미생물막을 이용한 유동층 반응기에서의 생물학적 탈질화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Denitrification in the Fluidized Bed Biofilm Reactor)

  • The study was concerned with the biological denitrification of wastewater using the fluidization of biofilm-coated carbon particles. And the effect of Glucose and biofilm thickness on denitrification was mainly investigated. Experimental results showed that biofilm thickness increased with the growth of bacteria and 14 days after the beginning of operation, the thickness approached 300-310${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. It was found that biofilm thickness was directly concerned with the removal efficiency of NO$_3$$^{[-10]}$ -N. As the results of experiments to find out the influence of Glucose on denitrification, Glucose, 60% excess from stoichiometric quantity was adequate and sufficient to react the bacteria with NO$_3$$^{[-10]}$ -N.

Eletron Microscopic Observation of Calcium-Acetylated Seaweed Alginate Gel

  • Seaweed alginate was acetylated by activated carbon immobilized Pseudomonas syringae in a fluidized bed, up-flow reactor. The acetylation degree of seaweed alginate was about 30%. Calcium-acetylated seaweed alginate gel bead was made and compared to calcium-seaweed alginate gel bead by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Structural difference of two gel beads may results from increased viscosity and decreased affinity of acetylated seaweed alginate for calcium ion. On the basis of interior and exterior structure of calcium-acetylated seaweed alginate gels and property of acetylated seaweed alginate, it seems that acetylated seaweed alginate is used for the supporter for electrophoresis and packing materials for liquid chromatography and gel filtration.

  • 본 실험에서는 상압 유동층 반응기 (0.1 m-1.D x 1.6 m-high) 에서 호주탄의 가스화반응 특성을 공기와 스팀을 사용하여 살펴보았다. 유동화 속도 (2-5 u$_{mf}$), 공기/석탄비(1.6-3.2), 스팀/석탄비 (0.63-1.26), 그리고 반응 온도 (750 - 90$0^{\circ}C$) 가 생성 가스의 조성, 발열량, 수율 및 탄소 전환율에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 입자 비산속도는 유동화 속도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였으나, 층온도가 증가함에 따라 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 생성가스의 발열량 및 탄소 전환율 그리고 가스 수율은 유동화 속도 및 층 온도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였으나, 발열량은 공기/석탄비가 증가함에 따라 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다.

  • Major parameters determining the extent of Ca utilization were investigated for their calcination/sulfation behavior of limestone in the AFBC(Atmospheric Fluidized Bed Combustion) environments. Three different particle sizes of Fredonia limestone were investigated in the lab-scale tubular reactor. The results of the calcination codnversion of limestone imply that thesd decomposition rate of CaCO3 into CaO is dependent on the amount of heat which limestone absorbed. Hg porosimeter measurement of calcined limestone illustrated that surface area and pore volume are increased with decreasing particle size. Raw Fredonia limestone and sequentially as well as simultaneously calcined/sulfated limestones were also examined using SEM. The SEM Studied showed that the surface of the calcined limestone particles is more diffusive nature than that of the parent calcite. However, the sulfur distribution pattern of simultaneously-treated particles and that of the se-quentially-treated one shows no difference.

막미생물과 부유미생물의 kinetics 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Bio-kinetics of Suspended Sludge and Attached Sludge)

  • Biological treatment systems generally can be divided into two main classes of a suspended sludge process and attached one like a fluidized bed reactor. These process are considered to bring remarkable change in species composition of microorganisms, due to difference of a state of biofilm, a concentration and diffusion velocity of dissolved oxygen, a concentration and diffusion velocity of substance or poisonous matter. The change of species composition bring different treatment result for influence factors like F/M ratio, DO concentration, pH or poisonous matter. This study is to investigate the reaction characteristics of both microorganisms, namely, a suspended sludge and attached sludge, through the changes of pH, temperature and substance concentration.

  • 본 논문은 유동층반응기에서 메탄의 열분해에 의한 수소 생산과 탄소 생성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 환경에 대한 영향을 최소화한 상태에서 메탄의 전환반응을 메탄 분해촉매활성에 영향을 미치는 인자에 대하여 연구하였다. 측정된 압력요동특성치의 해석을 통하여 유동층 열분해촉매의 유동화현상을 측정하였으며, 유동화특성에 따른 메탄열분해능을 측정하였다. 메탄의 분해는 생성되는 수소를 이용하였다. 유동층의 이동성, $U-U_{mf}$, 마모, 비산유출 유동화가스의 효율밀도에 따른 영향을 연구하였다.

