1970년대의 민간경비연구 (A Study on Private Security in the 1970s)

  • 1960년대 경제개발5개년계획이 성공적으로 수행되면서 산업이 발달하고 경제가 성장하면서 각종 산업시설이 건설되어 이에 대한 시설방호문제가 대두되었다. 북한의 위협이 상존한 가운데 경찰력은 국내 치안유지를 담당하는 것도 벅찬 실정이었기에 산업시설의 경비문제를 해결하기 위하여 1962년에 청원경찰제도를 도입하였으나 제도의 비현실 때문에 활성화되지 못하고 1973년에 전면 개정되었다. 1970년에 들어와 경제성장과 함께 산업화, 도시화가 진전됨에 따라 인구의 도시집적 등의 불이익의 하나로 범죄 문제 등이 야기되어 치안수요가 급격히 증가하였다. 따라서 치안 당국은 준경찰력 확보방안의 일환으로 용역경비업법이 제정한 것이다. 그동안 성장산업으로 괄목할만한 성장을 거듭해온 경비업계가 새로운 도약을 하기 위해 방향을 설정하기 위해서는 지난날을 반추하고 성찰하는 기회가 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 한국 민간경비의 제도적인 기틀이 마련된 1970년대의 민간 경비를 둘러싼 사회적 환경을 분석하고 민간경비에 발전적인 계기가 되는 중요한 요소들을 체계적으로 분석하는 것이다.

Do Bars Trigger Activity in Galactic Nuclei?

  • We investigate the connection between the presence of bars and AGN activity, using a volume-limited sample of ~6,000 late-type galaxies with axis ratio b/a > 0.6 and $M_r=-19.5+5logh$ at low redshift (0.02 < z ${\leq}$ 0.055), selected from Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 7. Although bars are believed to play an important role in fueling AGNs, it is still an open question whether AGN activity is connected with the presence of bars. We find that the bar fraction in AGN-host galaxies (44.1%) is 2.5 times higher than in non-AGN galaxies (17.6%), implying an AGN-bar connection. However, this trend is simply caused by the fact that AGN-host galaxies are on average more massive and redder than non-AGN galaxies since the bar fraction increases with u-r color and velocity dispersion. When AGN-host and non-AGN galaxies with fixed u-r color and velocity dispersion are compared, the excess of bar fraction in AGN-host galaxies disappears. Among AGN-host galaxies we find no strong difference of the Eddington ratio distributions between barred and non-barred systems. These results indicate that AGN activity is not directly connected with the presence of bars.

STARBURST AND AGN CONNECTIONS AND MODELS

  • There is accumulating evidence for a strong link between nuclear starbursts and AGN. Molecular gas in the central regions of galaxies plays a critical role in fueling nuclear starburst activity and feeding central AGN. The dense molecular ISM is accreted to the nuclear regions by stellar bars and galactic interactions. Here we describe recent observational results for the OB star forming regions in M51 and the nuclear star burst in Arp 220 - both of which have approximately the same rate of star formation per unit mass of ISM. We suggest that the maximum efficiency for forming young stars is an Eddington-like limit imposed by the radiation pressure of newly formed stars acting on the interstellar dust. This limit corresponds to approximately 500 $L_{\bigodot} / M_{\bigodot}$ for optically thick regions in which the radiation has been degraded to the NIR. Interestingly, we note that some of the same considerations can be important in AGN where the source of fuel is provided by stellar evolution mass-loss or ISM accretion. Most of the stellar mass-loss occurs from evolving red giant stars and whether their mass-loss can be accreted to a central AGN or not depends on the radiative opacity of the mass-loss material. The latter depends on whether the dust survives or is sublimated (due to radiative heating). This, in turn, is determined by the AGN luminosity and the distance of the mass-loss stars from the AGN. Several AGN phenomena such as the broad emission and absorption lines may arise in this stellar mass-loss material. The same radiation pressure limit to the accretion may arise if the AGN fuel is from the ISM since the ISM dust-to-gas ratio is the same as that of stellar mass-loss.

