The paradigm of the use and management of natural resources is changing. Wise use of natural resources can be achieved by enhancing their conservation value and, at the same time, taking them as an opportunity for regional development. It leads to an idea of pursuing regional development by making good use of natural resources. In this paper, natural resources were classified as living species resources, ecosystem and landscape resources, and non-living resources. The resources were divided into 27 detailed analysis indices. The administrative boundaries of 165 municipalities in Korea were defined as spatial analysis units. Finally, a spatial database of natural resources was built. To classify the regional types, we conducted factor analyses with a detailed index of natural resources and a cluster analysis with the factor value. As the result of the factor analysis, six factors have been deduced as follows: forest resources, landscape resources, coastal ecology resources, inland water resources, landform resources, and ecology visit resources. In addition, the cluster analyses were conducted for the points of the factors drawn. The final classification consists of nine groups, and appropriate methods for each regional development have been suggested. Results of this study will contribute to providing fundamental materials for site selection and objective-setting for regional development policies and planning in consideration of natural resources.
The government is trying to secure reliability by raising the accuracy, objectivity, and transparency of the official price by promoting the reliability improvement plan of the official price and increasing the realization rate, but the Realization rate of Publicly Notified Individual Land Price is showing a big difference because the current market price is not fully reflected in the official price. Therefore, this study collected the actual transaction price reported to the RTMS in Wansan-gu, Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do and the individual official price of the KRAS and calculated the realization rate of publicly notified individual Land Price. SPSS 25.0 program was used for the empirical analysis of this study. The Dependent Variable was the realization rate of publicly notified individual Land Price, and Independent Variables, was six land characteristics items were selected, one-way ANOVA was conducted and post-test was conducted by Scheffe method. As a result of the analysis, average difference in realization rate of publicly notified individual Land Price was found in Residential areas, Commercial areas, and Farmland, Public land and Residential and commercia, Residential and Forest. Especially, it was found that the price of commercial area is higher than that of residential area and green area, and the price is less reflected in individual official land price.
To investigate the distribution of vascular plants growing at Mt. Guryong, we surveyed from March in 2016 to October in 2017. The flora of Mt. Guryong was classified as a total of 526 taxa comprising of 87 families, 298 genus, 449 species, 4 subspecies, 63 varieties, 10 forma. Among them, the endemic plants in Korea were investigated as 10 taxa of including Pseudostellaria coreana (Nakai) Ohwi. The Korean rare plants species were investigated as 16 taxa, among them degree of CR investigated as 1 taxa of Cypripedium macranthum Sw., VU investigated as 5 taxa of including Rhododendron micranthum Turcz., degree of LC investigated 9 taxa of including Clematis koreana Kom., degree of DD investigated 1 taxa of Adenophora grandiflora Nakai. Endemic plants were investigated as 14 taxa of including seudostellaria coreana (Nakai) Ohwi and The floristic special plants were a total of 84 taxa such as 2 taxa in degree V(in cluding Polypodium virginianum L.), 7 taxa in degree IV (including Anemone reflexa Steph. & Willd.), 21 taxa in degree III(including Celtis aurantiaca Nakai), 22 taxa in degree II (including Thelypteris phegopteris (L.) Sloss.) and 31 taxa in degree I (including Cimicifuga simplex (DC.) Turcz.) was carried out to provide basic data. The naturalized plants were investigated as 37 taxa of including Chenopodium ficifolium Smith., Thlaspi arvense L., Rumex crispus L. and the percentage of urbanization index was 11.53%, the naturalized ratio was 6.99% respectively.
