  • Recently on IoT environment, there is necessary of protected network, which is only specific user can access it. Applying OAuth protocol on IoT, it can be easier to construct network authentication system, but it is hard to construct protected network authentication system. And there is weakness of OAuth protocol, which is easily attacked by sniffing Token by attacker. So, it is necessary to secondary authentication for OAuth. In ultimate IoT, the fog computing is essential. Fog computing is extension of cloud that enables networking not only in core system but also in edge system and communication node to node. Strength of fog computing is location awareness, support for mobility, and so on. If authentication in fog computing uses this strength, it can be more specialized in Fog Computing. So, in secondary Authentication, using Cyber-Physical-Social System will increase convenience of user than using existing authentication system, such as authentication certificate, id/password and group key, which is inconvenient for user. This study is about authentication based Cyber-Physical-Social System.

  • The interferometric fiber optic gyroscopes (FOGs) are well known as sensors of rotation, which are based on Sagnac effect, and have been under development for a number of years to meet a wide range of performance requirements. This paper describes the development of open-loop FOG and digital signal processing techniques implemented on FPGA. Our primary goal was to obtain intermediate accuracy (pointing grade) with a good bias stability (0.22deg) and scale factor stability, extremely low angle random walk (0.07deg) and significant cost savings by using a single mode fiber. A secondary goal is to design all digital FOG signal processing algorithms with which the SNR at the digital demodulator output is enhanced substantially due to processing gain. The Cascaded integrator bomb(CIC) type of decimation filter only requires adders and shift registers, low cost processors which has low computing power still can used in this all digital FOG processor.

  • The sea fog occurs frequently in the west coast of Korea in spring and summer. This study focused on the detection of sea fog using MODIS satellite images. We presented a method for sea fog detection based on the homogeneity level between low stratus and sea fog, which was that the top surface of sea fog had a homogeneous aspect while that of low stratus had a heterogenous aspect. The results showed that the both homogeneity of $11{\mu}m$ brightness temperature (BT) and brightness temperature difference (BTD, $BT_{3.7{\mu}m}-BT_{11{\mu}m}$) were available to discriminate sea fog from low stratus. The frequency of difference between BT in fog/stratus area and BT in clear area provided reasonable result. In addition, the threshold values of standard deviations of BT and BTD in the fog/stratus area were applicable to differentiate fog from low stratus.

  • LED lighting, considered to be a new growth industry, has attracted a great deal of attention due to its higher illumination and longer life time than existing light sources. In this study, high-efficiency and long-life LED fog lamps for automobiles were developed, which can substitute the existing 27 W halogen fog lamps for a used car market. For this purpose, the number of LED modules, the body, heat sink, and the output of the fog lamp were first optimized through a numerical analysis. Then, a 10 W-class LED fog lamp was prototyped based on the optimized numerical model, and the performance of the fog lamp was successfully verified through the experiments.

  • According to the aviational definition, the fog is an obscuration phenomenon when prevailing visibility becomes less than 1,000m. Fog defined above causes so many aviation traffic problems like detour, flight delay and cancel. Therefore this study investigated quantitatively the fog effects on flight operation using flight delay and cancel statistic data during last four years from 1st Jul. 2001 to 30th Jun. 2005 at the Incheon Int'l Airport. The results of this study show that the hazardous meteorological condition is a important cause of flight delay and cancel, especially fog phenomenon. And it is expected that the results of this study give us the necessary and importance of fog prediction at the Incheon Int'l Airport.

  • We present a fog generation algorithm in 2D images. The proposed algorithm provides a scattering model for the approximated calculation of fog density. The scattering model needs parameters of distance and altitude information. However, 2D images do not include that information, so that we calculate them from the depth information generated in an interactive manner, and estimate the scattering factor by using the scattering model. Then we generate fog effect on an input image using the scattering factor by distance-oriented selection blur and color blending. With the algorithm, we can easily create the fog-effected images and fog generated animation from 2D images.

  • Fatigue tests under acid fog environment were carried out to investigate the effect of acid fog on the corrosion fatigue strength of SM55C in comparison with distilled water. Main results obtained are as follows. The fatigue strength of SM55C under acid fog environment are remarkably decreased as compared with that of distilled water specimen. The corrosive effect of acid fog on fatigue strength are more serious under low stress amplitude level than under high stress amplitude level, and this leads to continuous reduction of fatigue strength. Under acid fog environment in early stage of crack growth. because the corrosive components dissolve the crack face offensively. the unstable fracture surface appears. But, the stable corrosion precipitation and products layer are formed on the fracture surface in accordance with the time pass.

  • In this paper, we propose a day and night fog detection algorithm that is not affected by lighting conditions. First, we present the definitions and the extraction methods of fog features in daytime and nighttime environments, respectively. We then propose the fog detection algorithm using a neural network from the fog features. A set of experiments has been conducted with images taken at various environments, and the average recall of the proposed algorithm is 97.5%.

  • In this paper, the silicon rubber insulator for transmission line was experimented for 1,000 hours aging test in salt-fog condition. To evaluate and examine the aging properties of silicon rubber insulator for test, the leakage current of surface was measured. Also hydrophobicity and scanning electron microscopy were compared with initial and aged sample respectively Above results, we can confirm that the surface properties of silicon rubber insulator easily aged by salt-fog condition.

  • We propose a no-reference perceptual fog density and visibility prediction model in a single foggy scene based on natural scene statistics (NSS) and perceptual "fog aware" statistical features. Unlike previous studies, the proposed model predicts fog density without multiple foggy images, without salient objects in a scene including lane markings or traffic signs, without supplementary geographical information using an onboard camera, and without training on human-rated judgments. The proposed fog density and visibility predictor makes use of only measurable deviations from statistical regularities observed in natural foggy and fog-free images. Perceptual "fog aware" statistical features are derived from a corpus of natural foggy and fog-free images by using a spatial NSS model and observed fog characteristics including low contrast, faint color, and shifted luminance. The proposed model not only predicts perceptual fog density for the entire image but also provides local fog density for each patch size. To evaluate the performance of the proposed model against human judgments regarding fog visibility, we executed a human subjective study using a variety of 100 foggy images. Results show that the predicted fog density of the model correlates well with human judgments. The proposed model is a new fog density assessment work based on human visual perceptions. We hope that the proposed model will provide fertile ground for future research not only to enhance the visibility of foggy scenes but also to accurately evaluate the performance of defog algorithms.
