The aim of this work is to develop the fractional Bateman equations, which can model memory effects in successive isotopes transformations. Such memory effects have been previously reported in the alpha decay, which exhibits a non-Markovian behavior. Since there are radioactive decay series with consecutive alpha decays, it is convenient to include the mentioned memory effects, developing the fractional Bateman Equations, which can reproduce the standard ones when the fractional order is equal to one. The proposed fractional model preserves the mathematical shape and the symmetry of the standard equations, being the only difference the presence of the Mittag-Leffler function, instead of the exponential one. This last is a very important result, because allows the implementation of the proposed fractional model in burnup and activation codes in a straightforward way. Numerical experiments show that the proposed equations predict high decay rates for small time values, in comparison with the standard equations, which have high decay rates for large times. This work represents a novelty approach to the theory of successive transformations, and opens the possibility to study properties of the Bateman equation from a fractional approach.
Here in this investigation, a two-dimensional thermoelastic problem of thick circular plate of finite thickness under fractional order theory of thermoelastic diffusion has been considered in frequency domain. The effect of frequency in the axisymmetric thick circular plate has been depicted. The upper and lower surfaces of the thick plate are traction free and subjected to an axisymmetric heat supply. The solution is found by using Hankel transform techniques. The analytical expressions of displacements, stresses and chemical potential, temperature change and mass concentration are computed in transformed domain. Numerical inversion technique has been applied to obtain the results in the physical domain. Numerically simulated results are depicted graphically. The effect frequency has been shown on the various components.
The present research is concerned with the study of Stoneley wave propagation at the interface of two dissimilar homogeneous orthotropic magneto-thermoelastic solids with fractional order theory of type GN-III with three phase-lags and combined effect of hall current and rotation. With the help of appropriate boundary conditions the secular equations of Stoneley waves are obtained in the form of determinant. The characteristics of wave such as phase velocity, attenuation coefficient and specific loss are computed numerically. The effect of rotation on the Stoneley wave's phase velocity, attenuation coefficient, specific loss, displacement components, stress components and temperature change has been depicted graphically. Some particular cases are also derived in this problem.
The present work is considered to study the two-dimensional problem in an orthotropic magneto-thermoelastic media and examined the effect of thermal phase-lags and GN-theories on Rayleigh waves in the light of fractional order theory with combined effect of rotation and hall current. The boundary conditions are used to derive the secular equations of Rayleigh waves. The wave properties such as phase velocity, attenuation coefficient are computed numerically. The numerical simulated results are presented graphically to show the effect of phase-lags and GN-theories on the Rayleigh wave phase velocity, attenuation coefficient, stress components and temperature change. Some particular cases are also discussed in the present investigation.
Alpha stable distribution is better for modeling impulsive noises than Gaussian distribution in signal processing. This class of process has no closed form of probability density function and finite second order moments. In general, Wiener filter theory is not meaningful in S$\alpha$SG environments because the expectations may be unbounded. We proposed a new adaptive recursive least p-norm Kalman filtering algorithm based on least p-norm of innovation process with infinite variances, and a new robust multiuser detection method based on least p-norm Kalman filtering. The simulation experiments show that the proposed new algorithm is more robust than the conventional Kalman filtering multiuser detection algorithm.
In this paper, we proposed new methods for estimation of time delay and time-frequency delay in impulsive noise environment. The proposed methods are developed using the theory of ${\alpha}-stable$ distribution, including the fractional negative order moment(FNOM) and minimum dispersion(MD), which are formulated for the time delay estimation and the fractional negative order ambiguity function and complex minimum dispersion, which are difined for the joint estimation of time delay and frequency delay. Through simulation work, its performance was compared with various other algorithms. As a result, while the conventional approaches based on second-order statistics are only verified in Gaussian noise environent ($S{\alpha}S$ noise with ${\alpha}$=2) and also the recently proposed robust methods by Nikias[7] are verified only in limited impulse noise ($S{\alpha}S$ noise with the range of $1<{\alpha}{\le}2$), the methods proposed are able to estimate the time delay in Gaussian and any impulsive noise environments($S{\alpha}S$ noise with the range of $0<{\alpha}{\le}2$).
