  • In domestic, various repair materials and method systems to keep up with these reinforced concrete deteriorated due to salt damage, carbonation. chemical decay et. being developed and applied. However, present polymer cement mortar applied to section restoration system cause the problem of long-term working and economica] efficiency. because that is divided into two process of liquid corrosion prevention agent and polymer cement mortar. In this background, accelerated test with due regard to $3\%$ NaCl soaking and autoclave cure was performed to confirm steel bar corrosion prevention properties of polymer cement mortar mixed with corrosion prevention agent of powdered type. In conclusion. we confirmed application possibility and excellency of steel bar corrosion prevention properties of polymer cement mortar mixed with corrosion prevention agent of powdered type comparing general polymer cement mortar applied to section restoration system of present study.

Investigation of physical characteristics for Al2O3:C dosimeter using LM-OSL

  • This paper reports results on the physical properties of a powder type of $Al_2O_3:C$ commonly used as a luminescence dosimeter using the LM-OSL technique. On the analysis with the general order kinetics model, the LM-OSL signal measured appeared to be composed of three components (fast, medium, slow) showing the largest area in the medium component. The photoionization cross sections of three components were distributed between $10^{-19}{\sim}10^{-21}cm^2$. The values of the thermal assistance energy were evaluated the largest in slow component and the smallest in fast component, which indicates the electrons trapped in defects attributed to slow component should be the most sensitive to thermal vibration among three components. In illumination to blue light, the fast component showed a rapid linear decay and completely disappeared after light exposure time of about 5 s. The medium component decayed with two exponential elements but the slow component did not observed any noticeable change until light exposure time of 40 s. In a dose response study, all components exhibited a linear behaviour up to approximately 10 Gy.

  • The problem of urban decay in Hong Kong has drawn much attention of both practitioners and academics. Poorly managed buildings not just give a negative image to the Pearl of the Orient in the region, but also pose potential risk hazards to the health and safety of the general public. While it is necessary to devise a comprehensive plan on redevelopment and urban planning, preserving the existing buildings to maintain their conditions for habitation can be a short-term option to safeguard quality standard. With the increasing number of ageing buildings in Hong Kong, a lot of research efforts have been devoted to managing repair and maintenance projects properly (for example those initiated and funded by the Construction Industry Institute, Hong Kong; and the current study financially supported by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University). Given the short duration and more diversified nature of work, building repair and maintenance works are found to be more difficult to monitor and regulate when compared with new works. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive analysis on the problems of running building maintenance projects. An extensive review of contemporary literature was firstly conducted, which forms a solid basis for developing an empirical study on the problems and difficulties of running building maintenance projects from the viewpoints of industrial practitioners with a view to formulating effective strategies for managing maintenance projects successfully.

배.급수관망의 잔류염소 확보를 위한 적정 재염소 주입량 산정 및 효과분석 (Computing the Dosage and Analysing the Effect of Optimal Rechlorination for Adequate Residual Chlorine in Water Distribution System)

  • 일반적으로 정수처리 공정에서 염소에 의한 소독공정은 수인성 질병을 억제하고 상수도관망에서 미생물의 재성장을 억제하는 목적으로 사용되고 있다. 그러나 염소소독은 수중의 유기물과 반응하여 소독부산물(Disinfection By-products; DBPs) 과 같은 발암성 물질을 생성함으로 적절한 염소 주입이 필요하고 최근에는 관말지역에서의 잔류염소 확보를 위해 상수관로 나 배수지 등에서 재염소를 실시하는 경향이 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 정수장에서 최적의 염소주입과 재염소 주입량을 산정하기 위하여 미국 EPA에서 개발한 EPANET 2.0을 사용하여 최적 염소 주입량을 산정하고 그 효과를 모의하였다. 대상지역 상수관로에 대한 수질을 모의하기 위하여 bottle test를 통해 수체감소계수($k_{bulk}$)를 도출하였으며, syster-matic analysis method를 이용하여 관벽감소계수($k_{wall}$)를 도출하였다. 배ㆍ급수계통에서의 수질을 정확히 예측하고자 유량과 체류시간 등을 고려한 수리해석 모델을 기초로 하여 상수도관망에서의 잔류염소 농도를 예측하고 염소주입 농도에 따른 소독부산물(DBPs)인 트리할로메탄(Trihalomethanes; THMs)의 생성변화를 실험을 통해 확인하였다. 수체감소계수($k_{bulk}$)를 도출한 결과 온도가 높을수록 초기에 빠른 감소를 보였으며, $25^{\circ}C$의 경우 25시간이 지난 이후에는 절반이상이 감소하였다. 대상지역에 재염소 주입시설을 도입할 경우 최적 재염소 주입량을 산정하였으며, 관망도상에서 경제적으로 유리한 지점을 선정할 수 있었다.

