차량 충돌방지용 FMCW 레이더의 주파수 Sweep 선형성 개선을 위한 간단한 기법 (Simple Method for Improving the Frequency Sweep Linearity of FMCW Collision Warning Radar)

  • 차량용 FMCW(Frequency Modulation Continuous Wave) 레이더는 선형적인 주파수 변조 방식을 이용하여 장애물의 거리와 속도를 구하는 시스템이다. 정확한 거리 및 속도 측정을 위해서 77 GHz 대역에서 300 MHz 이상의 광대역 주파수 선형성이 보장되는 RF부가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 VCO를 사용하는 FMCW 시스템에 적합한 선형성 개선을 위한 간단한 방법을 제안하고 있다. 제안된 방법은 FMCW 레이더 송신 파형을 변형하여 VCO의 전압 대 주파수 특성을 측정하고, 이를 LUT(Look-Up Table)로 보상하는 방식이다. 이 방식은 추가적인 회로 없이 기존의 FMCW 레이더에 그대로 적용이 가능한 장점이 있다.

적정 포장설계를 위한 수출용 배의 공진특성 (Resonance Characteristics of the Pears for Exporting for Optimum Packaging Design)

  • Shock and vibration inputs are transmitted from the vehicle through the packaging to the fruit. Inside, these cause sustained bouncing of fruits against each other and container wall. These steady state vibration input may cause serous fruit injury, and this damage is particularly severe whenever the fruit inside the package is free to bounce, and is vibrated at its resonance frequency. The determination of the resonance frequencies of the fruit and vegetables may help the packaging designer to determine the proper packaging system providing adequate protection for the fruit, and to understand the complex interaction between the components of fruit when they relate to expected transportation vibration inputs. Instrumentation and technologies are described for determining the vibration response characteristics of the pears for exporting with frequency range from 10 to 200 Hz, sweep rate of 1 octave/min, sweep method of logarithmic up and down and acceleration levels of 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 G considering the domestic transportation environment. The resonance frequency of the pears ranged from 49.04 to 87.16 Hz and the amplitude at resonance was between 0.96 and 4.02 G in test frequency band and acceleration level. The resonance frequency and amplitude at resonance frequency band of the pears decreased with the increase of the sample mass. The multiple nonlinear regression equations for predicting the resonance frequency of the pears were developed using the independent variables such as mass, input acceleration.

Construction of morphological filter for single trial recording of event-related potentials

  • We constructed morphological filter for single sweep records of event-related potential (ERP), especially P300 waveform. By combining 4 basic operations; erosion, dilation, opening and closing, we can derive any desired filters whose property fits the current objectives. The morphological filter for single sweep records of ERP was constructed by taking account of the features of the signal and noise components. The morphological filter has superior properties of separating the signal ancl the noise even existing within a same frequency band. The constructed morphological filter was tested by using simulation data of ERP and then applied to actual ERP data of a normal subject. The results proved that the constructed morphological filter was an appropriate tool for single sweep records of ERP.

시간-온도 중첩이론을 적용한 아스팔트 바인더의 점소성 구성 모형 (A Viscoplastic Constitutive Model Based on Overstress Concept with Time-Temperature Superposition Principle)

  • PURPOSES: Suggestion of asphalt binder constitutive model based on time-temperature superposition principle and overstress concept in order to describe behavior of asphalt binders. METHODS: A series of temperature sweep tests and multiple stress creep and recovery(MSCR) tests are performed to verify the applicability of time-temperature superposition principle(t-Ts) and to develop viscoelastoplastic constitutive equation based on overstress concept. For the tests, temperature sweep tests at various high temperature and various frequency and MSCR test at $58^{\circ}C$, $64^{\circ}C$ $70^{\circ}C$, $76^{\circ}C$, and $82^{\circ}C$ are performed. From the temperature sweep tests, dynamic shear modulus mastercurve and time-temperature shift function are built and the shift function and MSCR at $58^{\circ}C$ are utilized to determine model coefficients of VBO model. RESULTS: It is observed that the time-temperature shift function built at low strain level of 0.1% is applicable not only to 1.0% strain level temperature sweep test but also maximum 500,00% strain level of MSCR test. As well, the modified VBO model shows perfect prediction on MSCR measured strain at the other temperatures. CONCLUSIONS: The Time-temperature superposition principle stands hold from very low strain level to very high strain level and that the modified VBO model can be applicable for various range of strain and temperature region to predict elastic, viscoelastic, and viscoplastic strain of asphalt binders.