In the first part of this paper we show that, under some conditions, a polynomially demicompact operator can be demicompact. An example involving the Caputo fractional derivative of order ${\alpha}$ is provided. Furthermore, we give a refinement of the left and the right Weyl essential spectra of a closed linear operator involving the class of demicompact ones. In the second part of this work we provide some sufficient conditions on the inputs of a closable block operator matrix, with domain consisting of vectors which satisfy certain conditions, to ensure the demicompactness of its closure. Moreover, we apply the obtained results to determine the essential spectra of this operator.
In this work, we consider a problem in the context of thermoelectric materials with memory-dependent derivative for a half space which is assumed to have variable thermal conductivity depending on the temperature. The Lamé's modulii of the half space material is taken as a function of the vertical distance from the surface of the medium. The surface is traction free and subjected to a time dependent thermal shock. The problem was solved by using the Laplace transform method together with the perturbation technique. The obtained results are discussed and compared with the solution when Lamé's modulii are constants. Numerical results are computed and represented graphically for the temperature, displacement and stress distributions. Affectability investigation is performed to explore the thermal impacts of a kernel function and a time-delay parameter that are characteristic of memory dependent derivative heat transfer in the behavior of tissue temperature. The correlations are made with the results obtained in the case of the absence of memory-dependent derivative parameters.
This manuscript aims to investigate the existence, uniqueness, and stability of non-local random impulsive neutral stochastic differential time delay equations (NRINSDEs) with Poisson jumps. First, we prove the existence of mild solutions to this equation using the Banach fixed point theorem. Next, we demonstrate the stability via continuous dependence initial value. Our study extends the work of Wang, and Wu [16] where the time delay is addressed by the prescribed phase space 𝓑 (defined in Section 3). To illustrate the theory, we also provide an example of our methods. Using our results, one could investigate the controllability of random impulsive neutral stochastic differential equations with finite/infinite states. Moreover, one could extend this study to analyze the controllability of fractional-order of NRINSDEs with Poisson jumps as well.
The analysis of nonlinear vibrations, buckling, post-buckling, flutter boundary determination and post-flutter behavior of a homogeneous curved plate assuming cylindrical bending is conducted in this article. Other assumptions include simply-supported boundary conditions, supersonic aerodynamic flow at the top of the plate, constant pressure conditions below the plate, non-viscous flow model (using first- and third-order piston theory), nonlinear structural model with large deformations, and application of mechanical and thermal loads on the curved plate. The analysis is performed with constant environmental indicators (flow density, heat, Reynolds number and Mach number). The material properties (i.e., coefficient of thermal expansion and modulus of elasticity) are temperature-dependent. The equations are derived using the principle of virtual displacement. Furthermore, based on the definitions of virtual work, the potential and kinetic energy of the final relations in the integral form, and the governing nonlinear differential equations are obtained after fractional integration. This problem is solved using two approaches. The frequency analysis and flutter are studied in the first approach by transferring the handle of ordinary differential equations to the state space, calculating the system Jacobin matrix and analyzing the eigenvalue to determine the instability conditions. The second approach discusses the nonlinear frequency analysis and nonlinear flutter using the semi-analytical solution of governing differential equations based on the weighted residual method. The partial differential equations are converted to ordinary differential equations, after which they are solved based on the Runge-Kutta fourth- and fifth-order methods. The comparison between the results of frequency and flutter analysis of curved plate is linearly and nonlinearly performed for the first time. The results show that the plate curvature has a profound impact on the instability boundary of the plate under supersonic aerodynamic loading. The flutter boundary decreases with growing thermal load and increases with growing curvature.
