수중운동이 여성 관절염환자의 통증과 피로, 체력, 일상활동장애 및 심리적 변수에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of an Aquatic Exercise Program on Pain, Fatigue, Physical Fitness, Disability in ADL, and Psychological Variables in Women with Arthritis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of aquatic exercise on pain, fatigue, physical fitness, disability in ADL, and psychological variables in women with arthritis. Methods: With a quasi-experimental design, 46 women who has arthritis were assigned into an experimental group (n=23), or a control group (n=23). Data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN using descriptive statistics, t-test and ANCOVA. Results: The mean age of the subjects was 60.9 years in the experimental group and 59.8 years in the control group. The pretest scores of the outcome variables were similar between the two groups except fatigue and waist flexibility. After controlling fatigue and waist flexibility, the experimental group showed more improvement than the control group in Rt shoulder flexibility score (F=4.36, p=.04), sit-up score (F=32.34, p=.00), and muscle strength score (F=30.78, p=.00). The score of disability in ADL decreased in the experimental group (F=5.49, p=.02). The depression score decreased in the experimental group (F=12.01, p=.00), and self-efficacy was improved more than the other variables(F=8.88, p=.00). Conclusion: Aquatic exercise is likely to be an effective nursing intervention to improve physical fitness, to reduce pain, fatigue, and disability in ADL, and to enhance psychological functions in women with arthritis.

한국 남자 군인 방한복의 인간공학적 패턴 개발 (Development of Ergonomic Korean Male Military Winter Jacket)

  • This study was to develop an ergonomic Korean male military winter jackets (inner and outer) pattern. First, we developed a prototype pattern and sample jackets based on a previous investigation for fitness and motion suitability of Korean male military winter jackets and evaluated fitness and motion suitability by a wearing test. The evaluation results were positive with an over 3.0 (5.0 Likert scale) for both the inner and outer jacket. However, a relatively low score was shown in the sleeve length and collar front height at the inner jacket and shown in hem circumference, neck circumference, elbow and front neck at the outer jacket. Next, we developed the secondary pattern and sample jacket reflecting the prototype evaluation result and executed expert evaluation. The result showed that the ease amount was appropriate (except for the collar back height) and the appearance was good. Finally, we developed a final pattern that showed good results after evaluation at a Korean military army base.

The Effect of 24-week Sensory Integration Activity Training on fitness of Children with Intellectual disability

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of 24-week sensory integration activity training on fitness of children with intellectual disability. Research design, data, and methodology: The subjects were 10 children with intellectual disability, 60 min training of sensory integration activity for 24 weeks. Obesity, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and muscle endurance were measured pre and post training. Frist, characteristics of subjects were measured with age, height, weight, IQ and SQ. Second, the subjects then performed sensory integration activity training for 24 weeks. Last, weight, strength, endurance, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility were measured. Data were calculated for average and standard deviation by SPSS 25.0 statistic program, and dependent sample t-test was processed to analyze the change between pre and post training. All statistical significance level was set to 0.5. Results: The result was shown that weight, strength and endurance changes between pre and post were significant. However, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility changes between pre and post were not significant. Conclusions: The lack of training frequency of 60 minute per week were acknowledged per week from this result. In future research, increased intensity and frequency are need for an in-depth and meaningful study and the measured data can be used basic information for the study.

단일구조 지르코니아 크라운의 소결 후 추가 소성 과정이 변연 및 내면 적합도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of additional firing process after sintering of monolithic zirconia crown on marginal and internal fitness)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 단일구조 지르코니아 크라운의 소결 후 소성 과정이 변연 및 내면 적합도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 3차원으로 평가해 보고자 하였다. 재료 및 방법: 타이타늄 지대치 모형을 제작하여 10개의 단일구조 지르코니아 크라운을 제작하였다. 제작된 단일구조 지르코니아 크라운을 소결 한 상태를 대조군으로, 소결 후 광택을 위해 추가적인 소성단계를 거친 후를 실험군으로 설정하였다. 각 군에서 triple-scan protocol을 이용하여 협설과 근원심으로 단면을 형성하고 변연 및 내면 적합도를 계측하여 통계 분석하였으며, 삼차원 표면 비교를 시행하였다 (${\alpha}=.05$). 결과: 변연과 내면 적합도를 분석한 결과 근심 축벽에서 대조군($32.0{\pm}24.3{\mu}m$)과 실험군 간($17.0{\pm}10.8{\mu}m$)의 통계적 유의한 차이가 있었고 (P < .020), 원심 축벽에서 대조군($60.2{\pm}24.3{\mu}m$)과 실험군($71.8{\pm}21.5{\mu}m$)간의 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다 (P < .01). 나머지 측점지점에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결론: 단일구조 지르코니아 크라운에서의 소결 후 추가적인 소성은 내면의 변형에 큰 영향을 미치지 않았고 임상적으로 허용 가능한 범위에 있었다.