  • Effects of operating variables on solid circulation rate were measured and discussed using two-interconnected circulating fluidized bed system at ambient temperature and pressure. OCN 706-1100 particles were used as oxygen carrier. The measured solid circulation rates increased as the lower loop seal gas flow rates and the solid height in the fuel reactor increased. Suitable operating conditions to avoid choking of the air reactor were confirmed. Continuous long-term operations of steady-state solid circulation were also demonstrated at two different conditions based on the operating window.

  • 도장공정에서 발생하는 VOC의 처리를 위한 활성탄-광촉매 복합시스템을 제안하였고, VOC제거성능을 실험적으로 평가하였다. 활성탄 합은 톨루엔 흡착특성에 근거하여 설계하였고, 광촉매 시스템은 $TiO_2/SiO_2$ 유동층 반응기와 $TiO_2$코팅된 필터의 연계시스템으로 설계하였다. 본 활성탄-광촉매 복합시스템은 서로 다른 VOC 화학종 및 농도에 따라 $75\~100\%$에 이르는 VOC제거효율을 보여주었다.

  • In this study plastic optical fibers (POFs) were considered as light-transmitting media and substrates for the potential use in photocatalytic environmental purification system. After the characteristics of POFs in terms of light transmittance and absorption were determined at the beginning, the further investigation was performed through the photocatalytic degradation of trichloroethylene (TCE), iso-propanol and etc. with TiO$_2$-coated optical fiber reactor systems (POFR). It is concluded that the use of POFs is preferred to quartz optical fibers (QOFs) since the advantages such as ease of handling, lower cost, relatively reasonable light attenuation at the wavelength of near 400nm can be obtained. Various geometrical reactor shapes have been constructed and applied for the last one and half years. For the use of POF in water phase treatment, however, more detailed scientific and engineering aspects should be envisaged. This case requires a suitable mixture to obtain more stable and innocuous immobilization of photocatalyst on POF. To overcome this disadvantage, metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) was conducted in a fluidized bed to deposit thin films of titania on glass and alumina beads. Those can be used as photocatalysis for the removal of pollutants especially in liquid phases.

Calcium Oxide를 이용한 N2O 분해에 관한 CO2의 영향 연구 (A Study of Nitrous Oxide Decomposition using Calcium Oxide)

  • 석탄 연소기술에서 타 연소로에 비해서 유동층 연소는 황산화물과 질소산화물 배출을 줄이는 기술이다. 석회석의 소성으로 생성되는 CaO에 의한 황산화물의 제거와 저온 연소와 공기 다단계 주입에 의한 NOx를 줄일 수 있다는 것이 유동층 연소로의 큰 장점이지만, 상대적으로 $N_2O$의 배출은 매우 높다. $N_2O$는 지구온난화 가스일 뿐만 아니라 성층권내의 오존층을 파괴하는 물질이기도 하다. CaO는 $N_2O$ 분해를 위한 촉매 물질로 알려져 있다. 본 연구는 CaO를 충진시킨 고정층 반응기에서 CaO에 의한 $N_2O$의 분해특성에 관하여 수행하였으며, 유동층 연소온도와 가스조성에서 온도변화에 대한 $N_2O$의 분해특성, CaO 충진량의 변화와 $CO_2$, NO, $O_2$ 농도변화에 따른 $N_2O$ 분해특성에 관하여 수행하였다. 또한 실험 결과로부터 CaO표면에서 $N_2O$분해반응에 대한 반응속도식을 나타낼 수 있었다. 결과로서 온도가 증가함에 따라 $N_2O$ 분해반응이 증가하였으며, $CO_2$의 농도를 변화시킬 경우 $CO_2$ 농도가 증가할수록 $N_2O$ 분해반응이 감소하였다. NO 존재시와 비교하였을 때 $N_2O$의 분해반응이 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 반응속도론적으로 해석한 결과 $CO_2$ 농도에 대한 $N_2O$ 분해반응의 반응속도식을 다음과 같이 나타내었다. 본 연구 결과 CaO는 $N_2O$분해 반응에서 좋은 촉매 기능을 지니고 있음을 알 수 있었다. $\frac{d[N_2O]}{dt}=\frac{3.86{\times}10^9{\exp}(-15841/R)K_{N_2O}[N_2O]}{(1+K_{N_2O}[N_2O]+K_{CO_2}[CO_2])}$
