Purpose: Space planning to cope with the changing function of the hospital is essential in hospital architecture. In order to do so, it is vital that the paradigm shifts from hospital design focused on purpose toward hospital design focused on system. Not only space planning but also air-conditioning plan, which is most closely related to the operation and maintenance of hospital facilities; and the environment of hospital users, should be able to respond to changes with ease. Thus this study is to provide fundamental data of the air-conditioning plan for the hospital design focused on system by analyzing the concept and characteristics of the air-conditioning plan in the recent hospital architecture planning. Results: As a result of this study, in the air conditioning plan for the hospital architecture planning, the most important are the location relation among the departments the air handling unit room and the air handling unit manage and the air conditioning zoning setting according to the air conditioning system. Therefore, for the hospital architecture planning focused on system, it is necessary to establish the air conditioning setting that can accommodate changeable environment of departments and accordingly the appropriate area range of the air conditioning zoning and the plan for the location of the air handling unit should be considered. Implications: Thereby aims to provide fundamental data on air handling unit zoning planning in the hospital architecture planning.
This study aims to define concepts on Hospital Design Focused on System to respond to the development and change by comparing general design methods of the General hospital architecture in Korea and analyze elements suitable to concepts on Hospital Design Focused on System in the General hospital architecture through examining the transformation of General hospitals in Korea. Essential architectural elements composing the Hospital Design Focused on System are as follows. First of all, the elements which can react to development of hospital architecture are HOSPITAL STREET and site situation. Secondly, core, equipment shaft, column, MAIN STREET and air handling unit room are elements of great importance as the location of these elements determines the dimensions and scale of the space which hospital functions are assigned to. Third, the area in regard to the rate of change is formed by MAIN STREET, which is the primary element, and envelope. The depth between MAIN STREET and envelope is defined as space depth. The flexible area is determined depending on this space depth and thus how to set up this flexible area determines the degree of readiness in responding to the change.

In the paper, the system loss sensitivity index that implies the incremental system loss with respect to the change of bus power is derived using optimization technique. The index λ reaches $\infty$ at critical loading point and can be applied to actual power systems for following purposes. 1) Evaluation of system voltage stability 2)Optimal investment of reactive power focused on minimizing system loss and maximizing system voltage stability 3)Optimal re-location of reactive power focused on minimizing system loss and maximizing system voltage stability 4)Optimal load shedding in case of severe system contingency focused on minimizing system loss and maximizing system voltage stability. Case studies for each application have proved their effectiveness.
With a focused laser beam, we make a microscopic change on a thin film, and organize the overall system that can observe the change with a microscope. This system utilizes the energy of a laser beam which is focused by a simple lense system. That is a laser beam which has its waist at working distance of a lense. The microscopic change induced by the energy of laser beam focused through a lense can be observed in real time. The experiment with this system shows that the 10mW He-Ne 632.8nm laser can change the black vinyl instantaneously.
In this paper, we present a primitive system design of a super multi-view(SMV) 3-D display system based on a focused light array(FLA) concept using reflective vibrating scanner array(ViSA). The parallel beam scanning using a vibrating scanner array is performed by moving left and right an array of curvature-compensated mirrors or diamond-ruled reflective grating attached to a vibrating membrane. The parallel laser beam scanner array can replace the polygon mirror scanner which has been used in the SMV 3-D display system based on the focused light array(FLA) concept proposed by Kajiki at TAO(Telecommunications) Advancement Organization). The proposed system has great advantages in the sense that it requires neither huge imaging optics nor mechanical scanning pals. Some mathematical analyses and fundamental limitations of the proposed system are presented. The proposed vibrating scanner array, after some modifications and refinements, may replace polygon mirror-based scanners in the near future.
Some concepts and methods for information system as a part of CIM system in ship production are proposed in this paper. The characteristics and problems focused on product design and production planning and control are analyzed. A conceptual framework for CIM in ship production is presented, which is focused on a product model for information system. A methodology for the practical use of information for each managerial class is also presented.
The objectives of this study were to analysis the nutrient cycles of agricultural by-products. The region, in which agricultural by-products are circulated for use within the agroecosystem for minimizing the input of artificial nutrients as well as generation of wastes, and where ecologically industrial diversity is formed, was defined as the regional agriculture focused on eco-industrial approach. Plan in stages for promoting ahead with the regional agriculture focused on eco-industrial approach is as follows: First of all, "The Consultation Body for Circulating & Using By-products" should be formed. Secondly, usage of agricultural by-products is identified to select the facilities of recycling and its location including the type and amount. Thirdly, the facilities for recycling of resources and infrastructure are installed. Finally, the facilities for recycling and resource circulation system within the area are efficiently managed.

Purpose: Growth and change are the most important things in planning of hospital architecture. It is especially necessary for countless changes taken place since the hospital opens to be adapted to the planning of hospital architecture phase. The space depth in the hospital serves a very crucial role in accepting these changes. The purpose of this study is to provide basic data necessary to space depth planning to prepare for change through analyzing space depth's change in hospital architecture chronologically. Methods:: The method of this study is analyzing space depth's change in cases of 19 hospitals in total, from the 1980's, which is the quantitative growth period, until recently. Especially this study is analyzing Max & Min space depth focusing change of medical environment. Based on this, this study suggests an form of space depth and optimum range of space depth response to growth and change of hospital architecture. Results: The conclusions of this study are as follows. Considering these conclusion, double linear system is most appropriate for space depth for hospital architecture planning focused on system. Optimal range of space depth is at least 21.6m or more in case of clinic room and from 27 meter to 37meter in case of examination & treatment room. Implications: Space of Depth is a key element determining system for hospital architecture planning focused on system. The results of this paper can be data for planning system of hospital architecture which copes with the change.
It seems obvious that the spatial information of existing architectural heritage will be re-structured utilizing BIM technology. In the future to be able to implement such task, a new system of classification of spatial information, which fit to the structural nature of architectural heritage is necessary. This paper intend to suggest the conceptual model that can be the base of establishing new classification system for architectural heritage. For this study we reviewed researches related to classification system of architectural heritage (CS-AH) and BIM based architectural heritage (BIM-AH), first. As a result, we found that CS-AH is focused on building elevation and type, and BIM-AH is biased on the Library and Parametric Modeling. Second, we figured out a relationship between the CS-AH and BIM-AH. From this analysis, we found that BIM-AH is biased on Library and Parametric since the building elevation and type was focused on CS-AH. This review suggests a potential of the 3D CS-AH to expand the range of research for BIM-AH. At last, we suggest the three concept of classification are: 1)horizontality-accumulation relationship, 2)structure-infill relationship, 3)segment-member relationship. These three concept, together as one system of classification, could provide useful framework of new classification system of spatial information for architectural heritage.
The purpose of this study is to suggest information system focused on the delivery system for national internet shopping mall. It is specifically summarized as follows. First, I showed the necessary required contents for constructing information system focused on the delivery system. Next, I suggested the theoretical model of the necessary information system for practicing information system, which is based on the above contents. The result of this study is to support for constructing information delivery system required for information system of internet shopping mall. And is to do a role of guide for practicing it, which is regarded as constructing a practical business guideline.
