  • Knowledge and technology resources are the most crucial sources for the achievement of sustainable development in competitive advantage. Meanwhile, few empirical studies have clarified the types of knowledge and technology resources that nonprofit organizations (NPOs) use and develop. This study aims to categorize knowledge and technology resources in NPOs that both researchers and practitioners can use to develop the nonprofit sector further. A qualitative research method was used for the study. Data were collected from 31 interviews with senior and founding members of NPOs in Thailand. Analysis of qualitative data identified five critical categories of knowledge resources: human resources, organizational practices, partnership or stakeholder involvement, operational practices, and other resources. This study also illustrates both internal and external technology resources, which are used in sample organizations. The study's findings contribute to developing a body of knowledge management literature related to the knowledge and technology resources of NPOs.

  • Matsumoto Makoto is regarded as founding father of the Japanese school of Finsler geometry because he established the Japanese Society of Finsler Geometry in 1968 and organized the Symposium every year since then. In this paper, we investigate how Matsumoto initiated the study of this topic leaping over geographical limit and how Yano Kentaro and Kawaguchi Akitsugu had affected Matsumoto in the formation of the Japanese school of Finsler geometry. We also take a view of the role of É. Cartan who invented the concept of the connection in early 20th century in this regard.

  • In recent, growing aged people in coupled with the increased senile dementia, Alzheimer's disease, has been a social interests to be cleared out. Alzheimer Disease(AD), first reported by Alios Alzheimer (1864-1915) in 1907, is a neurodegenrative disease. Nothing exact cause of AD is available by now, but in clinical founding ${\beta}$-amyloid peptide(A${\beta}$) and microtubule associated protein($\tau$ protein) is to involved in the disease, and the most important feature in AD is Known to induce chronic inflammation to neuron cell. • The maintenance of condenser main pipe is the key to achieve film-forming amine maintenance effectiveness. In this work, oxygen content, pH and temperature of the solution were controlled to simulate the condition of condenser main pipe, and magnetite coated carbon steel sample was prepared by pre-oxidization. CAM was used to characterize the hydrophobicity of film formed samples. Hydrophobic film was formed on pre-oxidized carbon steel samples when octadecylamine concentration reaches 20 mg/kg. SEM, EDS, EIS, and PD were used to characterize the influence of octadecylamine concentration on maintenance effectiveness. It was found that the maintenance effectiveness was enhanced and the corrosion rate was suppressed with the increase of octadecylamine concentration. FIB and TEM were used to detect the adsorbed octadecylamine film thickness founding that octadecylamine adsorbed onto the surface of pre-oxidized carbon steel by multi-layer adsorption mechanism.

  • This paper is to propose a curriculum of a subject of Enneagram which is to be open to develop key competency of university students. In the modern days of the 4th industrial revolution universities are being called for key competency-based education and innovation in education. Universities suggested various key competencies according to the university's founding philosophies. And they have been reorganizing the liberal arts curriculum in a way that it can reinforce key competencies of the students in the aspect of liberal arts education. In this paper, an example of C university which has 3 key competencies such as, citizenship, character, and creative intelligence was presented. Enneagram is a good candidate for developing self-development which is sub-competency of character.

  • This paper is a continuation of the study on the history of the Japanese school of Finsler geometry. We had studied on the birth of Japanese school of Finsler geometry. In this paper, we find out what motivated Japanese to embrace Finsler geometry and we collect the history and analyze trends of Japanese school of Finsler geometry since its founding by M. Matsumoto.

  • October 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society (JKNS). Staring as official journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society (KNS) in 1972, JKNS is a journal that is listed in the science citation index (SCI) and its impact factor has been steadily rising in recent years. The past history of JKNS was reviewed with a focus on important milestone, and the direction of future development is suggested.

  • Principal Fitted Component (PFC) is a semi-parametric sufficient dimension reduction (SDR) method, which is originally proposed in Cook (2007). According to Cook (2007), the PFC has a connection with other usual non-parametric SDR methods. The connection is limited to sliced inverse regression (Li, 1991) and ordinary least squares. Since there is no direct comparison between the two approaches in various forward regressions up to date, a practical guidance between the two approaches is necessary for usual statistical practitioners. To fill this practical necessity, in this paper, we newly derive a connection of the PFC to covariance methods (Yin and Cook, 2002), which is one of the most popular SDR methods. Also, intensive numerical studies have done closely to examine and compare the estimation performances of the semi- and non-parametric SDR methods for various forward regressions. The founding from the numerical studies are confirmed in a real data example.

  • In this paper, a total of 4413 place names are collected to analyze the origin and structure of place names from the two categories of nature and humanity. In this collection, there are slightly more natural place-names than humanistic ones, and hydrological ones account for the largest proportion of natural place-names, reflecting the geographical characteristics of Leizhou Peninsula surrounded by sea on three sides. Most of the place names handed down from the feudal period were natural ones. In addition, most of the place names produced after the founding of the People's Republic of China are mainly humanistic place names. In the phonetic aspect of place names, there are still quite a few ancient Vietnamese place names that can be remembered because of oral transmission. With the progress of cultural and economic development, the further development of place names will be dominated by humanistic place names.

  • The current paper discusses the two most widespread and contradictory educational philosophies of classic German Idealism and modern American pragmatism. Their perspectives of what is truth and what is the best way to distinguish the reasoning idealists from the experienced pragmatists. The implementations of Idealism and pragmatism have affected the education process for several ages and reflect various social changes. The role of schools, educators, environment, teachers, and learners are not the same in both philosophies. However, on reviewing the chronological transmission from Plato's Idealism to Dewey's pragmatism, the resemblances and differences are elaborated here with examples. Furthermore, how these philosophies helped founding advocators for perennialism, essentialism, progressivism, and reconstructionism.