  • In this modern digital era, there are very vigorous arguments about digital and media aesthetics throughout culture and art on the basis of new transferring of recognition about the art-media's characteristics. Therefore, this paper tries to discover the art-media's characteristics and aesthetic value that are included in contemporary digital fashion through studying the fusion between digital and fashion. The purpose of this research is to offer positive and evolutive opportunity of artistic thinking to make the meeting between fashion and media suggest the future generation, adaptation and recognition in the media - developmental environment that will be deeper and more fueling. In the area of research method, this paper takes the method of theoretical research by referring national and foreign literatures and preceding research-papers, and carries out investigation and analysis about digital fashion for the last 10 years. The results of this study; The art-media's characteristics of modern digital fashion are virtuality, immateriality and characteristics of multimedia. The aesthetic values can be classified with four kinds of properties. First is hybridity initiated from multi-media that creates works; the second is infinite reproductivity initiated from the characteristics of the multi media and the digital carrier. Thirdly, there is also interactivity appeared all over the area of production, adaptation and perception caused by non-linearity and immateriality. Finally there is synesthesia that can extend the capability of sense through digital media.

수소-CNG 복합충전소 정량적 위험성평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Quantitative Risk Assessment of Hydrogen-CNG Complex Refueling Station)

  • 본 연구는 기존의 CNG충전소에 복합으로 수소충전소를 건설하는 형태의 수소-CNG 복합충전소에 대한 정량적 위험성평가를 수행하였다. 수소충전소와 CNG충전소에서 발생할 수 있는 사고시나리오를 도출하고 각 시나리오에 대한 사고발생빈도를 고려하여 개인적, 사회적 위험도를 계산하였다. 위험성평가 결과 사회적 위험도는 허용가능 범위에 들어 왔으나, 개인적 위험도에 있어서는 일부 지역에서 허용범위를 벗어나는 구간이 발생하였고, 위험성기여도 분석을 통해 고위험요소를 발굴하였다. 수소-CNG 복합충전소에서는 CNG 저장용기, 압축기, 제어 판넬에서 대규모 누출이 발생할 경우 높은 위험도를 보이게 되며 충전소 전체 위험도의 약 88%를 기여하게 된다. 따라서 이러한 고 위험요소에 대하여는 주기적이고 집중적인 안전관리가 이루어져야 한다.

  • 전 세계적으로 급성장하고 있는 자동차연료로 압축천연가스(CNG)의 사용이 일반화되고 있다. 1996년도에 100만 대이던 CNG자동차가 2006년도에는 5배가 증가하였으며, 지금도 계속 증가하고 있는 추세이다. CNG연료는 가솔린 및 디젤연료에 비하여 효율적이고 완전연소에 가까워 청정연료로서 적합하다. 또한 배출 가스로서 일산화탄소, 탄화수소 및 질소산화물 등이 다른 연료에 비하여 유리하며, 경제적인 면에서도 투자가치가 있다. 본 연구에서는 천연가스자동차의 환경적인 특성화 효율적이고 경제적인 면에서 고찰하고자 한다.

  • As interest in eco-friendly and fuel-efficient electric vehicles has increased globally, there has also been a growing interest in the efficiency, vibration, and noise of motors for electric vehicles Electric vehicles generally have significantly lower driving ranges per charge compared to the maximum driving range per fueling of internal combustion engine vehicles. Additionally, there are issues with various vibrations and noise generated by the motor that can cause discomfort for passengers. Therefore, research is necessary to reduce losses, vibration, and noise of the motor to improve the driving range of electric vehicles. IPMSM with a purchased design can obtain additional reluctance torque by utilizing the difference in inductance between the d and q axes. However, due to this reluctance torque, torque ripple occurs larger than other motors. The increase in torque ripple also increases noise and vibration. Since the reluctance torque, which is the main cause of torque ripple, is determined by the shape of the motor components, torque ripple can be reduced through shape optimization. In this paper, a rotor shape for reducing torque ripple and core loss that causes vibration, noise, and efficiency to decrease of IPMSM for electric vehicles was proposed. Optimization design was carried out by changing the shape of the q-axis path of the rotor to reduce the difference in inductance of the d and q-axis of the rotor. Finally, in order to verify the validity of the design variables derived through the optimal design, the original model and the improved model were compared through the FEM. Compared to the original model, the improved model's torque verifying ripple was reduced by about 62% and core loss was reduced by about 29%, the superiority of the improved model.