부유식 풍력 하부구조물의 운동 저감을 위한 부가물 형상 연구 (Study on the Shape of Appendage for the Reduction of Motion of Floating Wind Turbine Platforms)

  • 일반적으로 부유식 해상풍력발전 에너지의 수급성과 효율을 극대화하기 위해서는 하부구조물의 파랑 감쇠로 인한 운동을 저감시키는 것이 중요하다. 선행 연구들에 따르면 파도 중 하부구조물에 설치된 감쇠판에 의해서 발생한 와류점성으로 인해 운동 응답이 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 5MW급 반잠수식 OC5 플랫폼과 감쇠판이 부착된 두가지 플랫폼을 설계하고, 와류점성으로 인한 운동저감효과를 확인하기 위해 자유감쇠실험과 수치계산을 수행하였다. 모형시험 결과로 낙하 높이를 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm에서의 상하 자유감쇠실험을 수행하였을 때 OC5 플랫폼 대비 두 가지의 형태의 감쇠판이 부착된 플랫폼이 상대적으로 운동감쇠성능이 향상되었다. 모형시험과 수치계산 결과에서 형상화한 감쇠판 모델(KSNU Plate 1, KSNU Plate 2)들이 각각 OC5 대비 상하운동 진폭이 1.1배, 1.3배 각각 감소했으며, KSNU Plate 2 플랫폼은 KSNU Plate 1 플랫폼보다 OC5 대비 약 2배 감쇠성능이 좋아진 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 감쇠판의 면적과 와류점성이 상하동요의 감쇠율과 밀접한 관련을 보여준다.

유아교육 관련 학과 학생의 구강보건교육 필요도에 관한 연구 (Necessity of oral health education for students major in early childhood education)

  • This research is intended to develop oral health education program that can improve quality of oral health of infants by investigating the actual condition of oral health education provided to students major in early childhood education and contents and method of oral health education that they needed. A questionnaire survey was conducted for 427 students enrolled in related departments such as the Early Childhood Education Division and the Early Childhood Education Department at five universities in Gyeongsangnam-do. Questionnaires consisted of general characteristics, awareness of oral health, presence of experience in oral health education, necessity of oral health education, preference for oral health education method, oral health education contents. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) Ver 20.0. 1. Presence of experience in oral health education based on the general characteristics showed statistically significant differences only concerning the 'school system' and the 'school year' (p<0.05), and subjective awareness of oral health based on the presence of oral health education experiences showed statistically significant differences concerning the 'interest in oral health' and the 'importance of oral health' (p<0.05). 2. Necessity of oral health education based on the subjective awareness of oral health showed statistically significant differences concerning the 'interest in oral health' and the 'importance of oral health' (p<0.05). 3. Necessity of oral health education based on the preference for oral health education method showed statistically significant differences concerning the 'intention to participate in oral health education' and the 'oral health education cycle' (p<0.05). 4. The most necessary information for oral health education is proper toothbrushing method 4.24, cause of tooth decay and prevention method 4.13, helpful food and poor food for tooth 3.97, toothbrush selection and storage method 3.85. Fluoride application and fissure sealant were lowest 3.38. As a result of this research, necessity of oral health education was large regardless of general characteristics, experience in oral health education, subjective awareness of oral health, and preference for oral health education. Also the more the 'interest in oral health' in 'subjective awareness of oral health', the more the 'necessity of oral health education' and 'intention to participate in oral health education'. Therefore it is necessary to develop systematic and repetitive oral health education for students major in early childhood education.

