  • This paper addresses the problem of stability analysis and control synthesis of a digital fuzzy control systems. The authors shows that the stability properties (in the Lyapunov sense) of a digital fuzzy control system can be deduced from the stability properties of the its approximate discretization in the sufficiently small sampling time.

  • Biped locomotion is a popular research area in robotics due to the high adaptability of a walking robot in an unstructured environment. When attempting to automate the motion planning process for a biped walking robot, one of the main issues is assurance of dynamic stability of motion. This can be categorized into three general groups: body stability, body path stability, and gait stability. A zero moment point (ZMP), a point where the total forces and moments acting on the robot are zero, is usually employed as a basic component for dynamically stable motion. In this rarer, learning based neuro-fuzzy systems have been developed and applied to model ZMP trajectory of a biped walking robot. As a result, we can provide more improved insight into physical walking mechanisms.

  • A stability analysis technique has been proposed for linear SISO system associated with fuzzy logic controller. An analysis technique using the concept of well-known sector bound nonlinearity and its graphical interpretation, i.e., the circle criterion, is presented. Thus the use of classical Nyquist locus and the BODE diagram is brought into the picture. The aim of this present note is to represent a graphical approach based on sector bound nonlinearity and circle criterion for assessing the performance(degree of stability) of the linear SISO system associated with fuzzy logic controller. The degree of stability of the system is defined in terms of its gain and phase margins as defined in Section 3.

  • This paper addresses the control problem of a laboratory-level 2 degree-of-freedom helicopter. The exact fuzzy model in a Takagi - Sugeno form is constructed by the sector nonlinearity technique, and is then represented as a set of uncertain linear systems. Output-tracking controller is designed in terms of linear matrix inequalities and the closed-loop stability is rigorously analyzed. Experimental evaluation shows that the proposed method is of benefit to many real industrial plants.

  • In this paper, we propose real time transient stability assessment and energy margin estimation using fuzzy approximate reasoning. The proposed method used rotor angle, kinetic energy and acceleration power of generators at clearing time as fuzzy input. In order to calculate energy margin in transient energy function (TEF), we obtained controlling unstable equilibrium point (UEP) using mode of disturbance procedure (MOD). The proposed algorithm is tested on 4-machine, 6-bus, 7-line power system to prove of effectiveness.

  • In recent years, many studies have been conducted on fuzzy control since it can surpass the conventional control in several respects. In this paper, a novel approach to the stability analysis of the continuous-time affine Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy control system is proposed. The suggested analysis method is easily implemented by the recently spotlighted convex optimization techniques called Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI).

  • In the current work, the intuitionistic fuzzy version of Hyers-Ulam stability for a nonic functional equation by applying a fixed point method is investigated. This way shows that some fixed points of a suitable operator can be a nonic mapping.
