카본 도포에 따른 Cu-Epoxy 접촉면에서 발생하는 크랙방지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prevention of Crack Generated in Interface Cu and Epoxy with Painting of Carbon)

  • The bushing for high voltage and large and power should endure weight of itself and force of pushing from contact with circuit breaker. Like this, epoxy mold bushing has to be strong without fault. However, the external circumstances and internal factors was caused by partial discharge, flashover and dielectric breakdown. Therefore, to remove external factor of defect and to prevent the internal cracks and cavity generated from the contraction on interface of Cu-Epoxy, we should form semi-conductive layer on Cu bar by carbon. Then, the PD properties and the insulation qualities of epoxy mold type bushing was able to improved by roles of cushions for the direction of diameter and by effects fo natural sliding like as separated from conductor for the direction of length. So, in this work, we could prove the method of semi-conductive layer in making the long conductor.

  • Porcelain suspension insulators have teen used for a long time in distribution line. However, Puncture breakdowns in porcelain insulators caused by weaking cement between metal fitting nad porcelain material. There is little puncture breakdown in Epoxy casting insulator. This paper presents electrical test results for the development of suspension insulator used Cycloaliphatic Epoxy resin. Items of test results are as follow - Power Arc test - Aging test - Impulse flashover voltage tests - Puncture tests et.al.

  • The NGK suspension insulators are subjected in harsh environments in service above 40 years long time. The long term reliability of the insulators is required for both mechanical and electrical performances. This study describes some electrical performances according to KEPCO-standard. There was fail in electrical and mechanical performance test such as galvanizing, low-frequence wet flashover voltage, puncture and combine mechanical & electrical strength test. The NGK suspension insulators of 1968 were shown lower electrical and mechanical performance than those of 1979.

  • Fault current limiters (FCL) are extensively needed to suppress fault currents, especially for trunk power systems heavily connected to high voltage/large current transmission lines. Due to its ideal electrical behavior, high-temperature superconductor fault current limiter (HTSFCL) becomes one of the most important developing trends of limiters in power system. This paper describes the result of an investigation of the dielectric characteristics of turn-to-turn insulation for pancake and solenoid type reactor coil in liquid nitrogen. The influence of thickness in a variety length, on AC, DC and impulse surface flashover has been investigated. Also, the relationships between the number of turn and breakdown characteristics were clarified. The information gathered in this test series should be helpful in the design of liquid nitrogen filled DC reactor type HTSFCL.

가속열화시험에 의한 폴리머애자의 신뢰성 평가 (Reliability Assessment of Polymer Insulators by Accelerated Aging Test)

  • In order to assess the long-tenn reliability of polymer insulators for distribution power systems, we have developed the accelerated aging test method which can simulate the operation conditions. In this study, 3000 hours aging test for 4 kinds of polymer insulators has been completed by the developed accelerated aging test. After 3000 hours aging test, visual inspection and electrical tests were carried for identifying a change of characteristics. Some specimens showed the surface erosion and the manufacturing defect. In the electrical tests, the wet flashover voltage was significant1y decreased by the accelerated aging test. In comparison with the field-aged polymer insulators, it can be concluded that the developed test method can evaluate the long-tenn reliability within short time and screen the manufacturing defect.

  • The Electrical insulation design and testing of high temperature superconducting (HTS) coil for high temperature superconducting fault current limiter (HTSFCL) has been performed. Electrical insulating factors of HTS coil for HTSFCL are turn-to-turn, layer-to-layer. The electrical insulation of turn-to-turn depends on surface length, and the electrical insulation of layer-to-layer depends on surface length and breakdown strength of L$N_2$. Therefore, two basic characteristics of breakdown and flashover voltage were experimentally investigated to design electrical insulation for 6.6㎸ Class HTSFCL. We used Weibull distribution to set electric field strength for insulation design. And mini-model HTS coil for HTSFCL was designed by using Weibull distribution and was manufactured to investigate breakdown characteristics. The mini-model HTS coil had passed in AC and Impulse withstand test.

  • This paper presents the results of multi-stress chamber experiments done to examine the tracking and erosion performance of polymer insulator. Multi-stress testing is able to demonstrate deficiencies of polymer insulator materials and designs, including the nature of interfaces in insulation design. Therefore, multi-stress testing is believed to a suitable test for evaluating the aging performance of polymer insulator designs. We have nvestigated IEC 61109 Annex C for estimating long time performance of polymer insulator.

  • 65% of the Korean peninsula is composed of mountainous area, 97% of which is composed of forest. Therefore, there is high possibility of mountain fire because a lot of potential inflammables such as fallen leaves are stacked on the ground. Moreover, most of the overhead transmission lines in Korea are operated on the mountain. However, there has been very little study for the effect of mountain fire on polymeric insulator for transmission line, though the study is significantly required Therefore, in this study the authors observed the deformation of the housing of the insulator under fire with respect to the ignition time, using artificial ignition testing equipment, and investigated electrical and mechanical characteristics of the insulator by dry withstand voltage test, impulse flashover test and tensile load test.

  • The distribution facilities, such as suspension insulator, line post insulator, lightning arrester, COS, used for long periods in the industrial pollution area were investigated. The electrical test and the material analyses were performed on the polluted and non-polluted facilities. The low frequency dry flashover voltage of polluted suspension was decreased about 8% in comparison with non-polluted one. The polluted materials turned out with the iron which came from the foundries. The polluted materials turned out with the iron which came from the foundries. This conductive materials decreased the leakage distance, resulting in reducing of electrical properties.

Series Gap Type 피뢰기의 뇌임펄스 동작책무 및 온도의존성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Lightning Impulse Operating Duty and Temperature Dependence of Series Gap Type Arrester)

  • This paper describes lightning impulse operating duty performance and temperature dependence of series gap type for transmission line arresters. The ageing parameters of lightning arresters are impulse current, moisture ingress, temperature ageing and so on. Especially it is important to estimate the change of electrical characteristics by lightning impulse current. In the discharge withstand test, total energy applied to the ZnO arrester each time is 4/10 ${\mu}s$, 30 kA. and in the operating duty test, the arrester has passed the test if thermal stability is achieved, if the residual voltage measured before and after the test is not changed by more than 5 %, and after the test reveals no evidence of puncture, flashover or cracking of the ZnO block. As a results, the residual voltage was in the range of 17.2${\sim}$20.3 kV and ZnO block bear up against at 2 shot of series impulse current of 30 kA. Also it was so excellent that the mechanical destruction does not occur at the 2 groups of 5 impulses current of 2/20 ${\mu}s$ 10 kA. According to the tests, it is thought that the ZnO arrester shows good stability with impulse current test. and it was found that the ambient temperature is increased resistive leakage current was increased in the range 47.3${\sim}$167.4 ${\mu}A$.
