Chlorophasts are a central structural feature of stomatal guard cells. Guard cell chloroplasts have both photosystems I and II (PS I and II), carry out O2 evoluation , cyclic and noncyclic photophosporylation, and possess the Calvin-Benson cycle enzymes involved in CO2 fixation. These imply that guard cell chloroplasts have a normal photosynthetic carbon reduction pathway just like their mesophyll counterparts, indicating similar fuctional organization of thylakoid membranes in both types of mesophyll and guard cell chloroplasts. It has been, however, found that guard cell chloroplasts have distinctive and comparative properties in their photosynthetic performance. In this article, I review the intrinsic features on the light reaction of and carbon reduction by guard cell chloroplasts.
Dispersion behavior was investigated as functions of species and arrount of addtives, binders, abrasives, lubricants, etc.. Dispersibilityand other various properties were affected by the fuctional groups of binders. Friction coefficient and surface roughness of tape were changed with lubricants, therefore duratility of magnetic tape was varied. As a result of above investigations, we concluded that dispersion behavior of particles was very sensitive for obtaining maximum properties of metal particle tape.

Engineers need to reduce the product design time interval and deal with frequent design changes. For this purpose a design expert system has been developed where a 3D CAD system is used for the visualization of a design layout especially the car audio design. This expert system is based on the configuration design methodology, one of the design methods which emulates the engineering design process, and the parametric design method. The design methods and heuristic knowledge are represented as rules, and design parts are represented as objects with properties. After an inference process, design parameters are extracted and they are used leer the parametric design. This study focused on the shape visualization of product components in the preliminary design phase.
On this research. The method of space analysis(Space syntax) is used to investigate the relation between composition and configuration in the houses of four modern architects. Space analysis represent that the houses permutate the morphological properties of depth and rings to embed domestic fuctions within the hoe and to interface household memgers. Two of the house are judged to be well composite but banal: The other appear more inventive in relation compositinal principles to space configuration, to create a measure of subtlety and richness in life style which is lacking in the examples where form is manipulated in the abstract. On this research. It is discoverd that Knowledge of both the internal laws of form and the social logic of space is required to generate the practical conjunction of formal rigour with fuctional ease which we recognise in the houses of architects.

This research was performed to make functional papers by using the waste of herbal medicine such as Astragalus membranaceus, Angelica acutiloba, and Artemisia capillaris as additives, and to evaluate their physical and optical properties of the manufactured paper. The physical and optical properties were decreased with the increase of the amount of herbal medicine. Of those manufactured papers, the functional paper with Artemisia capillaris showed the dramatic decrease in its physical properties. Adding the herbal medicine waste as additives developed the aesthetic pattern on the surface of the manufactured paper. The paper showing the black pattern on white surface was most favored. Different patterns could be made by changing the size of fibers and the amount of wastes. There was odor emitted from the paper due to the herbal medicine waste, which make the paper to have a potential for the diverse purpose. The herbal medicine waste can be applied to replace weighting agents in the manufacturing process of paper or used for the fuctional additives, resulting in the reduce of the quantity of a pulp consumed. The paper with 10-20% Angelica acutiloba waste were thought to have the most excellent quality on the process point of view.

