  • This paper is intended to propose what manufacturing configuration (manufacturing planning and shop floor control) is suitable for the tire industry. Basically tire-manufacturing process is mixed-products, parallel-disconnected-flow-shop. Both throughput time and cycle tine are very short, the variety of tires is very high, the setup time is long, shop floor data reporting requirements is high, and there are many equipments and people working. And with no exception, tire industry also now confronts increasing requirements of delivery conformance with the above peculiar characteristics of tire manufacturing and changing market environments, this paper suggests, weekly master scheduling with no MRP is desirable and traditional kanban is right selection for shop floor control/scheduling. This paper describes why this configuration should be, using the manufacturing engineering principles and some new insights like four primitives of parallel flow shop. Generally known that shop with high parallel-product-mix and long setup time isn't good candidate for kanban. The four primitives of parallel flow shop explain why kanban is also useful scheduling technique in that environment.

  • 기능성 게임의 교육적 잠재력에 대한 합의가 있는 반면, 설계뿐만 아니라 분석과 평가를 지원하기 위한 방법론과 도구의 부족이 아직 존재한다. 본 논문은 기능성 게임에 요구되는 교육학 관련 연구의 분석을 통해 필요한 요소들을 알아내어 새로운 방법론 또는 설계 방향을 모색하려는 의도를 가진다. 이를 위해 4DF(Four Dimensional Framework), GOM(Game Object Model), LM(Learning Mechanics)-GM(Game Mechanics), 교사용 프레임워크에 대한 분석을 하였다. 교육적 게임이 직면한 가장 큰 쟁점 중의 하나는 교육과 게임 원리의 부적절한 통합에 있다. 이것은 게임 설계자와 교육 전문가가 공통적인 어휘나 업무영역의 관점을 공유하지 않는다는 사실을 포함하여 다양한 요인에 기인한다.

농가맛집에서 사용하는 로컬 푸드에 대한 신뢰가 소비자 구매행동에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Confidence on Local Foods on Consumer's Purchase Behaviors from Tasty Farm Eateries)

  • This study conducted an exploratory factor analysis to examine how consumers' confidence on the local foods used at tasty farm eateries influence their purchase behaviors. The four factors of perception of local foods used at tasty farm eateries and the factors of consumer confidence and purchase behaviors were extracted for a reliability analysis, correlation analysis of variables, and simple and multiple regression analysis. The following are the findings: first, among the four factors of perception of local foods used at tasty farm eateries, safety, sociality and product value had statistically significant influences on consumer confidence, whereas regional economic value did not. In other words, safety referring to the nutritional value and sanitary safety of food ingredients used for the native foods at the tasty farm eateries, product value referring to the characteristics differentiated from general Korean cuisine, and sociality referring to the various related experiences for the interests in farm culture and local food, leads to consumer confidence, whereas regional economic value referring to farm household income, local job creation, and development of farm tourism does not. Second, consumer confidence had a statistically significant positive impact on consumers' purchase behaviors. Among the five principles of local foods, reliability is the most important factor. When consumers gain confidence on local food items and are satisfied with them, they make additional purchases and revisits. Therefore, confidence is a very important aspect for the loyalty and sustainability of business.

초기 한양도성계획의 도형적 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Geometric Form of the Preliminary Plan "hanyang" in Early Chosun Dynasty)

  • This study shows the characteristics of the early phenomena of the city plan Hanyang (old city Seoul). It consists of two steps. One is to search for the constructing principles of the geometric setting. And the other is to inquire and interpret the objects of beginning and ending points of that setting. The results based on geographic analysis and historical facts are as follows: 1) The city plan Hanyang shows a certain hierarchy:the major axis and the locations of the palace and the city set up in the prority. This priority made onto lower hierarchical plans such as the site plans of palaces and city wall. For example of the significant objects are Namdaemum (South Gate of the city wall) and Kwanghwamun (South Gate of the Palace). They are on the main axis, and became the basic points of the detailed city plans. 2) The palace palace on its major axis, right-angled minor axis, and 4 grade inclination to north. The four small city wall gates located on the base of four greater gates. 3) The geometric characteristics as constructing principle found on certain hierarchical order. Thus, the natural elements as mountains, had an important effect on the arrangement of major facilities and those main constructions made on lower - hierarchical settings. 4) These facts related closely to the philosophy of Jung, Do-Jon, the initiative planer of the Hanyang.

