NACA0015 익형의 압력항력 감소를 위한 인공신경망 기반의 피드백 유동 제어 (Feedback Flow Control Using Artificial Neural Network for Pressure Drag Reduction on the NACA0015 Airfoil)

  • 본 연구에서는 실속 받음각 근처에 발생하는 익형 위의 유동박리를 억제하기 위하여 인공신경망 기반의 피드백 유동제어를 NACA0015 익형에 수치적으로 적용하였다. 익형 위 박리영역 크기의 축소화라는 제어 목표를 달성하기 위해 익형의 박리 지점 근처에 인위적 외란(Blowing & Suction) 제어 신호를 적용하였다. 유동의 운동을 나타내는 시스템 모델링 단계에서 압력데이터에 적합직교분해(Proper Orthogonal Decomposition)를 적용하여 유동제어에 필요한 운동 모드를 추출하고 유동의 특성을 분석하였다. 분해된 모드를 기반으로 NARX(Nonlinear AutoRegressive Exogenous) 구조의 인공 신경망을 학습하여 유동의 운동을 나타내도록 하였으며, 최종적으로 피드백 제어루프에 작동시켰다. 예측된 제어신호를 CFD 해석에 적용하였으며 제어 유/무에 따른 공력특성을 분석하고 익형 주변의 고유 공간모드의 변화를 비교하여 제어 효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 진행된 피드백 제어는 약 29%의 압력항력 감소효과를 보여주었으며, 이는 익형 뒷전의 큰 압력회복으로 인해 나타나는 것을 확인하였다.

Time delay study for semi-active control of coupled adjacent structures using MR damper

  • The pounding phenomenon in adjacent structures happens in severing earthquakes that can cause great damages. Connecting neighboring structures with active and semi-active control devices is an effective method to avoid mutual colliding between neighboring buildings. One of the most important issues in control systems is applying online control force. There will be a time delay if the prose of producing control force does not perform on time. This paper proposed a time-delay compensation method in coupled structures control, with semi-active Magnetorheological (MR) damper. This method based on Newmark's integration is adopted to mitigate the time-delay effect. In this study, Lyapunov's direct approach is employed to compute demanded voltage for MR dampers. Using Lyapunov's direct algorithm guarantees the system stability to design a controller based on feedback. Because of the strong nonlinearity of MR dampers, the equation of motion of coupled structures becomes an involved equation, and it is impossible to solve it with the common time step methods. In present paper modified Newmark-Beta integration based on the instantaneous optimal control algorithm, used to solve the involved equation. In this method, the response of a coupled system estimated base on optimal control force. Two MDOF structures with different degrees of freedom are finally considered as a numeric example. The numerical results show, the Newmark compensation is an efficient method to decrease the negative effect of time delay in coupled systems; furthermore, instantaneous optimal control algorithm can estimate the response of structures suitable.

  • Tangible interface can be understood as a newly defined concept, which can provide an effective and seamless interaction between the human as a subjective existence and the cyberspace as an objective existence. Tactile sensation is essential for many exploration and manipulation tasks in the tangible space. In this paper, we suggest the design of an integrated tactile sensor-display system that provides both of sensing and feedback with kinesthetic force, pressure distribution, vibration and slip/stretch. A new tactile sensor with PDVF strips and display system with bimorph actuators has been developed and integrated by developed signal processing algorithm. In the scenario of haptic navigation in the tangible space, tactile feedback system is successfully experimented.

  • The application of a feedback control system in robotic arc welding is becoming more and more demanding than ever before. This requirement arises from the fact that robotic arc welding process needs no manual operator to monitor and manipulate the process parameters and hence a means of controlling the quality of the robotic arc welding process becomes apparent. Arc force sensor employed in this research to monitor the bead geometry of the arc welding process, A relationship between the bead dimension and the arc force distributions was established. Experimental configuration for measurement of arc force was used to quantify the changes in the arc force distributions of the plate being welded. Arc force sensor mounted at the end of the robot wrist was employed to measure the arc force applied to the weld. The sensor information was the used to establish a relationship between welding current and arc force. Arc force sensor have shown to be on of the most sophisticated technique to monitor perturbations that occurred during arc welding process.

