Induction cooking application with multiple loads need high power inverters and appropriate control techniques. This paper proposes an inverter configuration with buck-boost converter for multiple load induction cooking application with independent control of each load. It uses one half-bridge for each load. For a given dc supply of $V_{DC}$, one more $V_{DC}$ is derived using buck-boost converter giving $2V_{DC}$ as the input to each half-bridge inverter. Series resonant loads are connected between the centre point of $2V_{DC}$ and each half-bridge. The output voltage across each load is like that of a full-bridge inverter. In the proposed configuration, half of the output power is supplied to each load directly from the source and remaining half of the output power is supplied to each load through buck-boost converter. With buck-boost converter, each half-bridge inverter output power is increased to a full-bridge inverter output power level. Each half-bridge is operated with constant and same switching frequency with asymmetrical duty cycle (ADC) control technique. By ADC, output power of each load is independently controlled. This configuration also offers reduced component count. The proposed inverter configuration is simulated and experimentally verified with two loads. Simulation and experimental results are in good agreement. This configuration can be extended to multiple loads.

In this paper the new converter topology using single-Phase full bridge inverter for the switched reluctance motor drives is proposed. The proposed SRM drives are supplied by the AC pulse voltage source, while the conventional drives are supplied by the DC voltage source. Speed of the SRM is controlled by adjusting the frequency and the multitude of output current of inverter. The SRM using the proposed converter reduces the switching loss and the machine core loss, and has ability to pre-regulate the input voltage. The total number of power switches become fewer than another topology as a number of stator poles becomes more. Power circuit of an inverter is simpler and its volume is smaller because the module device involving several switches is used as an inverter.
High frequency full bridge series resonant inverters have become increasingly popular among power supply designers. One of the most important parameter for a High Frequency Full Bridge Series Resonant Inverter is optimal coil design. The optimal coil designing procedure is not a easy task. This paper deals with the New Approach to Optimal Design Procedure for a Real-time High Frequency Full Bridge Series Resonant Inverter in Induction Heating Equipment devices. A new design to experimental modelling of the physical properties and a practical power input simulation process for the non-sinusoidal input waveform is accepted. The design sensitivity analysis with Levenberg-Marquardt technique is used for the optimal design process. The proposed technique is applied to an Induction Heating Equipment devices model and the result is verified by real-time experiment. The main advantages of this design technique is to achieve more accurate temperature control with a huge amount of power saving.

In this study, the voltage control system of a single phase full bridge inverter was designed based on the SPWM driving method. The voltage control system consists of a single-phase full-bridge inverter, a PI controller for linearly compensating the error between the reference voltage and the output voltage, a PWM driving circuit for generating the gate signal using the SPWM method from the controller signal, and an LC filter for filtering the inverter output voltage waveform into sinusoidal waveform. Finally, the voltage control system of a single-phase full-bridge inverter based on the PWM driving method was modeled using EMTP-RV and by showing that the output voltage accurately converges the reference voltage through several simulation examples, the validity of the control system design was verified.

In this paper, the phase-shift full-bridge DC/DC converter with fixed-phase operation inverter is proposed. The proposed circuit consists of two full-bridge inverters which are connected in parallel. While one full-bridge inverter operates as the fixed-phase, it regulates the output voltage by adjusting the phase of the other inverter. During the normal operation period, the proposed circuit makes the less amount of conduction loss of the primary switches and secondary synchronous rectifiers, as well as the less amount of the current ripple of the output inductor, than the conventional phase-shift full-bridge DC/DC converter does. Also, it achieves high efficiency by reducing the snubber loss of the secondary synchronous rectifier. To sum up, the present inquiry analyzes the theoretical characteristics of the proposed circuit, and shows the experimental results from a prototype for 450W power supply.

Solar electric systems have very little impact on environment, making them one of the cleanest power-generating technologies available. While they are operating, PV systems produce no air pollution, hazardous waste, or noise, and they require no transportable fuels. In PV system design, the selection and proper installation of appropriately-sized components directly affect system reliability, lifetime, and initial cost. In this research, we have studied the PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signals. I proposed an efficient photovoltaic power interface circuit incorporated with a DC-DC converter and a sine-pwm control method full-bridge inverter. In grid-connected solar power systems, the DC-DC converter operates at high switching frequency to make the output current a sine wave, whereas the full-bridge inverter operates at low switching frequency which is determined by the ac frequency. Thus, it can reduce the switching losses incurred by the full-bridge inverter. Full-bridge converter is controlled by using microprocessor control method, and its operation is verified through computer aided simulations.

The induction heating is widely used not only in the industrial fields but also in the home appliances. But the conventional induction heating systems have shortcoming that it use only magnetic utensil, in this paper, heating of Aluminum sheet by full-bridge series resonant high-frequency inverter is proposed. Also, the principle of induction heating and operations of full-bridge inverter equivalent circuit are explained. The proposed inverter controls the output voltage using phase-shift irrespective of the switching frequency using phase-shift. As a result the proposed induction heating system by full-bridge resonant inverter shows the possibility that make up for the shortcoming of the conventional existing induction heating systems.

This paper analyzes the losses of the switching device for a full bridge inverter connected to the grid. As the development of power conversion system, losses are dominant factors in judging the efficiency of a system. The losses of a switching device can be divided into switching loss and conduction loss, both of which can be estimated by analyzing periodic switching waveform. The switching loss is generated when the switch is turned on and off, while the conduction loss is generated when the switch is turned on. The estimated losses of the MOSFET switch are compared with the simulation results.
An improved single-phase full-bridge zero-voltage-switching inverter using a subtractive coupled magnetics is proposed in this paper. The proposed topology overcomes several drawbacks of the conventional ARCPI zero-voltage-switching inverter including two bulky capacitors which can cause problems such as the need for a protection circuit and voltage fluctuation of split capacitors. Also the proposed topology can reduce the number of devices required for ZVS through a simplified auxiliary circuit, thus achieving low cost and small volume and is applicable a modified unipolar PWM scheme. Detail mode analysis and design considerations are provided for optimal efficiency. In the end, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed topology are verified experimentally under various conditions.

The application of A.C. motor for servo system is rapidly increased according to the recent advance of power electronics and digital control techniques. The induction motor which has a simple structure and needs less maintenance has become to be used widely in the industrial field for the speed and position control recently. In this paper, the full-bridge resonant inverter is applied to the speed control of single phase inducting motor. The digital PID control algorithm is used and the control parameter is determined by the Zigler-Nichols transient response method. The speed control is carried out by the one chip micro-processor(intel EV 8097BH) and control program is developed by the assembly language. By the experimental result, it is confirmed that the speed of single phase induction motor driven by full bridge series inverter can be smoothly controlled by a digital PID controller.
