At the present stage, the main directions of the professional position of a specialist in the implementation of English-language Education are to improve and spread the practice of learning languages throughout a person's life by involving information, communication and digital technologies in the educational process. Computerization of the educational process in Higher Education Institutions is considered as one of the first and most promising areas for improving the quality of education in Higher Education Institutions. The necessity of ensuring timely training and retraining of specialists of various profiles (in particular teachers) on the effective use of domestic and foreign electronic resources with the help of modern information technologies for the implementation of the professional position of a future specialist in a foreign-language environment is noted. The main goal of teaching a foreign language (the formation of students' communicative competence, which means mastering the language as a means of intercultural communication) is defined. The types of speech activity that cover the content of teaching a foreign language are highlighted. The main types of assessment in a foreign language are shown - current (non-classroom), thematic, semester, annual assessment and final state certification. The task of the teacher is drawn, which is to create conditions for practical language acquisition for each student, to choose such teaching methods by means of information technologies that would allow each student to show their activity, their creativity; to activate the cognitive activity of the student in the process of learning a foreign language.

The Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale(Horwitz et al., 1986) and the Classroom Environment Scale(Moos & Tricket, 1974) were administered to 434 middle school students in Daegu. Data were analyzed by Cronbach's $\alpha$, t-test, and Pearson's correlation using the SPSS program. Results on anxiety showed no gender differences between male and female students but $9^{th}$ graders reported more anxiety than $7^{th}$ graders. Two of the nine classroom environment subscales showed differences between perceptions of male and female students, and there were significant differences between $7^{th}$ and $9^{th}$ graders. Foreign language anxiety was correlated with perceived classroom environment. This finding suggests the importance of the psychological environment between the English teacher and students for successful language education.

Ubiquitous learning has aroused great interest and is becoming a new way for foreign language education in today's society. However, how to increase the learners' initiative and their community cohesion is still an issue that deserves more profound research and studies. Emotional intelligence can help to detect the learner's emotional reactions online, and therefore stimulate his interest and the willingness to participate by adjusting teaching skills and creating fun experiences in learning. This is, actually the new concept of smart education. Based on the previous research, this paper concluded a neural mechanism model for analyzing the learners' emotional characteristics in ubiquitous environment, and discussed the intelligent monitoring and automatic recognition of emotions from the learners' speech signals as well as their behavior data by multi-agent system. Finally, a framework of emotional intelligence system was proposed concerning the smart foreign language education in ubiquitous learning.

The purpose of this paper is to explore how the Confucius Institute Chinese international promotion could better promote the development of China's foreign trade, by analyzing the distribution of the Confucius Institute worldwide, based on the theory of language economics, using SWOT analysis to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the internal environment, opportunities and challenges of the external environment of Chinese international promotion of Confucius Institute. The following findings were gathered: as a language teaching institution and information exchange platform, Confucius Institute has the ability to share trade information and increase trade opportunities; to improve cultural identity and reduce transaction costs; to promote cultural communication and integration, and drive the development of related industries. The internal disadvantages were mainly reflected in the mismatch between the global regional distribution structure of Confucius Institutes, and the economic and trade structure, such as, the asymmetry between language, culture output, and demand. In addition, the management mechanism was not perfect. External opportunities were mainly new opportunities brought by economic globalization, cultural diversity, and the development of the Belt and Road initiative. External challenges were mainly influenced by the China threat theory and the fierce cultural competition among countries. The corresponding countermeasures were put forward based on the advantages of the platform and grasping the external opportunities: improving the quality of operation and speeding up the localization process; respecting cultural differences and realizing cultural common learning; seeking multilateral cooperation and enhancing the capacity for independent development.

영어 교육 전문가 R. Ellis를 비롯한 다수의 외국어학습연구자의 연구에 따르면, 외국어를 학습자의 실제상황에서 반복적으로 학습함으로써 영어의 실제성을 높이는 학습 방법이 효과적이며 중요한 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 상황인식 서비스가 접목된 외국어 학습 서비스를 제안함으로써 영어 학습의 실제성을 높이는 외국어 학습 콘텐츠의 개발을 모색한다. 이와 같은 접근은 실제 환경에서 무의식인 외국어 습득을 돕는 디지털 교육 콘텐츠에 대한 연구와 실시간 다중 센서 데이터를 기반으로 학습자의 경험적 특성을 분석하는 연구에 기반 한다.

