This paper introduces a variable step-size adaptive algorithm for blind source separation. From the frequency characteristics of mixed input signals, we need to adjust the convergence speed regularly in each frequency bin. This algorithm varies a step-size according to the magnitude of input at each frequency bin. This guarantee of the regular convergence in each frequency bin would become more efficient in separation performances than conventional fixed step-size FDICA. Computer simulation results show the improvement of about 5 dB in signal to interference ratio (SIR) and the better separation quality.
In this paper, a new approach to acquire the cross-sentional image for automatic solder joint inspection of double-sided PCB using X-ray source is presented. We designed the apparatus with fixed X-ray source to realize the cross-sectional image by tunning object and detector synchronously. The cross-sectional images are captured at several view angle of X-ray source, the geometric image distortions caused by view angle and the shape of image intensifier are compensated. The precision variation of cross-sectional image by the change of view angle was investigated. Also we acquired the cross-sectional image to the solder joint of double-sided PCB and reconstructed the shape of solder joint.

One of the premier mechanisms used in extracting unobserved signals from observed mixtures in signal processing is employing a blind source separation (BSS) algorithm. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) techniques are playing a prominent role in the sphere of multicarrier communication. A set of remedial solutions taken to mitigate deteriorative effects caused within the air interface of OFDM transmission with aid of BSS schemes is presented. Four energy functions are used in deriving the filter coefficients. Energy criterion functions to be optimized and the performance is justified. These functions together with iterative fixed point rule for receive signal are used in determining the filter coefficients. Time correlation properties of the channel are taken advantage for BSS. It is tried to remove colored noise and jamming components from themixture at the receiver. Themethod is tested in a slow fading channel with a receiver containing equal gain combining to treat the channel state information values. The importance is that, these are quite low computational complexity mechanisms.
The output characteristics of solar cell vary with load and solar insolation. Therefore solar cell must always track maximum power point. If photovoltaic system is stand-alone. It is necessary to maintain for output of voltage source inverter. In this paper, stand-alone photovoltaic system consists of boost chopper and voltage source inverter. We make it to track maximum power point by revolution of solar cell array instead of detecting situation of sun in any conditions. And we prove that maximum power point tracking by revolution of solar cell array is better than fixed solar cell.

This study is for the stable optical source in order to get the precision measurement, which contributes to help the laser frequency and the output to be settled. The laser optical frequency is changed by the length of resonance cavity. The length variation of the laser resonance amplitude is affected by the thermal expansion of that system. So, we try not only to adjust the temperature of the laser tube using the heater for fine length of resonance cavity, but also to maintain the fixed temperature of the resonance cavity for outputting the safe laser optical frequency. Therefore, we must take materials with the thermal expansion of the supporting system, which is closer to it of the laser resonance cavity. Using the materials, we can promote to stabilize the temperature of it. In advance, we also plan to get the settlement of the laser frequency and the output in the long km, optimizing and stabilizing the system.

The nonlinear analytic function expansion nodal (AFEN) method is applied to the solution of the time-dependent neutron diffusion equation. Since the AFEN method requires both the particular solution and the homogeneous solution to the transient fixed source problem, the derivation solution method is focused on finding the particular solution efficiently. To avoid complicated particular solutions, the source distribution is approximated by quadratic polynomials and the transient source is constructed such that the error due to the quadratic approximation is minimized. In addition, this paper presents a new two-node solution scheme that is derived by imposing the constraint of current continuity at the interface corner points. The method is verified through a series of applications to the NEACRP PWR rod ejection benchmark problem.
The dynamic response of a finite length thermo-piezoelectric rod with variable material properties is investigated in the context of the fractional order theory of thermoelasticity. The rod is subjected to a moving heat source and fixed at both ends. The governing equations are formulated and then solved by means of Laplace transform together with its numerical inversion. The results of the non-dimensional temperature, displacement and stress in the rod are obtained and illustrated graphically. Meanwhile, the effects of the fractional order parameter, the velocity of heat source and the variable material properties on the variations of the considered variables are presented, and the results show that they significantly influence the variations of the considered variables.

The time difference of arrival(TDOA) algorithm is being used widely for identifying the location of a source emanating either electrical or acoustic signal. It's application areas will not be limited to identifying the source at a fixed location, for example the origin of an earthquake, but will also include the trajectory monitoring for a moving source equipped with a GPS sensor. Most of the TDOA algorithm uses time correlation technique to find the time delay between received signals, and therefore difficult to be used for identifying the location of multiple sources. In this paper a TDOA algorithm based on cross-spectrum is developed to find the trajectory of two sound sources with different frequencies. Although its application is limited to for the sources on a disk plane, it can be applied for identifying the locations of more than two sources simultaneously.
This paper proposes a method of underwater source localization using the wideband interference patterns matching. By matching two interference patterns in the spectrogram, it is estimated a ratio of the range from source to sensor5, and then this ratio is applied to the Apollonius circle. The Apollonius circle is defined as the locus of all points whose distances from two fixed points are in a constant value so that it is possible to represent the locus of potential source location. The Apollonius circle alone, however still keeps the ambiguity against the correct source location. Therefore another equation is necessary to estimate the unique locus of the source location. By estimating time differences of signal arrivals between source and sensors, the hyperbola equation is used to get the cross point of the two equations, where the point being assumed to be the source position. Simulations are performed to get performances of the proposed algorithm. Also, comparisons with real sea experiment data are made to prove applicability of the algorithm in real environment. The results show that the proposed algorithm successfully estimates the source position within an error bound of 10%.
In this study, we propose this new algorithm that generates score function in ICA(Independent Component Analysis) using entropy theory. To generate score function, estimation of probability density function about original signals are certainly necessary and density function should be differentiated. Therefore, we used kernel density estimation method in order to derive differential equation of score function by original signal. After changing formula to convolution form to increase speed of density estimation, we used FFT algorithm that can calculate convolution faster. Proposed score function generation method reduces the errors, it is density difference of recovered signals and originals signals. In the result of computer simulation, we estimate density function more similar to original signals compared with Extended Infomax and Fixed Point ICA in blind source separation problem and get improved performance at the SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) between recovered signals and original signal.