『상한론(傷寒論)』의 사방(四方)·사신탕(四神湯) 중(中) 주조탕(朱鳥湯)의 부재(不在)에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Absence of the Zhuniao decoction among the Four Directions Sishen decoction in 『Shanghan Lun』)

  • Among the ancient ideas of East Asia, there is a myth about the symbol of the Four Gods who commands all directions in the east, south, west, and north, and this is also reflected in the medical field. However, although there is discussion about Qinglong Decoction (青龍湯), Baihu Decoction (白虎湯) and Xuanwu Decoction (玄武湯) in the 『Shanghan Lun (傷寒論)』, there is no content focusing on Zhuniao decoction (朱鳥湯). Considering the consistent perspective of 『Shanghan Lun』, which recognizes the disease-syndrome and seeks prescriptions based on yin and yang thinking, this is very unusual. Therefore, in this study, it was revealed that the concept of 'Sishen Decoction (四神湯)' itself was a concept that emerged when the authors of 『Shanghan Lun』 established the 'eight-principles syndrome differentiation (八綱辨證)' system in their recognition and response to diseases-syndromes. Based on this, I considered the following possibilities: They were able to present Qinglong decoction, Baihu Decoction and Xuanwu decoction, as appropriate prescriptions for 'exterior cold excess syndrome (表寒實證)', 'interior heat deficiency syndrome (裏熱虛證)', and 'interior cold deficiency syndrome (裏熱實證)'. However, it is possible that the name of the prescription 'Zhuniao decoction' was not intentionally used, because it was not possible to provide an appropriate prescription for 'exterior cold excess syndrome (表熱實證)'.

미국 스탠다드 수학의 재조명 (Reconsidering of NCTM Standards)

  • Main stream of ’90s mathematics education in the U.S must be the NCTM Standards. Since it was published in 1989, much focus has put on it and numerous research has been tried to apply it to real mathematics classes. But there hasn't always good fame. Some schools have already mathematics. NCTM(1998), Standards and Principles for School Mathematics: Discussion Draft taken the curriculum based on it and recently the negative results have been exposed. Not a few parents, teachers and experts became to be worry about that. In this situation, I suppose it is worth to review the original purpose of Standards, look into the recent problems related to it's application and think of improvement or alternatives. This article mainly includes first two issues and particularily considers what problems are to have to be reconsidered in Korea. The following four are what I draw as problem: Basic operations; constructivism;texts and work books;trial and error strategy and group activity.

The Confinement Problem: 40 Years Later

  • The confinement problem was first noted four decades ago. Since then, a huge amount of efforts have been spent on defining and mitigating the problem. The evolution of technologies from traditional operating systems to mobile and cloud computing brings about new security challenges. It is perhaps timely that we review the work that has been done. We discuss the foundational principles from classical works, as well as the efforts towards solving the confinement problem in three domains: operating systems, mobile computing, and cloud computing. While common issues exist across all three domains, unique challenges arise for each of them, which we discuss.

  • The purpose of this study is to point out that the segment-based study on child phonological acquisition is not sufficient in accounting for the ever-changing dynamic development of child phonology and to attempt to explain child phonology in terms of syllable-based theory of phonology, one of various types of non -linear phonology which have been studied since the late 1970's. According to Gruber's observation. it is obvious that children perceive their own concept of syllable even at the early stage of babbling. In addition, the statistical data show that the CV-type syllable is most frequently used in child phonology. These evidences seem to suffice to conclude that the CV-type syllable is the most unmarked of all four core syllable types in the sense of Clements & Keyser(1983). Starting with this observation, it is further argued that in child phonology the markedness of syllable types increases in the order of CV, CVC, VC and V.

  • An informatization evaluation is becoming a major issue among vocational colleges, as the 21th century begins. This century is characterized as Knowledge and Information era. Thus it is popular for administrative organizations to use Information Technologies as major tool to innovate themselves. The main objective of this study is develop evaluation indexes on applications of information technologies for vocational colleges because they must operate their education services by using management principles. Four major indexes were recommended to evaluate their information environment of educational service as follows. 1. Strategic Information System 2. Environmental Factors of Information System 3. Informational Resources 4. Utilization of Information Technologies Each index has 4 variables to identify the level of informatization and every variable is consisted of several questions. Such an evaluation system will be applied for vocational colleges to know their own situation of IT application and to develop managerial strategies by using IT. This system also will be useful to compare you with your potential competitors and to find appropriate polices of IT application by measuring the indexes at different points of time.

뇌학습 원리에 기초한 조리교육을 위한 통합적 고찰 (An Integrational Approach for Culinary Education based on Brain-based Teaching Principle)

  • This study was conducted to explore the direction of culinary education based brain-based education with analysis of comprehensive research. Questionnaire was completed by frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis and regression analysis by using SPSS 21. The purpose of this study was to investigate the educational system for creative development through cooking sources and to develop brain-based learning theory, and thus to generate the characteristics and effects of the practice in culinary educational context. The basic principles of brain- based learning are brain plasticity, emotional brain, and ecological brain. Students need to be able to enrich their understanding of social interaction so that social brain's function will be activated through consistent and high-quality feedback. Likewise, students should be capable of collecting everything what they have learned. Defining main ideas and goal of the lesson, four factors were derived from development of competency, personality, application, and diversity. Regarding to the result of this study, the implications for the development of a brain-base program were suggested.
