the biosphere system conditions. First, various conditions, such as climate, topography, GBIs, and PEGs, were combined in the biosphere system. Second, the combined calculation cases were configured into interrelation matrices to screen out some calculation cases that were highly unlikely or less significant in terms of the exposure dose. Finally, the selected calculation cases were prioritized based on expert judgment by scoring the knowledge, probability, and importance. The results of this study can be implemented in the development of biosphere assessment models for Korean generic sites. It is believed that this systematic methodology for selecting the candidate calculation cases can contribute to increasing the confidence of future site-specific biosphere assessment models.

  • This paper introduces an Internet-based generic simulator for outpatient clinics, named PIOS (Postech Internet-based Outpatient Simulator). Unlike other simulation tools, PIOS is operated on the Internet, is straightforward to use for outpatient process analysis, and is open to public via http://logistics.postech.ac.kr/pios with free of charge. Therefore, non-simulation expert users such as hospital administrators and managers can easily access to PIOS and conduct simulation study by themselves. In this paper, we describe the main components and programming logic of PIOS, and demonstrate its validity by comparing the output results of PIOS and a commercial software package.

  • With the increased use of the internet and the tremendous amount of data it transfers, it is more necessary to summarize documents. We propose a new method using the Non-negative Semantic Variable Matrix (NSVM) and the generic important of semantic features obtained by Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) to extract the sentences for automatic generic summarization. The proposed method use non-negative constraints which is more similar to the human's cognition process. As a result, the proposed method selects more meaningful sentences for summarization than the unsupervised method used the Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA) or clustering methods. The experimental results show that the proposed method archives better performance than other methods.

  • A nonlinear process-model based control for main steam temperature control of a 100MW oil-fired drum-type fossil power plant is delveloped and its performances are compared to those of the conventional PID control. The process model for simulation is derived based "first priciple approach" and is validated in steady and transient conditions. The model is in good agreements with the field test data. Performances of the nonlinear PMBC for main steam temperature control are far superior to those of PID in all aspects for the disturbances of ramp increase in load and step change in fuel Btu value.

  • An animal-component-free and chemically defined fed-batch process for GS-engineered cell lines producing recombinant antibodies has been developed. The fed-batch process relied on supplying sufficient nutrients to match their consumption, simultaneously minimizing the accumulation of by-products (lactate and osmolality). The proportionalities of nutritional consumption were determined by direct analysis. The robust, metabolically responsive feeding strategy was based on the offline measurement of glucose. The fed-batch process was shown to perform equivalently in GS-CHO and GS-NS0 cultures. Compared with batch cultures, the fed-batch technology generated the greater increase in cell yields (5-fold) and final antibody concentrations (4-8-fold). The majority of the increase in final antibody concentration was a function of the increased cell density and the prolonged culture time. This generic and high-yielding fed-batch process would shorten development time, and ensure process stability, thereby facilitating the manufacture of therapeutic antibodies by GS-engineered cell lines.
