In this parer, we propose a new way of improving DGNSS service using combination of multiple SBAS information. Because SBAS uses Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites, it has very large coverage but it can be unavailable in urban canyon because of visibility problem. R. Chen solved this problem by creating Virtual Reference Stations (VRS) using the SBAS signal [1]. VRS converts SBAS signal to RTCM signals corresponding its location, and broadcast the converted RTCM signals over the wireless internet. This method can solve the visibility problem cost effectively. Furthermore it can solve DGNSS coverage problem by creating just a transmitter instead of a reference station. Developing above method, this paper proposes the methods that integrate two or more SEAS signals into one RTCM signal and broadcast it. In Korea, MSAS signal is available even though it is not officially certified for Korean users. As a Korean own SBAS-like system, there is the internet-based KWTB (Korean WADGPS Test Bed) which we developed and released at ION GNSS 2006. As a result, virtually two different SBAS corrections are available in Korea. In this paper, we propose the integration methods for these two independent SBAS corrections and present the test results using the actual measurements from the two systems. We present the detailed algorithm for these two methods and analyze the features and performances of them. To verify the proposed methods, we conduct the experiment using the logged SBAS corrections from the two systems and the RINEX data logged at Dokdo monitoring station in Korea. The preliminary test results showed the improved performance compared to the results from two independent systems, which shows the potential of our proposed methods. In the future, the newly developed SBASs will be available and the places which can access the multiple SBAS signals will increase. At that time, the integration or combination methods of two or more SBASs will become more important. Our proposed methods can be one of the useful solutions for that. As an additional research, we need to extend this research to the system level integration such as the concept of the decentralized W ADGPS.
The lack of customer satisfaction and trust remains a key barrier to electronic commerce. From the standpoint of online merchants, it is critical to build consumer trust by lessening sources of apprehensions and uneasiness associated with online transactions. This paper explores the relationships between customer satisfaction and intermediary's trustworthiness factors in B2C e-marketplaces. It also aims at examining the effects of consumer characteristics, including propensity to trust and Internet shopping self-efficacy, upon trust and purchase intentions. To meet the research objectives, an empirical study has been conducted by surveying 223 active e-marketplace buyers in Korea. The findings of the present research indicate that customer satisfaction positively affects all the three attributes of trustworthiness (i.e., competence, benevolence, and integrity), and more specifically it has a quite strong association with benevolence. In addition, propensity to trust has no significant influence on trust or purchasing intentions, and only affects benevolence and integrity with no direct effect on competence. Finally, Internet shopping self-efficacy was found to affect both trust and purchasing intentions, suggesting that e-marketplaces seek an online strategy designed to strengthen loyalty for customers with high self-efficacy, while they use a strategy to improve the usability and usefulness of their website to attract customers with low self-efficacy. The paper concludes with implications and directions for future research.

Nowadays, the World Wide Web (WWW) has become an important resource of timely information for the information-related people such as information scientists, librarians, and students in Library and Information Sciences area. They are information professionals who navigate the information on the internet. Also, they need to be information providers who build a WWW homepage. This paper is a study of the necessity, preparation, and building WWW Homepage files for school of Library and Information Sciences in the age of competition among disciplines. It is particularly focused on the colleges and universities in Republic of Korea (ROK) and North America area. The purpose of this study is to provide various kinds of reference information to prepare a homepage in the future as utilizing information on the internet effectively. Even though a Web page was necessary for a school of Library and Information Sciences to show news, and introduce the purpose of the disciplines and the curriculum of the school, and the professors of a class etc., it was not well-prepared yet in ROK. However, a web page was used well enough and prosperous in North America area (Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico) comparatively. Those web pages were analyzed and studied to prepare for a good designing of homepages for school of Library and Information Sciences in Korea and for the age of competition among disciplines in this paper. Suggestions for designing a good homepage and guidelines for preparing a best one were studied after both reviewing literature and utilizing experiences by the author who currently serves in the School of Library and Information Sciences in Keimyung University and builds homepage for the school. As a result, the major suggestions are ; premiered, and they are as follows: (1) English version of a homepage is necessary, (2) Provide a multimedia presentation about the nature of a school (3) Incorporate a place to let people make suggestions on the contents (of a homepage), (4) Bear in mind that potential users must be familiar with abbreviations you used, (5) Absolutely do not use abbreviations that may make the content more difficult to understand, (6) Add a feature on the every single page that will take the user back to the main page, (7) Use clear, short and well-structured sentences and remember to divide text into paragraphs, (8) Date with a creation or modification date in the homepage to indicate the updated date, (9) Being a multimedia environment, use colors effectively (the guidelines were also suggested), and (10) Put colleges' name into the title of bookmarks to find out them easily.