꽃송이버섯에 의한 침엽수 심재부후 발생환경 및 낙엽송 피해목의 재질 특성 (Environmental Condition for the Butt-Rot of Conifers by Cauliflower Mushroom (Sparassis crispa) and Wood Quality of Larix kaempferi Damaged by the Fungus)

  • 꽃송이버섯은 침엽수를 이용하여 재배할 수 있는 식 약용버섯으로 최근 새롭게 인식되고 있다. 그런데, 이 버섯은 낙엽송 심재부후병균으로 악명 높은 갈색부후균이므로 임지 재배를 시도하기 위해서는 신중한 검토가 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 배경 아래 꽃송이버섯의 침엽수림 내 발생환경을 조사하고, 낙엽송의 심재부후에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 침엽수림 내에서 꽃송이버섯 재배를 시도해도 문제가 없는지 검토하고자 수행되었다. 꽃송이버섯은 습도가 충분하고 비옥한 토양에서 자라는 낙엽송, 잣나무, 소나무, 전나무 등 다양한 침엽수림에서 발생하였다. 꽃송이버섯이 발생한 토양은 사양토에서 미사질양토의 범위로써 우리나라의 일반적인 산림토양에 비하여 고운 토성을 지니고 있었으며, pH는 4.6~5.2, 유기물 함량은 4~11%를 나타내 넓은 생육범위를 나타내었다. 꽃송이버섯 균이 침입한 목재는 육안으로 쉽게 파악이 되지 않는 부위에도 이미 균사가 퍼져 있음을 DNA 검정을 통하여 확인하였다. 피해부위는 건전부위에 비하여 함수율은 30% 정도 높은 반면, 압축강도는 30% 정도 낮았다. 꽃송이버섯 균은 뿌리만이 아니라 가지치기 등을 통해 생기는 가지부위의 상처를 통해서도 침입할 수 있으며, 이 경우 포자의 비산이 큰 역할을 하는 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서 꽃송이버섯 균이 나무뿌리 및 줄기부위의 상처를 통하여 쉽게 침입할 수 있음을 감안할 때, 우량목 생산을 위해서는 숲가꾸기의 시기에 유의하여야 하며, 이 버섯의 임내 재배는 신중하게 시도되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. 다만, 위생간벌 등 무육작업을 통해 통기성이 좋은 여건을 유지한다면 성숙림으로 육성하여 우량목재를 생산하는데 큰 문제가 없을 것으로 추론되었다.

유아 어머니의 구강보건지식과 자녀의 구강관리행태 (A Study on mothers' oral health knowledge and oral health management behavior of children)

  • Objectives : The study examined mothers' oral health knowledge and oral health management behavior to their children that affect directly children's oral health to prepare basic aiming at children. Methods : Therefore, a survey of 235 mothers in 10 kindergartens located in Seoul was conducted by self-administered questionnaires. Results : As to mothers' oral health knowledge, the correct-answer rate for questions about tooth-decay was highest, and the level of 'middle (5-7 points)' was the most common with 50.0%. Regarding oral health knowledge according to mothers' general characteristics, the higher academic background and family's monthly earnings were, the higher oral health knowledge was. It showed a statistically significant difference(p<.01). In terms of mothers' oral health management behavior to their children, 79.1% of mothers who had the visiting experience in the dentist's for caries prevention was highest. As to the number of brushing, the twice was highest with 51.2%, and regarding brushing time 2min was highest52.6%. Also, the rate of using the fluoride toothpaste was 68.4%, and the rate of mothers who helped their children's brushing was 83.3%. As to the oral health management behavior to their children by mothers' oral health knowledge, mothers with higher oral health knowledge used the fluoride toothpaste showing that there was a significant difference(p<.01). Also, mothers with higher oral health knowledge helped more children's brushing, so that there was a significant difference(p<.05). Regarding the oral health management behavior to their children according to mothers' visiting experience in the dentist's, mothers who visited the dentist's during the recent one year had higher visiting experience of dentist's for children's caries prevention(p<.01) and longer time of brushing by 3min(p<.05), and helped their children's brushing a lot. The findings showed a significant difference(p<.001). Conclusions : As the results above, as mothers' oral health knowledge and oral health management behaviors to their children affect closely children's oral health, more systematic, specific and active oral health programs should be provided to mothers.

