유.무선 컨버전스 서비스 수요 Pattern에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Demand Pattern Analysis of Fixed Mobile Convergence Telecommunication Service)

  • This study investigates empirically on the business analysis of fixed mobile convergence telecommunication service. As for the stage of empirical analysis, the process was carried out in the order elaboration of a test model, selection of sample, empirical analysis and interpretation of result. We report our Preliminary results on the fixed mobile convergence telecommunication service demand pattern forecasting by Bass model. The results show that the fixed mobile convergence telecommunication service may sustain profitability over the next ten years in the market. In conclusion, the practical implication of the result attained by this study is that in order to create a fixed mobile convergence in the korean business world, practical tools such as WiBro service is no less important than fixed service and Mobile service, and that users may be rightfully encouraged to adopt WiBro service.

  • When the Internet phone service, generally PC-to-Phone, first entered into the telecommunications service market, no regulatory issues were arisen to manage the service within the regulatory framework because of it's low quality, no phone number assignment and etc. However, almost the same quality, more applications and cheaper price compared with the fixed telecommunications service, have changed the regulator's policy allowing Internet phone service within market mechanism. While incumbent fixed telecommunications service enterprises had given with tremendous duties to continue the job categorized 'facilities-based telecommunication service provider', and which can be unreasonable and unfair if Internet phone service enterprises are allowed to enter into the fixed telecommunications market without any regulation. Thus, new regulatory framework has worked for the Internet phone service named the VoIP service generally in the fixed telecommunications market. Recently, VoIP is provided not only in the fixed telecommunications market but also in the mobile market as Wi-Fi phone is feasible in the wireless LAN environment. Furthermore, bundled service of Wi-Fi and cellular phone service will be launched soon, and the next version will be the mobile VoIP service operating like a cellular phone service. Hence, we will meet similar situation when the VoIP sewice enters into the fixed telecommunications service market. And, in this paper, we prospect the regulatory issues arising when the wireless or mobile VoIP service enterprises enter the mobile market, by analyzing possible scenarios.

  • The remarkable growth of Korean telecommunication market has based on the introduction of competition as well as mobile technology like CDMA. It was well Down that such a conspicuous growth has been towed by mobile service rather than fixed telephone service. In telecommunications service the number of subscribers to mobile was over 40 millions in 2006 and also, while the traffic amount of fixed telephone has been more decreased, that of mobile, which already outnumbers the fixed, has been constantly increased and will be much more in future. It will accelerate the substitution of access and call demand of fixed service by mobile. This change of technology and demand does affect directly the market performance of telecommunications. And regulation has also an effect on market structure, which finally affects on market performance. In this paper we suppose the fixed and mobile telecommunications services are in a same industry. After reviewing the relations among the demand, cost, charge structure and revenue structure in the one fixed and mobile telecommunications market using the framework of an industrial structure analysis, we discuss the current issues of telecommunications regulation and implications for the future regulation.

서비스 고정비용을 고려한 복수제품 품질시스템의 설계 (Design of A Quality System for Multi-Products with the Fixed Costs for Products Servicing)

  • In this paper, we design sampling inspections and service capacities simultaneously for multi-products. Particularly, we extend Kim(2003) by introducing the fixed cost of providing services. We show that, due to the fixed cost considered, the cost function of a product is no longer linear or convex in terms of the level of service provision, and the total inspection is prefered to the small level of service capacity which results in high burden of the fixed cost. And we develop a simple framework to deal with this joint design problem for a product. Also we consider the problem of allocating the given number of the total service capacities among products. A dynamic programming algorithm is developed to determine the optimal allocation which minimizes the overall total cost of the system and the optimal allocation can be obtained with the considerably smaller computations than the total number of possible allocations. The results can be used to support planning decisions and to aid the joint design of inspections and service capacities for products.

  • Nowadays, there are actually lots of changes in wireless communications of Korea. But it is not an exact PTP(Peer to Peer) Communication. In other words, a mobile station which can find fixed station can be connected with wireless internet server or other services, oppositely fixed station cannot approach to mobile station. Even though it exists, it is difficult to communicate with full duplex. We can service using CDMA 1X techniques such as cellular based SMS (Short Message Service) service or very simple MPRG Services. In this paper, we propose a system, using DirectX based mobile/fixed station stand alone program, depending on bandwidth of wireless service provider, tranceiving high resolution moving picture or reliable data regularly by a fixed connection each other.

