  • Adaptive algorithms based on gradient adaptation have been extensively investigated and successfully jointed with active noise/vibration control applications. The Filtered-X LMS algorithm became one of the basic feedforward algorithms in such applications, but still is not fully understood. The error path model effect on the Filtered-X LMS algorithm has been under the investigation and some useful properties related stability has been discovered. We are interested in utilizing the fact that the model error caused by the way optimizing the error path model in a view point of convergence speed of Filtered-X LMS algorithm for pure tone noise suppression application without any performance loss at steady state.

  • IP Switching is a new routing technology proposed to improve the performance of IP routers. Flow classification is one of the key issues in IP Switching. To achieve better performance, flow classification should be matched to the varying IP traffic and an IP switch should make use of its hardware switching resources as fully as possible. This paper proposes an adaptive flow classification algorithm for IP Switching. By dynamically adjusting the values of its control parameters in response to the present usage of the hardware switching resources, this adaptive algorithm can efficiently match the varying IP traffic and thus improve the performance of an IP switch.

  • Adaptive algorithms based on gradient adaptation have been extensively investigated and successfully joined with active noise/vibration control applications. The Filtered-X LMS algorithm became one of the basic feedforward algorithms in such applications, but is not fully understood yet. Effects of cancellation path model on the Filtered-X LMS algorithm have investigated and some useful properties related to stability were discovered. Most of the results stated that the error in the cancellation path model is undesirable to the Filtered X LMS. However, we started convergence analysis of Filtered-X LMS based on the assumption that erroneous model does not always degrade its performance. In this paper, we present a way of optimizing the cancellation path modern in order to enhance the convergence speed by introducing intentional phase error. Carefully designed intentional phase error enhances the convergence speed of the Filtered X LMS algorithm for pure tone noise suppression application without any performance loss at steady state.

  • In this paper, this may appear to exacerbate it met slopes of the mobile robot moves to overcome this by driving can occur if the mobile robot system has its own sleep problems driving progress in until you hit the target and solvedriving straight driving safer model for adaptive fuzzy control method of mobile robot based control algorithm is proposed. First, we propose a model based adaptive fuzzy controller, if possible, the dynamics model of the mobile robot, including model-based controller is designed to determine if you can check the condition of the mobile robot climbing and driving the mobile robot to overcome the slope and the to overcome driving control. Enough considering the ground friction forces and ensure the stability of the mobile robot system and the disturbance compensation, etc. In this case, the controller design will be possible. In addition, the nonlinear model, the dynamic characteristics of the mobile robot control method of adaptive fuzzy control techniques in the design that you want to fully reflect Non-holonomic system of mobile robots and solve sleep problems, and will be useful enough, it was verified through computer simulations.

  • When multiple clients share bandwidth and receive a streaming service, HTTP Adaptive Streaming has a problem in that the bandwidth is measured inaccurately due to the ON-OFF pattern of the segment request. To solve the problem caused by the ON-OFF pattern, the proposed PANDA (Probe AND Adapt) determines the quality of the segment to be requested while increasing the target bandwidth. However, since the target bandwidth is increased by a fixed amount, there is a problem in low bandwidth utilization and a slow response to changes in bandwidth. In this paper, we propose a video quality control scheme that improves the low bandwidth utilization and slow responsiveness of PANDA. The proposed scheme adjusts the amount of increase in the target bandwidth according to the bandwidth utilization after judging the bandwidth utilization by comparing the segment download time and the request interval. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme can fully utilize the bandwidth and can quickly respond to changes in bandwidth.

  • The university course scheduling problem (UCSP) aims at optimally arranging courses to corresponding rooms, faculties, students, and timeslots with constraints. Previously, the university staff solved this thorny problem by hand, which is very time-consuming and makes it easy to fall into chaos. Even some meta-heuristic algorithms are proposed to solve UCSP automatically, while most only utilize one single algorithm, so the scheduling results still need improvement. Besides, they lack an in-depth analysis of the inner algorithms. Therefore, this paper presents a novel and practical approach based on Tabu search and simulated annealing algorithms for solving USCP. Firstly, the initial solution of the UCSP instance is generated by one construction heuristic algorithm, the first fit algorithm. Secondly, we defined one union move selector to control the moves and provide diverse solutions from initial solutions, consisting of two changing move selectors. Thirdly, Tabu search and simulated annealing (SA) are combined to filter out unacceptable moves in a parallel mode. Then, the acceptable moves are selected by one adaptive decision algorithm, which is used as the next step to construct the final solving path. Benefits from the excellent design of the union move selector, parallel tabu search and SA, and adaptive decision algorithm, the proposed method could effectively solve UCSP since it fully uses Tabu and SA. We designed and tested the proposed algorithm in one real-world (PKNU-UCSP) and ten random UCSP instances. The experimental results confirmed its effectiveness. Besides, the in-depth analysis confirmed each component's effectiveness for solving UCSP.

  • Spectrum sharing in centrally controlled cognitive radio (CR) networks has been widely studied, however, research on channel access for distributively controlled individual cognitive users has not been fully characterized. This paper conducts an analysis of random channel access of cognitive users controlled in a distributed manner in a CR network. Based on the proposed estimation method, each cognitive user can estimate the current channel condition by using its own Markov-chain model and can compute its own blocking probability, collision probability, and forced termination probability. Using the proposed scheme, CR with distributed control (CR-DC), CR devices can make self-controlled decisions based on the status estimations to adaptively control its system parameters to communicate better.

  • Active noise control(ANC) requires the full capability of a modern digital signal processing module. This paper describes the digital signal processing unit which is designed for ANC of noise fields in passenger car. System hardware is designed to allow software controlled versatility as well as fully qutomatic operation. The developed system is provided with the ability to be self-operated except the case of upload/download of data and program between the personal computer and the system memory. Experimental results are presented to demonstrate ANC performance of noise fields in lightly damped enclosure and passenger car.

  • This paper presents a high-performance control system for Reluctance Synchronous Motor (RSM) drives with direct torque control (DTC). The system consist of stator flux observer, rotor position/speed estimator, torque estimator, two hysteresis band controllers, an optimal switching look-up table, IGBT voltage source inverter, and F240/C31DSP controller by using fully integrated control software. The stator flux observer is based on the combined voltage and current model with stator flux feedback adaptive control that inputs are current and voltage sensing of motor terminal with estimated rotor angle for wide speed range. The rotor position is estimated by the observed stator flux-linkage space vector. The estimated rotor speed can be determinated by differentiation of the rotor position used only in the current model part of the flux observer for a low speed operating area. To prove the suggested control algorithm, we have a simulation and testing at actual experimental system. The developed digitally high-performance position sensorless control system are shown a good motion control response characteristic results and high performance features using 1.0Kw RSM.
