  • In this study, numerical analysis is performed to investigate the sound radiation characteristics of an apartment house according to the type of the slab system. In order to satisfy the boundary condition of the apartment house, the whole floor is modelled with FEM model for three different structural system: wall, RC, flat slab system. From the analytical results, it is shown that heavy weight floor impact noise of wall type slab is larger than that of the other slab systems and the noise radiated from the wall have great effect on the sound pressure level. The results also show that the vibration energy of RC or flat slab system is widely distributed over the whole slab, which is main reason that the noise induced by the slab systems is reduced in comparison with wall slab system.

  • This paper describes design method of Passive-type Radar Reflector (PRR) which is to provide the requirement of newly revised 2000 SOLAS regulations on the Radar Reflector. The main target of this work is to find the optimum shape of a radar target having large Radar Cross Section (RCS). Through the RCS analysis based on the theoretical approach, two kinds of PRR models, RRR-F model for use in fisheries and PRR-S model for use in small sized ship, are designed and discussed their RCS performance. RCS measurement tests for the various sized samples are carried out in an anechoic chamber. As evaluation results it was clearly shown that the conventional sphere-type shows optimum shape in case of PRR-S, while the cylinder-type which consists of large sized corner clusters or zig-zag flat plats gives best performance in case of PRR-F.

  • This paper summarizes the results of push-out test specimens with a new type of shear connector called ㄱ type perfobond rib. This connector is a flat steel plate with a number of holes punched through and strengthen rib's head part. According to experiment result, ㄱ type perfobond rib shear connector appeared that resistance force is increased than stud shear connector by $108\%$ and perfobond rib shear connector by $26\%$. The results obtained indicate that the perfobond rib connector is a viable alternative to the headed studs. An appreciable improvement in the shear capacity of the connection was observed when additional reinforcing bars were passed through the perfobond rib holes. For composite beams with concrete filled steel tubes, ㄱ type perfobond shear connectors exhibit adequate ductility and substantially higher capacities.

  • Consider a gradient Einstein-type metric in the setting of K-contact manifolds and (κ, µ)-contact manifolds. First, it is proved that, if a complete K-contact manifold admits a gradient Einstein-type metric, then M is compact, Einstein, Sasakian and isometric to the unit sphere 𝕊2n+1. Next, it is proved that, if a non-Sasakian (κ, µ)-contact manifolds admits a gradient Einstein-type metric, then it is flat in dimension 3, and for higher dimension, M is locally isometric to the product of a Euclidean space 𝔼n+1 and a sphere 𝕊n(4) of constant curvature +4.

  • The null lens is designed for testing the elliptical (conic constant>O) mirror which is the third mirror of the off-axis Three Mirror Anastigmat (TMA) designed as a high resolution camera for remote sensing. The mixed type design is proposed as a new design type which has a small annular flat mirror, but has as twice sensitivity as the autostigmatic type design. It is also shown that the null lens of the Mixed type is better than that of the autostigmatic type in terms of the sensitivity of the wavefront distortion which is given as the magnitude of optical path difference with respect to the change of each surface parameters such as the radius of curvature, thickness of lenses and tested mirror.

  • In terms of plane structure, tower-type apartments have several disadvantages compared to flat-type apartments in the aspect of ventilation rate. Such disadvantages may not produce good indoor cooling effects with natural ventilation inside the heated apartments in hot summer days, so they may cause high energy consumption by an increase in cooling load. The purpose of this study is to investigate ways for improving the indoor thermal environment of tower-type apartments in summer by conducting quantitative evaluations of the airflow distribution in households.

  • Semiconductor packaging technology is changed rapidly according to the trends of the micro miniaturization of multimedia and information equipment. For I/O limitation and fine pitch limitation, DIP and SOP/QFP are replaced by BGA/CSP. This is one of the surface mount technology(SMT). Solder ball is bumped n the die pad and connected onto mounting board. In ball bump formation, vacuum suction type ball alignment process is widely used, However this type has some problems such as ionization, static electricity and difficulty of fifo(first-input first-out) of solder balls. Seesaw type is reducing these problems and has a structural simplicity and economic efficiency. Ball cartridge velocity and ball aligned plate angle are Important variables to improve the ball alignment Process. In this paper, seesaw-type CSP solder ball loader is developed and the optimal velocity and plate angle are proposed.

  • HCPV(High Concentrated PV) systems have well known for CPV market all over the world. Low concentration type silicon based modules have been introduced in the market. But low cost of standard flat silicon modules made them useless nowadays. High cost of compound semiconductor solar cell reduced cost effective cpv module production than that of recently silicon solar cell. In order to overcome increasing cost of CPV module, we study middle concentration type fresnel lens simulation using concentrated type silicon based solar cell. Linear type fresnel lens made production of CPV module without secondary optics such as light pipe or light tunnel. This type of fresnel lens design makes more cost effective solution for cpv niche market.

  • The ㄱ type perfobond rib shear connector is a ㄱ type flat steel plate with a number of holes punched through. This connector can be effectively used in girder with high shear. The ㄱ type perfobond rib shear connector exhibit very stiff behaviour under service load conditions and also had the characteristic of retaining a significant amount of load after the attainment of ultimate capacity. A regression analysis, which is based on a model that takes into account the contributions of concrete dowels formed by the rib holes, the transverse reinforcement, the strength of concrete in front of the rib, and the ㄱ type plate as well as a nonlinear finite element analysis, is used in the derivation. An empirical equation for the design of ㄱ type perfobond rib shear connector is proposed.

  • The results and interpretations of push-out tests on shear connector devices for composite bridges carried out in this study are presented. The devices under investigations are headed studes, perfobond rib, ㄱtype perfobond rib, T- Connector and a new type of shear connector called T type perfobond rib. This new connector is flat steel plate with a number of holes punched through. The results obtained indicate that the T type perfobond rib shear connectors exhibit adequate ductility and substantially higher capacities. Therefore for composite beams utilizing reinforced concrete slabs, the T type perfobond rib shear connectors is a viable alternative to the headed studs.
