Having set a trend for luxury fashion brand markets since the $17^{th}$ century, France has established the norms and the forms of the fashion business. In addition, it has maintained its status as a leading fashion power by discovering economic value from the intangible value of design and brand, and developing fashion into a high value-added industry. This paper aims to examine the socio-cultural factors that have exerted a positive influence on the formation of "fashion power" in France from a historical perspective. It will focus on four major external historical factors that made France the top fashion power: insights and innovation of French leaders as well as their constant concerns and efforts for the promotion of fashion, a tradition of experimental cultures and arts, open and the public-centered social environment and an atmosphere of cherishing the values of creation, and the establishment of a legitimate system that protects them.

It may be said that ancient wild Chinese garden had been founded during Qin dynasty and completed through Han, Sui and Tang dynasties. At first used as hunting areas for kings, the ancient resort forests began to take forms of garden. They dug a pond in the garden and made a simulated mountains with the soil that came from the excavations for the pond and suc pavilions has Gyong, Ru, Gak etc. were built around the pond. The ponds were different in size from those in Korea, being of the lake-like size. they made three island in the pond, which were the islands of Taoist hermits with supernatural powers, called Bong-lae, Young-ju and Band-jang respectively. the traditional of making those islands began in the Qin era and were completed in the Han era, being descended to posterity as a traditional garden structure of 'three islands in one pond' garden style. Such style was brought to Korea and first appeared as Kung-Nam-Ji in Back-jae kingdom and then brought to Japan, becoming the tradition of constructing ponds from early Heian era. Those lake-like huge Chinese ponds constituted the core of ancient garden where various feasts took place. Such ponds were also placed at the center of the gardens and played the roles of feasting garden ponds. Through the above-mentioned studies of the ancient Chines garden, the origin of them and the influence of the ancient Chinese ponded garden upon those of Korea and Japan were investigated.

Recent developments such as concern over global warming, depletion of fossil fuels and increase in energy demands by the increasing world population has eventually lead to mass production of electricity using renewable sources. Apart from wind and solar, ocean holds tremendous amount of untapped energy in forms such as geothermal vents, tides and waves. The current study looks at generating power using waves and the focus is on the primary energy conversion (first stage conversion) of incoming waves for different models. Observation of flow characteristics and the velocity in the augmentation channel as well as the front guide nozzle are presented in the paper. A numerical wave tank was used to simulate the waves and after obtaining the desired wave properties; the augmentation channel plus the front guide nozzle and rear chamber were integrated to the numerical wave tank. The waves in the numerical wave tank were generated by a piston type wave maker which was located at the wave tank inlet. The inlet which was modeled as a plate wall moved sinusoidally with the general function, x=asin$\omega$t The augmentation channel consisted of a front nozzle, rear nozzle and an internal fluid region representing the turbine housing. The analysis was performed using the commercial CFD code ANSYS-CFX.

The Lakhta Center is a Multifunction Complex Development (MFCD) consisting of 1) an 86 story office tower rising 462 m above the ground to provide high-end offices for Gazprom Neft and Gazprom Group affiliates 2) a Multi-Function Building (MFB) that includes, a scientific/educational center, a sport center, a children's technopark, a planetarium, a multi-transformable hall, an exhibition center, shops, restaurants, and other public facilities 3) a Stylobate 4) "The Arch, which forms the main entrance to the tower, restaurants, and cafes 5) underground parking and 6) a wide range of large public plazas. While each of the MFCD buildings is technically challenging in its own right, the focus of the paper is to present the development and integration of the structural and foundation systems of the bowed, tapered, and twisted shape of the tower into the fabric of the tallest Tower in Europe.

This study looks at common features between the two media to explore the deepening relationship within music and images in movies and finds at how they are combined each other and the resulting effects. Beyond the limitations of conventional viewpoints of music as video-dependent media, The is analyzed to focus on the deepening relationship between the two media. In the movie, music and video were combined by sharing the same attributes of 'repeating structure', which increases the transmission power to the film's subject and story, maximizes visual and auditory stimuli, and forms a sense of immersion. That is, video and music combined in equal positions have great influence to each other, thus representing for a positive consideration of the potential for establishing interdependent relationships.