16주간의 복합운동이 파킨슨병 환자의 혈중 도파민 농도, 기능적 체력 및 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of 16-week Combined Exercise on Blood Dopamine Concentrations, Functional Fitness and Qol in Patients with Parkinson's Disease)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 파킨슨병 환자를 대상으로 16주간 복합운동을 수행하였을 때 혈중 도파민 농도, 기능적 체력 및 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 규명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에 참여한 60대 이상의 파킨슨병 환자 24명을 운동군(n=12)과 통제군(n=12)으로 분류한 후 운동군을 대상으로 16주 동안 주 2회, 회기 당 70분의 복합운동을 실시하였다. 복합운동 실시 전·후 항목별 차의 비교를 위해 그룹 내 차이는 대응 t 검정, 그룹 간 차이는 독립 t 검정, 상호작용 검증을 위해 이원 반복측정 분산분석을 사용하였으며, 각 항목별 통계적 유의수준은 .05로 설정하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 도파민 농도는 운동군(p<.01)이 16주간 운동 전보다 운동 후 유의하게 증가하였고, 통제군의 경우 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 기능적 체력에서 악력은 운동군(p<.001)과 통제군(p<.05) 모두 16주간 운동 전보다 운동 후 유의하게 증가하였고, 덤벨들기(p<.001), 의자 일었다 앉기(p<.001), 3m 걸어갔다 돌아오기(p<.01)가 16주간 운동 전보다 운동 후 운동군에서 유의한 차이를 보였고, 통제군은 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 삶의 질은 운동군(p<.001)이 16주간 운동 전보다 운동 후 유의하게 증가하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 16주간의 복합운동은 파킨슨병 환자에게 매우 효과적임을 알 수 있었으며, 도파민 농도를 증가시키고 근력, 근지구력, 평형성 및 보행능력 등 기능적 체력과 삶의 질을 향상시키는데 도움을 줄 수 있다고 사료된다.

여성노인의 자기효능자원을 이용한 필라테스 운동프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of a Pilates Exercise Program using Self-Efficacy Sources in Elderly Women)

  • Purpose: In this study a pilates exercise program using self-efficacy sources was provided for women 65 years of age or older and the effects on physical fitness, body composition, depression, self-efficacy, and health-related quality of life were tested. Methods: A quasi-experimental study employing a nonequivalent control group, pre-post design was conducted. The subjects consisted of 30 older women in the experiment group and 30 in the comparison group. The intervention was conducted twice a week for a period of 12 weeks. During this period, the pilates exercise program using self-efficacy sources (health education, phone coaching, mentoring, checking homework, recreation) were provided in the experiment group and pilates exercise program were offered in the comparison group. Chi-square test, independent t-test, ANCOVA were used for data analysis. Results: Following completion of the program, upper muscle strength (F=4.131, p=.047), low muscle strength (F=5.558, p=.022), upper flexibility (F=5.252, p=.026), static balance (F=5.957, p=.018), dynamic body balance & agility(F=18.971, p<.001), endurance(F=10.058, p=.002), muscle mass (F=5.748, p=.020), depression (F=4.493, p=.038), Self-efficacy (F=33.853, p<.001), and Health-related quality of life(F=5.586, p=.022) were significantly better in the experimental group. Conclusion: Findings from this study indicate that the pilates exercise program using self-efficacy sources are effective in enhancing physical fitness, body composition, self-efficacy and health-related quality of life and in decreasing depression for female elders and could therefore be regarded as positive program for promotion of physical and mental health for older women.