자연하천에서 비보존성 오염물질의 이동 및 변환 모의: 저장-변환 모형 (Simulation of Transport and Transformation of Nonconservative Pollutants in Natural Streams: Storage-Transformation Model)

  • 유량이 매우 작은 갈수기(渴水期)에 자연하천으로 방류된 비보존성 오염물질의 이동 및 화학적, 생화학적 변환과정의 복잡성을 구명하기 위해서 이송, 확산, 변환 그리고 하천수로에 존재하는 저장대(貯藏帶)에서 오염물질의 저장 및 교환과정을 규정하는 한 쌍의 방정식으로 이루어진 수학적 모형을 개발하고 이의 해를 수치해석적인 방법에 의해 구하였다. "저장-변환 모형"이라 명명된 본 수화적 모형은 갈수기(渴水期) 하천에서의 비보존성 오염물질의 혼합 및 변환 메카니즘의 비정규분포적인 특성을 보다 정확하게 예측할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 모형의 모의결과, 농도-시간곡선의 전체적인 형태, 첨두농도, 그리고 첨두농도에 도달하는 시간 등에 있어서 저장-변환 모형이 종래의 1차원 확산모형보다 실측자료에 더욱 정확하게 일치한다는 사실이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구에서 개발된 저장-변환 모형은 웅덩이-급여울 연속구조로 이루어진 하천에서의 오염물질의 이동 및 변환거동을 예측하는 모형으로서 1차원 확산모형에 비해 월등히 개선된 모형으로 밝혀졌다.

세척인삼 유통 현황과 포장전 2-phenylethyl Alcohol 훈증이 저장성에 미치는 영향 (Marketing of cleaned fresh ginseng and pre-packaging fumigation of 2-phenylethyl alcohol on ginseng storability)

  • The potential factors for quality loss of cleaned fresh ginseng and technology to be associated with the improvement of marketability through pre-packaging fumigation were examined. Major microorganisms isolated from fresh ginseng included Botrytis cinerea, and Erwinia sp. Others such as Cylindrocarpon sp., Fusarium spp., Pennicilium spp., Bacillus spp. were also found at relatively low frequency. The bacterial density of vacuum packaged fresh ginseng rapidly increased during simulated marketing. Little correlation between bacterial growth and package swelling was found. In order to improve packaging method of fresh ginseng, pre-packaging treatment of 2-phenylethyl alcohol (PE, 100 uL/L, 4 hr) was examined. The fumigation treatment effectively inhibited the growth of bacteria density and also effective on keeping firmness of ginseng root, especially in cortical portion. The internal gas compositions of plastic container packaged for ginseng were approximately ranged between 6 to 8% $O_2$and 3 to 4% $CO_2$. The $O_2$ level of fumigation treatment was lower than control whereas $CO_2$ level was higher. The upsurge of ethylene evolution I day after simulated marketing was found only in fumigation treatment but it returned to ordinary level at day 2. The sucrose content of 2-PE treatment was significantly reduced at 5 days after simulated marketing but reducing sugars like glucose and fructose remained at higher level. The difference in sugar levels was reduced after 10 days of simulated marketing. The decay of fresh ginseng began at the lateral or fine root, which is weak to physical damage, in general. The epidermis was more damaged. Plastic container packaging with PE fumigation could be an alternative to vacuum packaging, which allows an aerobic environment and prevents anaerobic respiration. Further study of pre-package fumigation is required to improve technology of fresh ginseng marketing.
