  • Recently, medical advances have been increasing the size of the aged population. With rapidly developing technology, computers are now essential parts in our daily life, and the number of the aged people using computers is also increasing continuously. But user interfaces and contents for the aged people have not yet been developed actively. In this paper, we present a 3D sensory gate-ball game which can be played by the aged people easily. This study is based on 3D graphics and uses a realistic gate-ball stick and balls as interfaces, so it can improve both physical and metal health of the aged people. Because our game is a sensory game, it is easy to play in house without an outdoor playground. In addition, the game provides many interesting situation so that it can raise the participation and interest of the aged people.

  • Recently, portion of the aged population has been increased, and aging became the biggest issue that we will be facing in the future. As the aging population has increased, the silver generation is getting to account for the considerable percent of economic activities and becomes the main body of production and consumption. Although the economic activity of silver generation is increased, the development of silver contents for the leisure activities is still not revitalized. The serious silver contents and the easy-to-use interface are very important because the silver generation is relatively weaker than young people in perception, studying, and exercise, and is fragile in mobility and vitality. This paper suggests the Sensory 3D Gate-Ball game for silver generation's leisure and health maintaining along with the easy-to-use interface.

The serious silver contents and the easy-to-use interface are very important because the silver generation is relatively weaker than young people in perception, studying, and exercise, and is fragile in mobility and vitality. This paper suggests methods to develop sensory bicycle, gate ball, and mole game contents haying lower body exercise effects for the silver generation to utilize leisure and maintain health. Along with fun as games, functional design factors suitable to the cognitive ability and bodily activity ability of the silver generation were considered and through sensory intefaces that are easy for the silver generation to use and customized progressing methods complying with individual characteristics, it was attempted to induce continued interests and lower body exercise effects.

  • This paper presents a cell-based motion control strategy for soccer playing mobile robots. In the central robot motion planner, the planar ground is divided into rectangular cells with variable sizes and motion indices to which direction the mobile robot should move. At every time the multiple objects-the goal gate, ball, and robots-detected, integer values of motion indices are assigned to the cells occupied by mobile robots. Once the indices being calculated, the most desirable state-action pair is chosen from the state and action sets to achieve successful soccer game strategy. The proposed strategy is computationally simple enough to be used for fast robotic soccer system.