The frequency and intensity of abnormal climate caused by climate change is increasing in Korea. Also, the amount of damage from disaster is increasing rapidly. The research on vulnerability assessment analyzes environmentally, socially and economically vulnerable indicators and is ongoing to reduce the intensity of damage and establish adaptation policies for climate change. Therefore, in this study, we assessed vulnerability using weighting value derived by the regression equation. There are 3 evaluation items : vulnerability assessment for farmland erosion to flood, vulnerability assessment for health to heat wave, vulnerability assessment for forest fire to drought. For this study, indicators for each sectors were selected and spatial data for each sectors were established using GIS program. Results showed that vulnerability to heat wave was more affected by climate factors. On the other hand, vulnerability to flood and drought was more affected by social-economic factors. Then, to analysis efficiency of the regression analysis, vulnerability result was compared between the existing vulnerability research with no weighting applied and the vulnerability research with the influence of weighting value derived by the regression. This study showed that the regression analysis is efficient to provide practical and feasible alternatives in terms of planning climate change adaptation policies and it is expected to be utilized for vulnerability assessment in the future.
Amid the recent growing social demand for wellness culture and healing tourism, I, through a literature survey and case study, reviewed the conditions of healing tourism in Gangwon-do as a destination of healing tourism, and examined the development project of Gangwon-do type healing tourism and commercialization of the wellness perspective. According to the survey, it was found that the Yeongdong area in Gangwon Province had excellent healing-based conditions in virtue of abundant natural resources, but it was found that it was necessary for local governments to cooperate in order to prevent overlapping investments and create synergy effects by connecting with one another as development contents or business items of healing tourism projects overlap or remain in the planning stage. In the case of Goseong-gun, which was reviewed as the main site, it has high potential as a silver-healing tour and if the County seeks a wellness merchandising strategy for each healing tourism target based on a therapy program linked with local specialized resources, and effectively links and specializes regional strengths in Gangwon-do's Yeongdong region, it is expected to become a regional success story of operating the development of the local tourism for silver and health-oriented tourists.
This study aims to analyze the characteristics of ventilation corridor and propose its utilization strategies in Jeonju city in order to discuss how to utilize urban ventilation corridors as a planning factor for reducing heat wave impact and fine particle pollution. For these purposes, cold air characteristics such as cold air flow and height of cold air in Jeonju area located in the Honam Jeongmaek were analyzed and major ventilation corridors were specified. Based on them, we proposed mountain management strategies for securing and utilizing ventilation corridors. We used KALM (Kaltluftabflussmodell), a cold air simulation model developed in Germany and identified both the cold air flow and the height of cold air layer generated during 6 hours at night. As a result, the cold air flow generated in the forests located in the northeast and east sides of the Jeonju city became clear and the height of cold air layer increased in the valley terrain and farmland areas with time. In particular, Jeonju City has an ideal structure of urban ventilation corridor. Based on the results, the area where the cold air generation is active was designated as the 'cold air conservation area', and the area requiring the management for the good cold air flow was as the 'cold air management area'. This study is expected to be used as basic data of policy making and research for reducing heat wave impact and fine particle pollution such as climate change adaptation policy and urban forest plans for ventilation corridor composition.
This study was carried out to investigate the vegetation of wetland and terrestrial lands in Jangdo wetland conserved area in Korea and to analyze the characteristics of the vegetation changes in the recent years. From the plant community, there were evergreen broad-leaved forests of the Machilus thunbergii, Castanopsis cuspidata, and Machilus thunbergii-Castanopsis cuspidata communities. Moreover, there were deciduous broad-leaved forests of the Salix koreensis, Mallotus japonicus, Mallotus japonicus-Pueraria thunbergiana and Celtis sinensis communities. Additionally, there were shrub forests of the Rosa multiflora-Rubus hirsutus, grassland of Molinia japonica-Miscanthus sacchariflorus and Miscanthus sacchariflorus-Imperata cylindrica communities, and plantation forest of the Pseudosasa japonica community. The area of the wetland vegetation (15%) was much narrower than that of the terrestrial land vegetation (85%). Comparing these results with those of the past 10 years, the wetland plant communities decreased by one-third and the proportion of neutral or dry plant communities increased. In order to mitigate landization succession of the wetland and maintain native wetland vegetation in this area, the expansion of the Salix koreensis community must be controlled to a suitable scale. In addition, it is urgently required to remove the invasive non-wetland plants, such as Pseudosasa japonica and Pueraria thunbergiana.