The study was an exploratory research on the awareness of informatization and attitudes to information technology (IT) and its use among elderly women in a metropolitan area. The questionnaire survey was conducted to collect data on IT use or non-use of elderly women aged 60 or older in senior welfare centers in Seoul, Korea. The data on 343 cases were analysed using SPSS 21.0. As a result, the rate of internet use was relatively high and different according to socio-demographic factors, such as age. The elderly women's attitudes like the levels of awareness and expectation of informatization were positive. Elderly women learned to use IT for psychological, emotional reasons as well as for practical ones, and the satisfaction level of IT use was relatively high. Finally, most IT non-users were indifferent and ignorant about IT use. In addition, the dissatisfaction level of IT non-use was normal, but elderly women had a relatively positive expectation of IT use in the future. This study may contribute to understanding the diverse pictures of IT use and the digital divide in old age, and assist in the development of practical programs and policies for the informatization and welfare for older adults.
Purpose - Social commerce is a certain way of how people buy some products together with others through the internet sites with mutual interactions among customers with the benefits of SNS when buying some products. At present, China market has some problems due to its rapid growing. However, empirical research or academic approach to social commerce has not been made enough. So, it is important for Chinese social market to develop and enlarge the customers with stability under the reliability and satisfaction. Also it is important for them to have repurchase intention. Nowadays, it is necessary to find the factors on customer satisfaction and trust, whereas consumers' dissatisfaction and unreliability are increasing on social commerce recently. In addition, researches on social commerce have been actively pursued by a variety of domestic and foreign scholars. However, researches on social commerce and Chinese market are short of, and they have some limitations because of the rapid growth of the market even though it is the early stage. The current situation requires researches on consumers' repurchase intention for continuing growth in the future according to the growth of Chinese social commerce. Research design, data, and methodology - The literature and the empirical studies are combined in order to achieve the purpose of the study. Deriving social commerce features and consumer properties as factors affecting the repurchase intention through the literature, and these factors have modeled a series of assumptions about the impact on satisfaction and trust, and have established hypotheses to verify them. The survey which is conducted to test the hypothesis and questionnaires are derived based on the variables discussed in the previous study. Appropriate measures were developed and tested on 227 respondents in China with a cross-sectional questionnaire survey. The path relationships of the research model were analyzed by SPSS 23.0 and Amos 23.0. Results - Research results about social commerce characteristics and factors affecting the repurchase intention are presented to Chinese market companies that adopt business models and consumer characteristics. In addition, this study focuses on the characteristics of social commerce, from two-dimensional characteristics of the consumer satisfaction, trust and the impact on the repurchase. Therefore, social commerce features and consumer properties based on the results of this study may lead the strategic implications that may increase the repurchase intention. Conclusions - The classification reviewing the previous findings related to social commerce and social commerce features affects social commerce repurchase (price discount, interactivity) and consumer characteristics (impulsivity, innovation, collectivism). It affects repurchase on factors and analyzes empirically. The empirical results identify major characteristics (social commerce characteristics, attributes) that affect the repurchase intention, and give the practical implications as well as the business strategies that are able to enhance social commerce repurchase consumers. Purpose - This study aims to identify the effects of communication cues, anonymity, and social presence on group polarization in computer-mediated communication (CMC) settings. Extant literature has introduced some theoretical backgrounds of social presence and SIDE (Social Identity model of Deindividuation Effects) to explain the effects of communication cues and anonymity. The concept of social presence emphasized the mediating role on communication cues and anonymity. However, most literature did not measure social presence and compare group polarization of all condition groups. This does not sufficiently explain the result of group polarization. Research design, data, and methodology - We believe that the direct impact of anonymity on group polarization can provide a more admissible and clearer explanation for the results. In addition, this study categorizes anonymity into two levels, as anonymity of group and anonymity of self. To justify the anonymity view, a laboratory experiment was conducted. The experiment was conducted in communication cues settings (visual cue; without visual cue) and anonymity settings (identified; anonymous). Each of the four settings has 10 groups consisting of five subjects each (total 200 subjects). The subjects are undergraduates from a large university, majoring in business. All experimental procedures and calculations of choice shift and preference change follow the literature. Results - First, the removal of visual cues does not produce a significant impact on group polarization, which cannot be explained by the social presence view. Second, the anonymous condition does not significantly affect group polarization, which also cannot be explained by the social presence view. However, the anonymous condition directly affects group polarization. Specifically, anonymity of self has a stronger effect on group polarization than anonymity of group. The result explains about the leading factor affecting group polarization. This study examines another view of how computer-mediated communication may be associated with group polarization. The process and outcome data from the experiment reveal that group polarization is not affected by level of social presence, but by level of anonymity. Group discussions conducted with visual cue CMC setting and identified CMC setting result in weaker group polarization. Conversely, group discussions conducted without visual cue CMC setting and anonymous CMC setting lead to stronger group polarization. The results of the study have the following implications. First, they provide clues for business organizations to design the most appropriate media conditions and preemptive social conditions to implement when making group decisions through CMC, to maximize achievements, generate amicable agreements, or actively share information. Second, this study can be useful in analyzing different adverse effects generated through Internet use. Conclusions - This research can help explain discussions and decision-making actions on Internet forums, which have recently increased, as well as providing a foundational basis in newly establishing policies for the forums. Finally, it should be noted that many other factors such as group size, topics, and group history may affect group polarization. These should be examined in future studies.