EPS-TOPIK is a test of Korean proficiency which is enforced at the level of Korean government for the selection of competent foreign workers. Therefore, it must ensure validity and reliability, and practicability as a language assessment tool. For seeking a way of developing EPS-TOPIK, in this paper, the current state of EPS-TOPIK was investigated based upon the materials published by the Korean government, and the questions of EPS-TOPIK were analysed. Together with this, newspaper articles both in Korea and in foreign countries were also analyzed, and the directors of the EPS center abroad were interviewed. According to the survey results, as expected, the local environment of Korean education is poor in a number of ways to improve the Korean communication skills of foreign workers, as well as to prepare the EPS-TOPIK. To improve the efficiency of the EPS-TOPIK and to enhance the Korean communication skills of foreign workers, the Korean language institutions including the King Sejong Institute, which are in charge of the Korean language education should closely cooperate with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, which is responsible for all of the influx of foreign workers.

이 연구는 가상현실 에이전트 외국어 강사를 활용한 외국어 학습 효과를 검증하는 것을 목표로 한다. 외국어 학습맥락을 고려해 가상현실 에이전트를 원어민과 비원어민으로 구분해 이를 실험자 간 요인으로, 에이전트의 역할은 교사와 판매원으로 나누어 실험자 내 요인으로 설정한 후, 몰입형 가상환경 콘텐츠를 직접 개발하고, 2×2 혼합요인설계를 하여 실험을 진행했다. 자발적으로 참여한 72명의 대학생을 대상으로 실험을 한 결과, 학습만족감, 기억, 회상에서 에이전트의 원어민 여부와 역할간 상호작용 효과가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났으나, 학습자신감, 프레즌스는 상호작용 효과와 주효과 모두에서 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 가상환경에서의 맥락적 학습이 학습 효과와 만족감을 증진한다는 결과와 에이전트의 역할이 학습자의 기억에 영향력을 미친다는 결과는 가상현실 에이전트 외국어 강사를 활용한 외국어 학습 효과의 유효성을 증명한 것으로, 가상현실 에이전트를 활용한 다양한 처치 결과가 학습자의 인지 및 정서적 반응에 긍정적 효과를 줄 수 있다는 중요한 이론적, 실증적 함의를 제공한다.

As the number of ships and goods shipped by marine transportation increases, almost all shipping companies adopted foreign crews in order to overcome lack of seafarers and be competitive for manning cost. Thus, these days it is inevitable to work with foreign crews aboard ships, but there occur many marine accidents due to language barriers and communication problems under multicultural and multilingual shipboard environments. In order to resolve troubles resulting from different languages, reduce miscommunication risks, and make working on ships safe and efficient, this study recognized the current status of ships with mixed crews, analyzed marine accidents caused by communication problems not only in Korea but also in other countries using analytical methodologies. Additionally, existing hazards affecting miscommunication were identified and risk of miscommunication was quantitatively evaluated while offering suggestions and future forecasts. Consequently, in this study we suggested that fundamental dialogues are to be necessarily educated on the ships with foreign crews so as to reduce the language barrier and risk of miscommunication. Furthermore, a standard maritime Korean language program and manual targeting Korean coastal vessels would be developed in the next step.

대학 교육에서 외국어 교육 중요성의 증대와 아울러 대단위 강좌에 대한 효율적인 온라인 외국어 평가 및 학습시스템의 도입이 절실히 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 대단위 외국어 강좌에 대하여 온라인 평가가 가능할 뿐만 아니라 개인별 능력에 맞춘 학습기능과 진단기능을 갖춘 평가 및 학습 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템의 사용은 대단위 강좌에서 시험 평가에 따른 시공간의 효율적 활용을 가능하게 하고 강사와 분반에 관계없이 모든 학생들에게 동일한 수준의 교과 진행을 가능하게 하여 강의의 질 향상에도 기여한다.

2000년대 이후 국내 외국인 유학생은 크게 증가하였다. 2010년대 후반 정부의 고등교육 국제화 전략으로 인해 2019년 현재 외국인 유학생 수는 14만 명이 되었으며, 2023년에는 20만 명에 이를 전망이다. 우리 사회의 국제화와 인구절벽의 사회적 문제 앞에 외국인 유학생의 수가 증가하고 있는 것은 상당히 고무적인 일이며, 앞으로 이들의 행복한 유학생활은 상당히 중요한 문제가 되었다. 최근 한국에서 유학하는 베트남 유학생 수가 증가하고 있는데, 이들의 행복한 유학생활에 대해 관심을 가질 필요가 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 베트남 유학생들의 행복한 유학생활을 위한 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 한국 사회에 유입되고 있는 외국인 유학생들도 우리 사회의 한 구성원으로 인식하고 행복한 유학생활을 할 수 있도록 생활·경제, 복지, 교육 등의 측면에서 함께 노력해 가야 할 것이다.
