Generally, HDDs are widely used as data storage device in office, home and mobile machineries. So, it is used for various applications or tasks, such as file copy, file download, music and movie play etc., in various environment. In spite of this kind of varieties in tasks and environment in which HDDs perform, most commercial HDDs hardly control its operations adaptively to these varieties. Thus, it is preferred to optimize the performance and energy consumption of HDDs according to the task and/or the environment. So, this paper proposes a new fuzzy inference algorithm which adaptively controls HDDs operations and may also easily be implemented as the firmware of HDDs and run in the restricted environment such as embedded systems.

차세대 DVD system의 audio 규격인 Dolby AC-3를 구현하는 방법으로 DSP 프로세서인 TMSC80을 사용하여 실시간 처리 가능한 하드웨어 바탕의 firmware 소프트웨어를 개발하는 방법으로 구현하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 TMS320C80을 바탕으로 한 하드웨어 구현에 관해 논의한다. 하드웨어의 구조는 TMS320C80과 시스템 메모리로의 DRAM, 오디오 입력부인 ADC, 입력 데이터를 효과적으로 사용하기 위한 FIFO menory, 오디오 출력용인 dac, 디버깅 및 통신포트로 USB, RS-232,LPT와 MPEG-2 encoding보드 등 다른 보드와 연계를 위한 local-bus를 위한 dual port ram으로 구성된다. 오디오 입력은 최대 24bit 48kHz sampling까지 받을 수 있다.

With the progress of information-oriented society, many device with advanced technologies invented by many companies. However, the current firmware technologies have many problems to meet such high level of new Technologies, Recently it become necessary new manufactures of information-oriented society to require such embedded operating system as their system-level platform. Embedded linux, which could be on alternative proposal of existing high-cost embedded operating system, become available commercially by many companies Linux has many programs, But, embedded databases require very high cost. In this paper, we suggest ERT DE which has a small size and is suitable for embedded real-time technologies.

In this paper, we present the AMI System mentioned as one of the main application areas in the M2M. To enable the AMI, it is essentially required to install, deploy and manage all the devices. Especially, Device Management technology is considered to be suitable for these AMI due to its advantages like, easy installation, remote FW/SW upgradeability. We investigate the fundamental operation of the DM and the design of the DM in the AMI is presented.

In this paper, we implemented active noise control systems for active barriers with attenuation of road noise. And then we constructed by multi-channel audio systems and DAQ part, high performance DSP H/W. Active noise control firmware program was implemented for multi-channel off-line/on-line estimation methods for secondary path transfer functions and FIR/IIR filter structure main noise control algorithms. To evaluate performance of implemented systems, active barriers test bed was implemented and several experiments was performed by various noise cases.

On the emergence of ISDN which has been introduced in the year 1980, various services are supported. This paper presents implementation of ISDN user/network protocol analyzer based on PC-extension card. Firmware and software are loaded on the PC-extension card using PC 05. The performance analysis on D-channel signalling on this system is surveyed. The monitoring results satisfiy with ISDN BRI or PRI interfaces.

국내 스마트 그리드 산업 발달이 가속화 됨과 더불어 스마트 미터에 대한 표준도 구체화 단계에 접어들고 있다. 현재 한전 표준 저압 전력량계 규격에 원격 펌웨어 업그레이드 기능이 추가가 되면서 기존 스마트 미터에 기능을 추가하기 위한 방법에 업계의 관심이 쏠리고 있으며, 물리적인 원격 펌웨어 업그레이드 방법에 대한 1차적인 접근뿐 아니라 미터의 기능에 최적화 되기 위한 업그레이드 과정의 구성방법, 안정적이고 강인한 펌웨어 전송 및 업그레이드를 위한 구체적인 방법까지 총체적으로 연구될 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 원격 펌웨어 업그레이드 방법을 위한 일반적인 방법들에 대한 고찰과 장 단점을 논하고 실제 하드웨어를 구성하여 DLMS프로토콜을 통해 원격업데이트 기능을 구현하였다.

In this paper, we study and develope a special secure Dongle to be adapted in GSM SmartPhone for secure voice communication to the serial 20-pin connector in SmartPhone. We design and implement the Dongle module hardware, firmware, and software including cipher crypto-synchronization and cipher algorithm. Also we study and emulate the SmartPhone GUI software interface including communication software module to the Dongle. Finally, we analyze the performances of crypto-synchronization in some noisy environment and also we test the secure Dongle module.

기존의 엔진제어기(ECU)는 주요 mapping data(ECU에 대응되는 값)들에 대해서 기밀성과 무결성을 제공하는 보호 기법의 부재로 인해 임의적인 튜닝이 가능하다는 특징이 존재하였다. 이로 인해 자칫 잘못된 튜닝이나 악의적인 조작이 발생할 수 있는 여지가 있으며, 이는 차량 엔진 및 조작의 안정성을 떨어뜨림과 동시에 운전자 및 보행자들의 안전을 위협할 수 있다는 문제가 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 ECU에 적용되는 Firmware의 주요 mapping data를 안전하게 암호화하는 방식을 제안하며, 이 과정에서는 차량의 식별 및 ECU에 mapping 되는 data의 무결성 검증을 위해 인증서를 사용하는 방식을 제안한다. 본 논문의 제안을 통해 주요 mapping data를 안전하게 보호하는 기술을 통해 차량의 안전성을 유지할 수 있다.

전력거래 계량시스템은 회원사의 계량기가 생성한 계량데이터를 주기적으로 취득하고 이로부터 계량값을 산출한 후, 산출된 시간대별 계량값을 타 시장시스템에 전송하는 기능을 수행한다. 이는 전자상거래 시스템과 연계하여 회원사 계량값을 공개하는 전력거래 핵심 시스템이다. 현재 계량데이터 취득 방식은 전용선 및 공중선에 기반한 유선방식 위주로, 복수 개의 전용선 모뎀을 취합하여 계량서버에 연계하기 위하여 FEP를 도입 운영하고 있으며, 현재 운영 중인 FEP보다 향상된 FEP용 펌웨어를 신규 개발하고 있다.