  • In teleoperation field robotic system such as hydraulically actuated robotic excavator, the maneuverability and convenience is the most important part in the operation of robotic excavator. Particularly the force information is important in dealing with digging and leveling operation in the teleoperated excavator. Excavators are also subject to a wide variation of soil-tool interaction forces. This paper presents a new force reflecting joystick in a velocity-force type bilateral teleoperation system. The master system is electrical joystick and the slave system is hydraulically actuated cylinder with linear position sensor.   • The control of diamond turning is usually achieved through a laser-interferometer feedback of slide position. The limitation of this control scheme is that the feedback signal does not account for additional dynamics of the tool post and the material removal process. If the tool post is rigid and the material removal process is relatively static, then such a non-collocated position feedback control scheme may surfice. However, as the accuracy requirement gets tighter and desired surface cnotours become more complex, the need for a direct tool-tip sensing becomes inevitable. The physical constraints of the machining process prohibit any reasonable implementation of a tool-tip motion measurement. It is proposed that the measured force normal to the face of the workpiece can be filtered through an appropriate admittance transfer function to result in the estimated dapth of cut. This can be compared to the desired depth of cut to generate the adjustment control action in additn to position feedback control. In this work, the design methodology on the admittance model-based control with a conventional controller is presented. The recursive least-squares algorithm with forgetting factor is proposed to identify the parameters and update the cutting process in real time. The normal cutting forces are measured to identify the cutting dynamics in the real diamond turning process using the precision dynamoneter. Based on the parameter estimation of cutting dynamics and the admitance model-based nanodynamic control scheme, simulation results are shown.

  • We proposed a concept of a desktop micro device factory for visually servoed teleoperated microassembly assisted by a virtual reality (VR) interface. It is composed of two micromanipulators equipped with micro tools operating under a light microscope. First a manipulator, control method for the micro object to follow a planned trajectory in pushing operation is proposed undo. vision based-position control. Then, we present the cooperation control strategy of the micro handling operation under vision-based force control integrating a sensor fusion framework approach. A guiding-system based on virtual micro-world exactly reconstructed from the CAD-CAM databases of the real environment being considered is presented for the imprecisely calibrated micro world. Finally, some experimental results of microassembly tasks performed on millimeter-sized components are provided.

  • In this paper, control of a planar two-link structurally flexible robotic manipulator executing unconstrained and constrained maneuvers is considered. The dynamic model, which is obtained by using the extended Hamilton's principle and the Galerkin criterion, includes the impact force generated during the transition from unconstrained to constrained segment of the robotic task. A method is presented to obtain the linearized equations of motion in Cartesian space for use in designing the control system. The linear quadratic Gaussian with loop transfer recovery (LQG/LTR) design methodology is exploited to design a robust feedback control system that can handle modeling errors and sensor noise, and operate on Cartesian space trajectory errors. The LQG/LTR compensator together with a feedforward loop is used to control the flexible manipulator. Simulated results are presented for a numerical example.

  • The external force disturbance is the one of the main causes that deteriorate the performance of the magnetic suspension. Thus, this paper develops a fuzzy estimator for gain scheduling control of magnetic suspension system suffering from the unknown disturbance. The propose fuzzy estimator computes the disturbance injected to the plant the gain scheduled controller generates the corresponding stabilizing control input associated with estimated disturbance. In the simulation results we confirm the novelty of the proposed control scheme comparing with the other method using a feedback linearization.

  • The objective of this paper is to design a force feedback controller for bilateral control of a master-slave manipulator system. In a bilateral control system. the motion of the master device is followed by the save one. while the force applied to the slave is reflected on the master. In this paper, a proposed controller applied to the system. Adding a switching control term to control input. robustness is improved. Also the knowledge of the system dynamics is not needed. The computer simulation results show the performance of the proposed controller.