A number of techniques have been studied to estimate the position of pedestrians in indoor space. Among them, the technique of estimating the position using only the sensors attached to the body of the pedestrian without using the infrastructure is regarded as a very important technology for special purpose pedestrians such as the firefighters. In particular, it forms a research field under the name of Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR). In this paper, we focus on a method for step detection which is essential when performing PDR using Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) mounted on a shoe. Many researches have been done to detect the stance phase where the foot contacts the ground. Most of these methods, however, have a way to detect the specific size of the sensor signal and require thresholds for these methods. This has the difficulty of changing these thresholds if the user is different. To solve this problem, we propose a stance phase detection method that does not require any threshold value. It is expected that this result will make it easier to commercialize the technology because PDR can be implemented without user-dependent parameter setting.

Teaching has become a feminized profession, especially in elementary teaching, in which it is regarded as "women's work." Concerns about the "extinction" of men in the field resulted in calls for male teachers. While studies indicate that there is positive discrimination in favor of men (despite the feminization of teaching), it appears that there are also forms of discrimination that work against them. As such this study explored the challenges of being a male in the feminized profession from the perspective of male teacher candidates. Studies in the field of teacher education in the Philippines mainly focus on curriculum and students' academic achievement, hence an inquiry must be done on the plight of male teachers in a gendered profession. A phenomenological study was employed to look into the realities of six male teacher candidates. Findings show that male teachers are: (1) leadership-destined; (2) conflicted; (3) limited; and (4) devalued. The narrative of male teachers in the Philippine education sector reveals the need to revisit programs and policies in professional development and support. Finally, recommendations are made for teacher education programs to guide teacher candidates' experiences towards a more inclusive profession.

A company's sustainable growth is a very important goal, and for this purpose, the company's business model is changing into a convergence of products and services. The purpose of PS-Offering is to maintain a long-term relationship with customers, and customer experience management is necessary for this. This study presents a service design methodology that can support customer experience management of the PS-Offering business model. The experience management portfolio analysis methodology consists of four steps: 1. Deriving service encounter through customer journey maps; 2. Identify the service structure of each service encounter in three forms (FFC, FSC, FSE). 3. Analyze the customer's emotional variables, that is, customer experience, at each service encounter, Finally, 4. After plotting the level of customer experience at the service encounter, the analysis is conducted with a customer experience management portfolio that seeks future strategic plans for this. The methodology presented in this study will help in the service design of the service encounter unit centered on customer experience. And it will improve the financial performance of the company by raising the service level of the business model.

Asthma is a common pulmonary disease with several different forms. The most studied form of asthma is the allergic form, which is mainly related to the function of Th2 cells and their production of cytokines (IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13) in association with allergen sensitization and adaptive immunity. Recently, there have been many advances in understanding non-allergic asthma, which seems to be related to environmental factors such as air pollution, infection, or even obesity. Cells of the innate immune system, including macrophages, neutrophils, and natural killer T cells as well as the newly described innate lymphoid cells, are effective producers of a variety of cytokines and seem to play important roles in the development of non-allergic asthma. In this review, we focus on recent findings regarding innate lymphoid cells and their roles in asthma.

Game design as an academic discipline is still in the early developing stages and the lack of fundamental study has seen game designers cloning other games with only superficial changes added to them. Game market today is going through unprecedented expansion with games for more diverse users and variety of game styles. Such trend owes to the fact that formal structures of the game can be manipulated to formulate creative and experimental forms. This paper will focus on the 'boundary' element of the game that could broaden the perspective of the game into different possibilities with emerging mobile technologies, public design's new interpretation of urban spaces and integrating interactive technologies in different phases of art.