The development of the Internet in the 21st century had made a variety of cross-cultural environment so that animations also have evolved with new features to Web-Animation. In Korea, the web-based flash animation leap forward to the animation Utopia in the early 2000's, but did not last long. The web-based animations should attract audience's attention not only with it's minimum streaming capacity but also with showing it's best qualities as well, Therefore, the stimulating narrative strategies were mandatories for web-animation in 2000's. The absence of in-depth research on media, poor revenue structure, and the emergence of mobile games and e-learning industries made the web-animation become just a one-time/one-consumable content. There were no subsequent generation of korean web-animation ever since. In this study, I want to introduce and analyze the american web animation series, (2005) as a new type of web-animation in current digital culture, In particular, I want to discuss how this web animation appeal to the audience with its narrative strategies through using some aspect of the internet culture which's differentiated from traditional media based cultures. This research could suggest diverse narrative strategies for the future web-animation with new vision. Moreover, This also allows to look at latest web-animation trends and its new experiments.
Along the advent of Internet technology, the computing environment has been considerably changed in many application domains. Especially, a lot of researches for e-Logistics have been done for the last 3 years. The e-Logistics means the virtual business activity and service architecture among the logistics companies based on the Internet technology. To construct effectively the e-Logistics framework, researches on the development of the Moving Object Technology(MOT) including GPS and GIS with spatiotemporal databases technique so far has been done The Moving Object Technology stands for the efficient management for the spatiotemporal objects such as vehicles, airplanes, and vessels which change continuously their spatial location along with time flows. However, most systems manage just only the location information detected lately by many reasons so that the uncertainty processing for the past and future location of the moving objects is still very hard. In this paper, we propose the moving object uncertainty model and system design for e-Logistics applications. The MOMS architecture in e-Logistics is suggested and the detailed explain of sub-systems including the uncertainty processor of moving objects is described. We also explain the comprehensive examples of MOMS and uncertainty processing in Delivery Parcel Application that is one of major application of e-Logistics domain.
In the IoT environment, various things could be connected. Those connected things learn and operate themselves, by acquiring data. As human being, they have self-learning and self-operating systems. In the field of IoT study, therefore, the key issue is to design communication system connecting both of the two different types of subjects, human being(user) and the things. With the advent of the IoT environment, much research has been done in the field of UI design. It can be seen that research has been conducted to take complex factors into account through keywords such as multi-modality and interusability. However, the existing UI design method has limitations in structuring or testing interaction between things and users of IoT environment. Therefore, this paper suggests a new UI prototyping method. In this paper, the major analysis and studies are as follows: (1) defined what is the behavior process of the things (2) analyzed the existing IoT product (3) built a new framework driving personality types (4) extracted three representative personality models (5) applied the three models to the smart home service and tested UI prototyping. It is meaningful with that this study can confirm user experience (UX) about IoT service in a more comprehensive way. Moreover, the concept of the personality of things will be utilized as a tool for establishing the identity of artificial intelligence (AI) services in the future.

Recently, various motion beds have been actively developed and popularized. The motion bed has the functions of height adjustment, back plate rising, knee lifting, tilt function and left / right rotation, and the remote control can conveniently be used by the patient himself or the caregiver to move the patient. However, since the medical bed for use does not have a function of preventing pressure ulcers, exchanging sheets, and transferring patients, it is necessary to disperse body pressure by using a pressure ulcer prevention matrix to prevent pressure ulcers. However, it is accompanied by muscle strength and hard work, and nurses are avoiding difficult nursing care. In this study, we developed the first prototype in the world and confirmed that the system works normally with the goal of developing multifunctional beds that automatically perform the prevention of bed sores, the exchange of sheets and the transfer of patients in order to facilitate such nursing work. It is anticipated that the proposed multifunctional motorized bed in the future will be a model of a medical robot for smart healthcare.