차량용 레이더 간섭 제거 신호처리 방법 (Interference Cancelation Method for Intelligent Vehicle Radar)

  • 차량용 레이더 신호처리 기술에는 정확한 거리 및 속도 추출, 다중 타겟 검지, 멀티패스에 의한 클러터 제거, 다중 레이더 간섭 제거 등이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 77GHz FMCW 레이더를 탑재한 다중 사용자들의 간섭을 제거하기위한 방법을 제안하였다. 이는 FMCW 레이더의 특성을 이용한 것으로, 레이더를 장착하는 각 차량들이 서로 다른 주파수 스윕(Sweep) 모양의 첩 열로 신호를 송신하는 방법이다. 제안된 방법은 비록 같은 주파수 대역을 사용하는 차량이 인접 지역에 여러 대 있어도 서로간의 간섭을 회피 할 수 있어, 지능형 자동차는 물론이고, 로봇, 무인 전투 차량, 무인 자동차 등 다양한 분야에 응용할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

  • A vibration test for a cylindrical rod inserted on the grid support structure was tested using the sine sweep excitation method with closed loop force control. The effect of the mounting location of a test rod on the vibration characteristics of a rod continuously supported by the full size($16{\times}16$) grid support was identified. An electromagnetic vibration shaker, non-contact displacement sensor and HP/VXI data acquisition device were used and TDAS software was also used as a data sampling and processing tools. The natural frequencies and mode shape of the test rod were consistent with the previous works of a rod vibration test with partial grids($3{\times}3,\;5{\times}5\;and\;7{\times}7$). The frequency characteristics of the rod according to the mounting location were shown clear discrepancies, but mode shapes were nearly same. As the test rod closes to the bottom clamping region of the spacer grid, peak vibration amplitudes of the rod become smaller.

속도군 선택 광펌핑 분광학 (Velocity selective optical pumping spectroscopy)

  • 기체상태의 루비듐 원자가 실온에서 Maxwell 속도 분포를 이루고 있을 때 광펌핑 현상과 특정 속도 원자의 선택에 의해 도플러 효과를 제거시키는 속도군 선택 광펌핑(VSOP) 분광학을 실시하였다. 본 실험에서는 주파수가 고정된 locked laser와 주파수 튜닝이 가능한 sweep laser를 동시에 사용하되, 두 빔을 같은 방향으로 진행시키고, 시료 속에서 서로 겹치게 함으로써 주공진 신호만을 발생시킬 수 있었다. 이 방법으로 지금까지 알려진 VSOP 분광학보다 원자들의 속도 선택 범위가 더 넓어졌다.

Synthesis and Properties of Bio-Thermoplastic Polyurethanes with Different Isocyanate Contents

  • Bio-based polyester polyol was synthesized via esterification between azelaic acid and isosorbide. After esterification, bio-based polyurethanes were synthesized using polyester polyol, 1,3-propanediol as the chain extender, and 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, in mixing ratios of 1:1:1.5, 1:1:1.8, 1:1:2, and 1:1:2.3. The bio TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) samples were characterized by using FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), TGA (Thermal Gravimetric Analysis), DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry), and GPC (Gel Permeation Chromatography). The mechanical properties (tensile stress and hardness) were obtained by using UTM, a Shore A tester, and a Taber abrasion tester. The viscoelastic properties were tested by an Rubber Processing Analyzer in dynamic strain sweep and dynamic frequency test modes. The chemical resistance was tested with methanol by using the swelling test method. Based on these results, the bio TPU synthesized with the ratio of 1:1:2.3, referred to as TPU 4, showed the highest thermal decomposition temperature, the largest molecular weight, and most compact matrix structure due to the highest ratio of the hard segment in the molecular structure. It also presented the highest tensile strength, the largest elongation, and the best viscoelastic properties among the different bio TPUs synthesized herein.

  • SCPI(Standard Commands for Programmable Instrument) is a standard command sets designed for controlling various types of instruments. In order to control FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) analyzing device using SCPI it is required to support sweep measurement function. We defined SCPI command set for FFT analysis and developed parser of defined command set using lex(Lexical Analyzer Generator) and yacc(Yet Another Compiler Compiler). After developing FFT analyzing test was performed with that parser. Up to audible signal frequency the result of FFT analysis was accurate and that result was agree with that of conventional FFT analyzer. As a result it is proved that various types of instruments including sweep measurement instrument can be controlled with appropriate SCPI command sets. Also when developing new instruments the method used in this experiment will contribute to reducing the time required to develop the SCPI parser and increasing reliability.