  • 최근 이동형 글로벌 광대역 통신 및 위성기반의 양방향 인터넷 서비스에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라 ESIM(Earth Station in Motion)이라는 새로운 형태의 위성 터미널이 개발되고 있다. 이 시스템은 ITU-R Resolution 158(WRC-15)에서 FSS(Fixed Satellite Service) 업링크에 27.5-29.5 GHz 대역사용을 고려하고 있어 동일 대역에 이미 분배된 FS와의 간섭분석에 대한 연구가 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 FS(Fixed Service) 무선국 방향으로 보어사이트를 향하는 ESIM의 방위각을 일양분포의 랜덤특성을 고려하여 FS 수신안테나의 -10 dB 빔폭 내의 평균 수신전력 및 간섭기준 초과확률에 대해 이론해석과 시뮬레이션 분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 이론해석의 타당성을 보여주며, 동일 대역의 FS를 보호하기 위해서는 ESIM 이동 터미널의 보어사이트에 대한 이동경로 기울기 각도, 운영시간, 이동속도 등을 종합적으로 고려해서 간섭기준이 마련되어야 한다.

  • WRC-2000에서 지상망과 정지궤도(GSO)를 이용한 위성통신 및 방송으로 분배된 Ku(14/11GHz) 및 Ka(30/20GHz)대역의 일부를 비정지궤도(non-GSO) 위성시스템과 공유하여 사용키로 결정함에 따라, 비정지궤도 위성시스템과 기존 정지궤도 위성망간 주파수대역의 공유문제, 간섭기준 및 간섭영향 평가 등에 관한 연구의 필요성이 제기되어 본 논문에서는 우리나라 위성망의 등가전력속밀도를 계산하기 위해 네 가지 분석방법을 사용하였다.

Products are supplied in batches after rectifying inspections, that is, rejected lot is subject to total inspection and defective products are reworked to good ones. When supplied, all defective products are uncovered and returned to service. Particularly, we extend Kim [1] by introducing the fixed costs of providing services and show that the cost function of a product is no longer linear or convex in terms of the level of service provision. We develop a framework for a product to deal with this joint design problem and a dynamic programming algorithm for multi-products which allocates the given number of the total service capacities among products with the considerably smaller computations than the total number of possible allocations.

  • 일명 '메릴랜드 브릿지'로 불리는 Resin-bonded fixed partial denture (RBFPD)는 전치부 결손부위를 수복하는데 있어 침습범위를 최소화하는 보존적 보철치료로 잘 정립되어 있다. 하지만 RBFPD의 여러 이점에도 불구하고 높은 탈락률, 비심미성, 지지체 파절 등으로 인해 보편적인 치료방법으로 선택되지는 못하였다. 최근 치과 재료의 발달과 함께 지르코니아가 RBFPD의 새로운 재료로 도입되면서 강도와 심미성이 개선된 전치부 RBFPD의 적용에 적합한 재료로 평가받고 있다. 본 증례는 상악 좌측 측절치를 상실한 환자에서 지르코니아 RBFPD를 수복한 증례로, 전치부에서 비침습적이며 심미적인 보철물을 이용하여 치아상실부위를 수복하였고, 환자와 술자 모두 만족하는 결과를 얻었기에 본 증례를 보고하는 바이다.

Performance Analysis of a Finite-Buffer Discrete-Time Queueing System with Fixed-Sized Bulk-service

  • We consider a finite-buffer discrete-time queueing system with fixed-size bulk-service discipline: Geo/ $G^{B}$1/K+B. The main purpose of this paper is to present a performance analysis of this system that has a wide range of applications in Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and other related telecommunication systems. For this purpose, we first derive the departure-epoch probabilities based on the embedded Markov chain method. Next, based on simple rate in and rate out argument, we present stable relationships for the steady-state probabilities of the queue length at different epochs: departure, random, and arrival. Finally, based on these relationships, we present various useful performance measures of interest such as the moments of number of packets in the system at three different epochs and the loss probability. The numerical results are presented for a deterministic service-time distribution - a case that has gained importance in recent years.s.