As endangered species are gradually increasing due to land development by humans, it is essential to secure sufficient protected areas (PAs) proactively. Therefore, this study checked priority conservation areas to select candidate PAs when considering the impact of land development. We determined the conservation priorities by analyzing four scenarios based on existing conservation areas and reflecting the development impact using MARXAN, the decision-making support software for the conservation plan. The development impact was derived using the developed area ratio, population density, road network system, and traffic volume. The conservation areas of endangered species were derived using the data of the appearance points of birds, mammals, and herptiles from the 3rd National Ecosystem Survey. These two factors were used as input data to map conservation priority areas with the machine learning-based optimization methodology. The result identified many non-PAs areas that were expected to play an important role conserving endangered species. When considering the land development impact, it was found that the areas with priority for conservation were fragmented. Even when both the development impact and existing PAs were considered, the priority was higher in areas from the current PAs because many road developments had already been completed around the current PAs. Therefore, it is necessary to consider areas other than the current PAs to protect endangered species and seek alternative measures to fragmented conservation priority areas.

The purposes of this study are to analyze the spatial composition of the outer garden of Soswaewon that appears in Gyeong-Ji Yang's "30 Poems of Soswaewon" and examine its significance and symbols. These poems by Gyeong-Ji Yang are important historical records that portray the appearance of Soswaewon and the space outside it at the end of the 17th century. Unlike "48 Poems of Soswaewon" or "Soswaewondo," these poems arenot limited to Soswaewon and its surroundings; theyalso include areas from the village entrance upwardto the peak of the mountain behind the village. These poems can be divided into three main parts. Jiseok-ri and Changam-dong in poems 1 and 2 provide first impressions of the village in which the main Soswaewon garden is located, whereas poems 3 to 8 and poems 10 to 12 describe the space inside Soswaewon. Poems 13 to 30 depict the beautiful scenery around the outer garden of Soswaewon. In general, about 30% of the compilation in "30 Poems of Soswaewon" celebrates the inner Soswaewon, and the remaining 70% depicts the scenery around Soswaewon (i.e., views of the outer garden). It is presumed that Gyeong-Ji Yang employed this structure to achieve some type of order. Between the "48 Poems of Soswaewon" - also describing Soswaewon - and "Soswaewondo," which is a woodprint drawing of Soswaewon, "30 Poems of Soswaewon" offers the widest coverage of Soswaewon. Compared to "48 Poems of Soswaewon," which addresses the scene inside Soswaewon, new buildings such as the Jaeweoldang, Buhweondang, and Hancheonsa appear in "30 Poems of Soswaewon." Thus, the latter covers a much wider range. Chimgye Munbang - Gwangpunggak, Yangdandongo - Aeyangdang, Byeongseogjuggeun - Jajukchong, etc. are mentioned in both compilations. The use of a wide range of natural objects in these 30 poems, including mountains, birds, and the sky (instead of trees and flowers), shows that the author perceived Soswaewon as an area with a much higher and wider view than that of a typical living space. Moreover, natural regression ideologies, or seclusion ideologies, are evident.
In this paper, spatially-adaptive denormalization (SPADE) based U-Net is proposed to detect changes by using high-resolution satellite images. The proposed network is to preserve spatial information using SPADE. Change detection methods using high-resolution satellite images can be used to resolve various urban problems such as city planning and forecasting. For using pixel-based change detection, which is a conventional method such as Iteratively Reweighted-Multivariate Alteration Detection (IR-MAD), unchanged areas will be detected as changing areas because changes in pixels are sensitive to the state of the environment such as seasonal changes between images. Therefore, in this paper, to precisely detect the changes of the objects that consist of the city in time-series satellite images, the semantic spatial objects that consist of the city are defined, extracted through deep learning based image segmentation, and then analyzed the changes between areas to carry out change detection. The semantic objects for analyzing changes were defined as six classes: building, road, farmland, vinyl house, forest area, and waterside area. Each network model learned with KOMPSAT-3A satellite images performs a change detection for the time-series KOMPSAT-3 satellite images. For objective assessments for change detection, we use F1-score, kappa. We found that the proposed method gives a better performance compared to U-Net and UNet++ by achieving an average F1-score of 0.77, kappa of 77.29.
