A Study on the Generation of Simulation Codes for Process Design under CIM Environments (CIM 환경에서 프로세스 설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 코드의 자동 생성에 관한 연구)

  • This study deals with an autonomous generation of simulation codes for the design of processes of c CIM system based on the concept of model transformation. We assume we have a functional model of an organization which is developed using the well-known IDEF0 methodology. Then, a modeling methodology, called PROWD(PRocess flOW Description), is suggested to develop the flow processes of the organization. To Derive simulation specifications for the transformed PROWD model, we define a module of a "unit system" for each activity of PROWD model. Then specifications for system entities and resources are derived from input/control/mechanism/output and entity flows of PROWD model. Entitiy queues are defined from the sates and events of unit systems. Finally, SIMAN model frame is generated from those specifications through a suggested algorithm. The implementability and validity of the proposed approach is tested by developing a prototype of a computer-assisted design system on the operation processes of FMS installed at SNU-ASRI (Seoul National University-Automation and Systems Research Institute).nstitute).

  • Convolutional coding with Viterbi decoding is known as a powerful method for forward error correction among many kinds of channel coding methods. This paper presents a soft decision Viterbi decoder which has systolic array trace-back architecture[1]. Soft decision is known as more effective method than hard decision and most of digital communication systems use soft decision. The advantage of using a systolic array decoder is that the trace-back operation can be accomplished continuously in an array of registers in a pipe-line fashion, instead of waiting for the entire trace-back procedure to be completed at each iteration. Therefore it may be suitable for faster communication system. We described operations of each module of the decoder and showed results of the logic synthesis and functional simulation.

  • Value-based requirements engineering process, called The ViRE(Value-Innovative Requirement Engineering) was suggested to create an uncontested market using ERRC(Eliminate, Reduce, Raise, Create) requirements analysis. But ViRE did not provides a quantitative data analysis method for ERRC decision so as to make objective decisions for customers. In this paper, to solve this problem, we suggest a quantitative ERRC analysis method by estimating requirements cost. Our method defines user requirements and decides their weight. Then, it makes quality level table for all the identified requirements and function modules and estimate implementation cost based on their quality levels. Finally, assess each requirement's impact and then evaluate ERRC value. We could get the more objective ERRC values by evaluate the requirement weight. functional module weight, and implementation cost. And we proved the efficiency of our model by a case study, smart student ID system.

  • Korean linguistic information for the generation modulo of KANT(Knowledge-based Accurate Natural language Translation) system was constructed. As KANT has a language-independent generation engine, the construction of Korean linguistic information means the development of the Korean generation module. Constructed information includes concept-based mapping rules, category-based mapping rules, syntactic lexicon, template rules, grammar rules based on the unification grammar, lexical rules and rewriting rules for Korean. With these information in sentences were successfully and completely generated from the interlingua functional structures among the 118 test set prepared by the developers of KANT system.

DMAC implementation On $Excalibur^{TM}$ ($Excalibur^{TM}$ 상에서의 DMAC 구현)

  • In this paper, we describe implemented DMAC (Direct Memory Access Controller) architecture on Altera's $Excalibur^{TM}$ that includes industry-standard $ARM922T^{TM}$ 32-bit RISC processor core operating at 200 MHz. We implemented DMAC based on AMBA (Advanced Micro-controller Bus Architecture) AHB (Advanced Micro-performance Bus) interface. Implemented DMAC has 8-channel and can extend supportable channel count according to user application. We used round-robin method for priority selection. Implemented DMAC supports data transfer between Memory-to-Memory, Memory-to-Peripheral and Peripheral-to-Memory. The max transfer count is 1024 per a time and it can support byte, half-word and word transfer according to AHB protocol (HSIZE signals). We implemented with VHDL and functional verification using $ModelSim^{TM}$. Then, we synthesized using $LeonardoSpectrum^{TM}$ with Altera $Excalibur^{TM}$ library. We did FPGA P&R and targeting using $Quartus^{TM}$. We can use implemented DMAC module at any system that needs high speed and broad bandwidth data transfers.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 생산하고 있는 흉부 촬영 장치의 위치제어 기능을 개선하는 제어모듈의 개발에 대해 논하였다. 현재 생산되고 있는 흉부 촬영 장치는 스위치를 수동으로 조작하여 촬영에 적당한 위치에 도달하였을 때 멈춘 후 촬영을 하고 있다. 그러나 이 방식은 원하는 위치에 정확히 위치시키기 위해서는 원하는 위치가 될 때까지 스위치 조작을 반복하여야 한다. 따라서 단 한 번의 스위치 버튼을 누르기만 하면 정확한 위치에 도달하도록 스위치 모듈과 제어장치 모듈의 기능을 개선시켜 위치 설정을 위한 조작 시간을 줄이고 사용의 편의성을 향상시켜 업무의 효율성을 기할 수 있도록 하였다.

BOUNDS OF HANKEL DETERMINANTS FOR ANALYTIC FUNCTION

  • In this paper, we give estimates of the Hankel determinant H2(1) in a novel class 𝓝 (𝜀) of analytical functions in the unit disc. In addition, the relation between the Fekete-Szegö function H2(1) and the module of the angular derivative of the analytical function p(z) at a boundary point b of the unit disk will be given. In this association, the coefficients in the Hankel determinant b2, b3 and b4 will be taken into consideration. Moreover, in a class of analytic functions on the unit disc, assuming the existence of angular limit on the boundary point, the estimations below of the modulus of angular derivative have been obtained.

  • The demand for online education has rapidly increased due to the influence of COVID-19. One of the biggest challenges in engineering education is how to efficiently conduct experiments online. In this paper, for the virtual experimental system for microcontroller application that is essential for education in the field of electrical, electronic, and control engineering, we described the microcontroller functional modeling and implementation with Java language. The usefulness of the developed microcontroller module has been verified through educational field application.

  • For successful implementation of robotic painting system, a structured design and analysis procedure is necessary. In designing robotic system, both functional and economical feasibility should be investigated. As the robotization is complicated task involving implemen- tation details (such as robot selection, accessory design, and spatial layout) together with operation details, the computer aided design and analysis method should be sought. However, conventional robotic design systems and off-line programming systems cannot accommodate these inquiries in a unified fashion. In this research, we develop an interactive design support system for robotization of a cycle painting line. With the developed system called SPRPL (Simulation Package for Robotic Painting Line) users can design the painting objects (via FRAME module), select robot model (ROBOT), design the part hanger (FEEDER), and arrange the workcell. After motion programming (MOTION), the design is evaluated in terms of: a) workpace analysis, b) coating thickness analysis, and c) cycle time (ANALYSIS).

Development of an Embedded Solar Tracker using LabVIEW (LabVIEW 적용 임베디드 태양추적장치 개발)

  • This paper introduces step by step procedures for the fabrication and operation of an embedded solar tracker. The system presented consists of application software, compactRIO, C-series interface module, analogue input module, step drive, step motor, feedback devices and other accessories to support its functional stability. CompactRIO that has a real-tim processor allows the solar tracker to be a stand-alone real time system which operates automatically without any external control. An astronomical method and an optical method were used for a high-precision solar tracker. CdS sensors are used to constantly generate feedback signals to the controller, which allow a solar tracker to track the sun even under adverse conditions. The database of solar position and sunrise and sunset time was compared with those of those of the Astronomical Applications Department of the U.S. Naval Observatory. The results presented here clearly demonstrate the high-accuracy of the present system in solar tracking, which are applicable to many existing solar systems.