반탄화 및 혼합비율 조건별 폐바이오매스 연료 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Waste Biomass Fuel by the Conditions of Torrefaction and Biomass Mixing Ratio)

  • 본 연구에서는 하수슬러지의 연료화를 위하여 반탄화 생성물을 분석하였다. 혼합시료는 하수슬러지 함량을 50%로 고정하고, 왕겨와 커피박의 함량을 50%로 조절하여 제조하였다. 반탄화 실험에서 반응 시간(30min, 60min)과 온도($200^{\circ}C$, $250^{\circ}C$, $300^{\circ}C$)를 SF(Severity Factor)를 이용하여 단일변수로 나타내었다. 연구 결과 반탄화 조건인 SF가 증가할수록 발열량과 연료비가 증가하였으며, 연소성지수는 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 혼합시료의 발열량은 커피박(CR)과 반탄화 조건(SF) 모두의 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 연료비 범위는 SF가 6.19보다 낮은 경우 갈탄의 연료비 범위(0.5~1.0)와 유사하나 SF가 7.36보다 큰 경우 저도역청탄의 연료비 범위(1.0~1.8)와 유사한 것을 확인하였다. 연소성지수는 커피박보다는 왕겨가 더 함유될수록 낮은 조건의 SF에서 안정 범위(3,000~5,500kcal/kg)의 값을 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다.

INVESTIGATION OF RUNNING BEHAVIORS OF AN LPG SI ENGINE WITH OXYGEN-ENRICHED AIR DURING START/WARM-UP AND HOT IDLING

  • This paper experimentally investigates the effects of oxygen-enriched air (OEA) on the running behaviors of an LPG SI engine during both start/warm-up (SW) and hot idling (HI) stages. The experiments were performed on an air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, LPG SI engine with an electronic fuel injection system and an electrically-heated oxygen sensor. OEA containing 23% and 25% oxygen (by volume) was supplied for the experiments. The throttle position was fixed at that of idle condition. A fueling strategy was used as following: the fuel injection pulse width (FIPW) in the first cycle of injection was set 5.05 ms, and 2.6 ms in the subsequent cycles till the achieving of closed-loop control. In closed-loop mode, the FIPW was adjusted by the ECU in terms of the oxygen sensor feedback. Instantaneous engine speed, cylinder pressure, engine-out time-resolved HC, CO and NOx emissions and excess air coefficient (EAC) were measured and compared to the intake air baseline (ambient air, 21% oxygen). The results show that during SW stage, with the increase in the oxygen concentration in the intake air, the EAC of the mixture is much closer to the stoichiometric one and more oxygen is made available for oxidation, which results in evidently-improved combustion. The ignition in the first firing cycle starts earlier and peak pressure and maximum heat release rate both notably increase. The maximum engine speed is elevated and HC and CO emissions are reduced considerably. The percent reductions in HC emissions are about 48% and 68% in CO emissions about 52% and 78%; with 23% and 25% OEA, respectively, compared to ambient air. During HI stage, with OEA, the fuel amount per cycle increases due to closed-loop control, the engine speed rises, and speed stability is improved. The HC emissions notably decrease: about 60% and 80% with 23% and 25% OEA, respectively, compared to ambient air. The CO emissions remain at the same low level as with ambient air. During both SW and HI stages, intake air oxygen enrichment causes the delay of spark timing and the increased NOx emissions.

CNG 용기용밸브의 압력방출장치 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance of Pressure Relief Devices of CNG Cylinder Valves)

  • 이 연구는 천연가스버스에 장착된 용기가 국부화염에 집중적으로 노출되었을 때나 외기온도가 높은 여름철 충전과정에서 과 충전되었을 때 용기파열을 방지하기 위한 방안으로 압력방출장치의 성능을 확인하고 확대 적용할 목적으로 의도되었다. 열사이클링 실험결과, $-40^{\circ}C{\sim}82^{\circ}C$ 인증기준에서 가스누출요건을 모두 충족하였지만 $-45^{\circ}C{\sim}135^{\circ}C$의 가속조건에서는 3개사 시험편중 2개사 시험편의 오링이 손상되었다. 또한 온도감응형 PRD의 평균작동시간은 액체봉입식이 1분 39초가 걸렸고, 가용합금식이 2분 31초가 소요되어 액체봉입식이 가용합금식보다 약 1분 정도 빠름을 나타내었다. 또한 압력감응형 PRD의 작동압력은 가속조건에서 약 32.1 MPa을 나타내었고 인증기준에서의 압력감응형 PRD의 파열압력은 $30.7{\sim}32.1\;MPa$를 기록하였다. 이상의 실험을 통해서 압력방출장치의 성능은 온도감응형 PRD의 경우, 액체봉입식이 가용합금식보다 화염에 더 효과적이며, 압력 감응형 PRD의 파열압력은 외부온도 및 반복가압이 파열판의 작동압력에 크게 영향을 미치지 않음을 확인할 수 있었다.
