  • Objectives : The focus of the review was laid on differences in research pertaining to thread embedding acupuncture between domestic and foreign journals. Methods : We collected 53 Korean articles on thread embedding acupuncture study from 4 Korean article searching sites, and 80 foreign articles from Pubmed. We analyzed the number of the theses according to the publication year, study method, journal, and subject. Results : A total number of 134 thread embedding acupuncture articles were categorized as 100 clinical trials, 14 experimental papers, and 19 literature reviews. Of the collected clinical trials, 55 were case studies, 6 were CCTs and 39 were RCTs. The domestic clinical trials were comprised of 36 case studies, 1 CCT, and 2 RCTs, and foreign clinical trials were comprised of 19 case studies, 5 CCTs, and 37 RCTs. Although only 12 of the 39 domestic clinical trials exclusively treated thread embedding acupuncture to the experimental group, 38 out of 61 foreign clinical trials undertook thread embedding acupuncture as the sole treatment. While the 2 domestic RCTs research had no significant evidence that the experimental group was different from the control group, the experimental group demonstrated better responses than the control group in 31 of the 37 foreign RCT studies. Conclusions : Studies on thread embedding acupuncture are more intensively studied in the foreign field in comparison to the domestic field. Referring to the results from the foreign thread embedding acupuncture studies, domestic use of thread embedding acupuncture should be expanded. Also, more refined research needs to be conducted in the domestic field in order for the Koran medicine to lead the thread embedding acupuncture. This study is limited in that the literature search in the foreign journals were restricted.

The methods of this study are undertaken by literature review and design trend analysis. For the design trend analysis, in the case of domestic cases, 209 pictures from 7 brands, and in the case of foreign cases, 870 pictures from 10 brands are being chosen. In terms of analysis criteria, the colors, patterns, lengths and images of both the domestic and foreign socks are being compared. As a result, among the fashion foreign socks, more than 4 colors are the most common, and dark & dark grayish, strong & deep color tones are the most popular. Also, the stylized, geometrical patterns, and casual, cute and unique images are generally used. In the case of domestic fashion socks, 2 colors are the most common with vivid, strong & deep color tones as the most popular. • This study is aimed to investigate the effects of foreign exchange rates on stock market returns. For the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and Korea, the cross-correlation precedence of foreign exchange rate on stock market is found in the case of Germany and Korea. But that of stock market is not observed in any case. We performed three kinds of causality and exogeneity test of Granger test, Sims test and Geweke-Meese-Dent test. The analyses on the full period show the time-lag causal, exogeneous relation of foreign exchange rates with Granger, Sims and GMD test for Korea. The United Kingdom presents the significance with Granger and Sims test while Germany reveals the time-lag relation with Granger and GMD test. When we divide the period into two parts with the Louvre Accord, the first part give the less degree of time-lag relation. But in the second period the three kinds of causality and exogeneity test propose consistent time-lag relation with foreign exchange rates on stock markets for the United Kingdom and Korea with the three test methods. And Granger's test prove German foreign exchange market have a time-lag relation on stock market.

  • Purpose -This paper is to study the process of the negative effects of Sino-foreign joint ventures, hoping to find out an effective path in which local enterprises can avoid the risks in the utilization of foreign capital, and ultimately achieve independent innovation. Research design, data, and methodology -The outflow of assets, the loss of local brands and the "technology hollowing-out" problem brought by joint ventures is becoming more and more serious. Based on conflict analysis graph model, this paper takes Yuhuan joint venture as an example to identify the conflict problem in Sino-foreign joint ventures. Results -The results of the stability analysis show that establishing joint venture cannot really realize the introduction of technology because the technology is fully controlled by the foreign part. So when introducing foreign capital, local enterprises should participate in R&D and master the initiative. Conclusions - Local enterprises should pay attention to patent containment and technology blockade of multinationals. Domestic enterprises should try to protect state-owned assets and local brands in Sino-foreign joint ventures. Independent innovation is the most effective strategy for the development of enterprises in China.

  • Unlike the traditional belief that knowledge flows along the formal reporting procedures, recent social network research has reported the importance of informal social networks which may play a critical role as the real knowledge conduits. In fact, as a complementary approach of utilizing knowledge management systems (KMSs), many firms have focused on managing informal knowledge flow through which to acquire and transfer valuable knowledge in a fast and effective way. In a case of global companies that have newly developed foreign branches or subsidiaries, due to cultural or institutional differences and lack of understanding of knowledge management and its benefits, they often have difficulties in activating knowledge sharing in local branches. In these situations, diagnosing organizational knowledge flow through SNA can be a first step to solve the problems. Therefore, in this paper, I report on the result of case study on a foreign branch of "A" global company by identifying organizational knowledge paths. Based on the results of the diagnosis, some implications and insights for building knowledge management (KM) strategy specified for a newly developed foreign branch will also be discussed.
