The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effects of a size of the friendship network and quality of friendship on the associations between mutual antipathy and maladjustment. The subjects were 678 fifth- and sixth-grade primary school children who were recruited from a public school in Bucheon City. The Peer Nomination Inventory was used to assess mutual antipathy, peer victimization, social withdrawal, aggression, and the friendship network. The children were given a classroom roster and asked to nominate up to three classmates who fit each description. Additionally, the children reported the quality of their friendships using the Friendship Quality Scale. Each child was asked to indicate his or her one best friend and rate how accurately a sentence describe done of their best friends on the scale. The results revealed that the friendship network and friendship quality significantly moderated the relationships between mutual antipathy and social withdrawal, and peer victimization. The magnitude of the association between mutual antipathy and social withdrawal was not significant for large friendship networks and high quality friendships. Although mutual antipathy was significantly associated with peer victimization, the association was stronger at lower levels than at higher levels of the friendship network and quality. However, there was no moderating effect of the friendship network and quality on the association between mutual antipathy and aggression. A large friendship network and high quality friendship could be protective factors among those who have mutual antipathy in peer groups.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between peer victimization by peers, bullying, and friendships, with a focus on friendship network, friendship quality, and friends' characteristics. The subjects were 678 fifth and sixth grade primary school children recruited from a public school in Bucheon city. The peer nomination index was used to assess peer victimization, bullying, and friendship network. In addition, children themselves reported on the quality of their friendships using the Friendship Quality Scale. The results showed that victimization by peers was influenced by friendship network size, support, and victimization of friends, whereas bullying was explained by support and the bullying behaviors of friends.
This study investigated associations between attachment and friendship. This study also examined the mediating effects of empathy on the association between two variables. Participants consisted of $4^{th}$ to $6^{th}$ grade elementary school children including 173 boys and 141 girls. Two elementary schools were located in Seoul and Bucheon. Children participated in a peer nomination interview. They nominated their three most liked peers. Children's responses to the best friend of the peer nomination identified the children's best friends. A Friendship Quality Scale measured children's positive friendship quality and friendship satisfaction. Children completed the Inventory of the Parent and Peer Attachment Scale that assessed maternal and paternal attachment. In addition, they completed a children's version of the Empathy Quotient that measured empathy. Pearson's correlation and Structural Equation Modeling were used to analyse the data. The results indicated that attachment had a direct influence on friendship network. Children who had the high levels of attachment security had large friendship network. However, attachment did not have a significant effect on friendship quality. Moreover, empathy had mediating effects on the association between attachment and friendship quality as well as the friendship network. The results of this research highlight the importance of attachment and empathy on children's friendship.

A Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is a form of Mobile ad-hoc network, to provide temporary communications among nearby vehicles. Mobile node of VANET consumes energy and resource with participating in the member of network. Some node tends to have a selfishness to place one's own profits above cooperation with others. As result of selfish node, it reduces data accessibility and the efficiency of networks. In this paper, we propose noble method, Friendship-VaR that excludes selfish nodes from a group of VANET. Friendship-VaR enables to improve data accessibility by eliminating selfish nodes and sharing data among reliable nodes. Friendship-VaR determines selfishness of nodes by simple data exchange. The experiments shows proposed method outperform existing method in terms of data accessibility.
Friendship network characteristics, friendship quality, and popularity status were examined for 298 first and third graders(M age=7 yrs., 3 mo. and 9 yrs., 2 mo.). Children provided friendship nominations and responded to the Friendship Quality Scale(Rhee & Koh, in press). Results indicated that 3rd graders had larger friendship networks and more supportive friendship than 1st graders, and girls reported more reciprocal friends and more supportive friendships than boys. The best predictor for friendship satisfaction was a reliable alliance. The higher the reciprocity in friendship choice, the higher the perception of friendship functions and satisfaction. Unpopular children were less likely than popular children to have a reciprocal friend, although friendless children were found in both groups.
The present study investigated the effect of area-specific social networks on urban workers life satisfaction. For this, 356 adults over age 20 were interviewed from June 17th 2013 to June 29th 2013. The findings are as follows: First, the closeness of family network index demonstrates that participants with higher affective support have higher life satisfaction. In addition, stronger extended family network brings more life satisfaction and so does a bigger friendship network. Secondly, the extended family network explains 17.6% of the variance in social networks follows by family network, other network, and friendship network, respectively. The closeness variable of social networks yields statistical significance on all categories of networks. The affective support level in the closeness variable of social networks shows differences as well; family network positively associates with life satisfaction. The purposes of this research are to investigate the actual conditions of urban workers' life satisfaction and the influence of family, extended family, friendship, and other variables on life satisfaction. If social networks have an influence on life satisfaction, to find the domain of social networks that holds the most influences on life satisfaction is an important ground in the process of implementing regional welfare.

This study identified how the interactivity's sub factors influenced on the online friendship desire/SNS gift convenience by reorganizing the interactivity's sub factors in the mobile context. As the results of this study, it was found that the connectedness, the synchronicity and playfulness positively influenced on the online friendship desire for the SNS gift convenience, the only connectedness positively influenced on it. And it was identified that the SNS gift convenience and the online friendship desire positively influenced on the SNS gift intention. This study is academically meaningful in that it conducted an empirical research by focusing on the friendship desire in relation to the SNS gift. Besides, through the results of this study, the online friendship desire and the SNS gift convenience will have to be considered as providing any SNS gift service, and that is expected to create knowledge for SNS business model to companies.

Despite introduced new marketing tool on managers and professionals, online word-of-mouth including SNS lack of study on social network what based viral in marketing. In social network, patterns of relationship between individuals influence each other individual behaviors. Therefore this research grouped friendship-network and advice-network by characteristics, studied on trust of information source that antecedents of word-of-mouth in network. This study examined that affect- and cognition based trust affect WOM acceptance as WOM behaviors and examined effect of type of product as moderating variable. Additional this literature studied that WOM acceptance affect WOM recommend. To find the Influence of Trust on Word-of-Mouth Behaviors, a survey has done 206 samples(undergraduate students). The results of this study are as following : First, type of trust different friendship network and advice network. Affect-based trust is outstanding in friendship network than in advice network, while cognition-based trust stands out in advice network than another. Second, affect- and cognition based trust positive affect WOM acceptance. Contrary to expectations, what is preconceived trust in network have a similar effect for WOM acceptance regardless of type of trust. Third, WOM acceptance positive affect WOM recommend. Fourth, affect based trust affect WOM acceptance of hedonic product rather than utilitarian product. Upon especially in friendship network terms, affect-based trust has a more effect on WOM acceptance than cognition-based trust. This study has many implications. First, it is important that trust what have an influence WOM acceptance grouped affect- and cognition based trust. Second, it confirmed that trust is antecedents of positive WOM. Third, it is important that network grouped friendship network and advice-network by trust. Fourth, it gave managerial implications that they have to supply WOM through which network by type of product. We This study classified network and trust based on previous study. Then it examined relations between WOM behaviors. Further research could do enrich various things for example various age group, valence of message, quality of information.