The content of $N^{\varepsilon}$-(carboxymethyl)lysine (CML), an advanced glycation endproduct, in stir-fried anchovy prepared under different cooking conditions was determined, along with their sensory properties. The aim of the study was to optimize cooking conditions of stir-fried anchovy for minimal CML production by using different sugars, sugar concentrations, pH levels, and cooking times. The results showed that CML content increased with increasing sugar concentration. Cooking time did not affect CML content but lowering the pH with lemon juice decreased it significantly. The CML content of samples with a high sugar concentration, and without lemon juice was $4.67{\mu}g/mL$, and that of samples with both a low sugar concentration and lemon juice was $2.49{\mu}g/mL$, indicating a 47% reduction in the CML content of sir-fried anchovy. We conclude that stir-fried anchovy cooked with less sugar and the addition of lemon juice can reduce CML content while maintaining sensory characteristics.
Two functional urethane acrylates were synthesized by using polycarprolactonediol (PCLD) and diisocyanate. The synthesized fuctional urethane acrylate was mixed with butyl acrylate(BA) or adhesion promoters, and their properties were investigated. To synthesize an excellent transparent urethane acrylate, isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI) was used. In addition, the effect of adding butyl acrylate for the improvement of shrinkage of urethane acrylate was studied. The results showed that the addition of butyl acrylate improved the shrinkage, and the optimum butyl acrylate content was 15 wt%. Both 2-ethyl hexyl acrylate (2-EHA) and ethyl acrylate(EA) were polymerized at $85^{\circ}C$ for 4 hrs to use as adhesion promoters, and the polymerized adhesion promoters were mixed to the UV-curing resin. The results showed that the adhesion properties increased with the increase of adhesion promoters content up to 15 wt%.
The effects of washing and desinewing on the composition, fuctional properties, storage stability and texture of spent layer meat were investigated. Spent layer meat subjected to treatments involving water washing, bicarbonate washing and desinewing showed increases in moisture content and decreases in protein content, hydroxyproline content and heme pigment content. Increases in salt extractable protein content and water holding capacity and decreases in buffering capacity and emulsifying capacity were also observed. The 2-thiobarbituric acid values of washed and desinewed samples increased slowly during storage indicated the increase in storage stability compared to the control. Sample rolls prepared from bicarbonate washed and desinewed thigh and drumstick meats were scored by trained sensory panelists as less tough than the products made of ground thigh and drumstick meats.
The collagens from filefish (Novoden modestus) and cod (Gadus macrocephalus Tilesius) skin were isolated and their physicochemical properties were investigated. Glutamic acid, hydroxyproline, valine and phenylalanine in the filefish skin collagen (FSC) were presented at higher levels than those of cod skin collagen (CSC), but the contents of glycine, proline and serine were contrary. The content of essential amino acids of FSC (265 residues/1000 residues) was higher than CSC (229 residues). The solubilities of both collagens were the lowest at pH 7.0, but precipitously increased at acid zone(below pH 5.0). FSC has lower viscosity than CSC. Furthermore, while the viscosities of both collagens were the lowest at pH 7.0, the viscosities of FSC and CSC were the highest at pH 4.0 and pH 2.0, respectively. The denaturation temperature of $FS(25^{\circ}C)$ was higher than $CSD\;(17^{\circ}C)$. The free hydrophobic residue contents of FSC and CSC tended to increase till $60^{\circ}C,\;and\;50^{\circ}C$ respectively, and to decrease thereafter. Hydration capacities of both collagens were the lowest at pH 7.0, and CSC had the superior hydration capacity to FSC. In addition, emulsifying and emulsifying stability of CSC was also superior to FSC.

To increase of surface hydrophilicity of polymeric thin films is an important approaching technique for introduction of self-cleaning and/or antifogging properties on the surfaces of those films. In general, hydrophilic surface can be produced by coating non ionic surfactants or by increasing surface energy. Various non-ionic surfactants, such as Tween, Span, and PEG-PPG block copolymers were selected for our experiments, because they are cheap and well soluble in toluene system as well as they contain several reactive hydroxy fuctional groups with coupling agents. Blending conditions influence the PET film surface hydrophilicities. However, the introduction of only these surfactants on the surface of PET films did not show the high durability of hydrophilic properties after washing with water. To improve the durability two types of coupling agents such as epoxide and diisocyanate were adopted. Contact angle of water on hydrophilically coated PET film surface with 6 wt% of isophrone diisocyanate(IPDI) containing coating solution was reached to $8.7^{\circ}$, which was an indirect evidence for very high surface hydrophilicity. A light(500 nm of wavelength) transmittance value of coated PET film was changed only from 87% to 85% with keeping a good transparent property. This film can be usable for self-cleaning film industries.