3D 패턴 디자인 시스템에 의한 노년 여성의 재킷바디스패턴 연구 (Development of Jacket Bodice Pattern for Elderly Women Using 3D Pattern Design System)

  • This study was conducted to suggest an appropriate jacket bodice pattern for elderly women by comparing the developed pattern with existing ready-made jacket pattern. The developed jacket bodice pattern was produced from the basic sloper in which elderly women's somatotype was fully reflected, by using the newly developed 3D pattern design system. Subjects were 6 elderly women aged from 60 to 69 who have average somatotype in their age group. This study carried out pattern analysis and self-sensory test with three ready-made jackets(national brands) and suggested a developed jacket pattern based on the results. According to the self sensory test results of ready-made jacket, wearing fitness among brands was significantly different even though those brands were same B91 size. The results of ready-made jackets' pattern analysis, size differences among patterns have influenced wearing fitness. The basic numerical formula for the jacket pattern considered elderly women's somatotype were as follows; $B/4+2{\pm}0.2{\sim}0.5$(difference of front and back), $W/4+2{\pm}0.2{\sim}0.5$(difference of front and back), H/4+2~7(ease amount), armhole depth B/4, chest width B/6+1, back width B/6+3 and back neck width B/12+0.5. According to the results of the developed jacket's appearance evaluation, it earned higher scores in silhouette and ease amount, confirming that the developed jacket is appropriate for the elderly women. Also, in the evaluation on space length, the developed jacket pattern was evaluated to allow proper space length in all around of measurement parts.

중학생의 규칙적인 운동이 기초체력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Regular Exercises on Basic Physical Fitness for Middle School Students)

  • The main purpose of this thesis was to provide a basis to investigate the effectiveness of regular exercises on basic physical fitness for middle school students. 40 second graders from a middle school were chosen randomly and divided into 4 groups-wrestling group, basketball group, jogging group, and control group. The first three groups have been trained 4 times per week for 18 weeks after class to be compared with the comparison group. Pre and post measurements of physical fitness of the subjects were processed by means of the SPSS program. The average and the standard deviation of the measurements of each group were covered with the ANOVA test, according to the periods and the types of training. Duncan's Multiple Range Test was performed to identify the significance of the relationship between training period and improvement in basic sports ability. The conclusions as follows; 1. In the 50 meter sprint, only the wrestling group showed statistical significance, while the other groups showed gradual progress in general. 2. In the standing long jump, there is no group that showed any improvement. 3. In the forward flexion of the trunk, no significance was to be found. 4. In 30-second sit-ups, the wrestling group showed statistical significance. The wrestling group made greater progress than the other groups, and the basketball group and the jogging group also showed rather great progress. 5. In push-ups, statistical significance was found in the groups of wrestling, basketball, and jogging. And the wrestling group came in first, the basketball group second, and the jogging group third on the progress level. 6. In the distance run, the jogging group showed statistical significance and the jogging group made considerable progress. Steady improvement was to be found in the groups of wrestling and basketball.

비만학생을 위한 전통놀이 중심 비만관리 협동학습프로그램의 효과 (Effects of the Traditional Play-centered Obesity Control Program for Obese Elementary School Children based on Cooperative Learning Theory)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of the Traditional Play-centered Obesity Control Cooperative Learning Program based on the cooperative learning theory on obesity rate, physical fitness, self-esteem, and body image specifically in obese elementary school children. Methods: The research design for this study was based on a non- equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The study was conducted from September, 5 to November 30, 2012. The subjects included 74 obese children ($Exp.=25^{(a)}$, $Com.=24^{(b)}$, $Cont.=25^{(c)}$) with an obesity rate above 20% at an elementary school in G City. Data analysis was performed using SPSS/WIN 18.0, using Chi-square test, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe test. Results: The obesity rate (F=4.033, p<.022) in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the group (Com, Cont), in which the Traditional Play-Centered Obesity Control Cooperative Learning Program was not implemented. Self-esteem (F=4.310, p<.017) also caused significant differences.   • Purpose: This research was conducted to determine the effects of fall prevention exercise and education on physical fitness, fall efficacy, and fall prevention behavior among community-dwelling older adults. Methods: This study applied nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected from January 8th to March 4th, 2015. There were 24 subjects in the experimental group and 21 in the control group from two different senior citizen center in B city. The fall prevention program consisted of exercise, education, and telephone coaching was developed using self-efficacy theory: 'Performance accomplishment', 'Vicarious experience', 'Verbal persuasion', 'Emotional arousal'. Then, it was conducted once a week for 8 weeks. Data were analyzed with $x^2$ test and t-test using the SPSS program. Results: The findings indicated that fall prevention program conducted on older adults is good for improving their muscular strength in lower extremities (t=6.25, p<.001), physical balance (t=2.66, p=.014), physical flexibility (t=2.88, p<.001) and fall prevention behavior (t=6.19, p<.001). Conclusion: The fall prevention program can be used for community-dwelling older adults as a nursing intervention that enables older adults to enhance their self-care continuously. It is necessary to conduct a follow-up study to see if a self-help meeting could improve self-efficacy.
