This paper is concerned with the Performance and Reliability Certification for fire detection system in outdoor area such small and middle sized cultural assets, natural monument and outdoor facilities. Especially, if a fire were to occur in vulnerable area, it is difficulty to detect a fire. therefore we propose a high efficiency and low cost unmanned fire detection system in capable of an early detection regardless spontaneously fire or firebug. for Adoption of Intelligent Fire Detection System with movable and unmanned function breaking from the existing Conventional Fire Detection System, this Range of R&D includes the Performance test, Function test, Field test, Flame Detection test and EMI/EMS Compliance test. the Result data of Performance test, Function test and Field test is generally good during 3 months. also we checked that thermal variation test and EMI/EMS compliance test are good result data within allowable range. As a result of general test, we verified improvement results that the measure distance of fire detection extend 75 m, the Power of waiting time increase 4 hours, the Power of operation time increase 3 days and the context awareness with video as well as sensors.
The performance based design in fire detection system, the effect of high airflow and dilution of smoke produced in any fire situation serve to increase the response time of point-type smoke detectors. This study investigated the smoke density of ceiling, under the air stream and in normal status when fire type is smoldering fires. The result of study, smoke generated in the fire was swept away from nearby spot type smoke detector which failed to actuate because dispersed in diluted form around the room. The concept of performance based design in fire detection system of protected area influenced by high airflow provided the need of active fire detection system such as air sampling smoke detection system.
The automatic fire detection system is an important facility installed with focusing on minimizing the damage from a fire. This paper presents in the followings as the methods to reduce the false alarm of the automatic fire detection system; first, to prepare for legal standard so that revised legal standard can be applied to the fire fighting property prior to revision; second, to introduce the performance based fire detection protection design in the law based fire protection design; third, to maintain the wiring of worn-out detector; forth, to introduce an evaluation system to the education for the fire warden; fifth, to extend the standard of MTBF(meantime between failure) of the detector; sixth, to extend of installing the analog type detector; seventh, to improve the structure of reset switch.

This paper presents a fire detection algorithm with a minimal false detection rate, intended for a thermal imaging surveillance environment, whose properties vary depending on temporal conditions of day or night and environmental changes. This algorithm was designed to minimize the false detection alarm rate while ensuring a high detection rate, as required in fire detection applications. It was necessary to reduce false fire detections due to non-flame elements occurring when existing fixed threshold-based fire detection methods were applied. To this end, adaptive flame thresholds that varied depending on the characteristics of input images, as well as the center of gravity of the heat-source and hot-source regions, were analyzed in an attempt to minimize such non-flame elements in the phase of selecting flame candidate blocks. Also, to remove any false detection elements caused by camera shaking, one of the most frequently raised issues at outdoor sites, preliminary decision thresholds were adaptively set to the motion pixel ratio of input images to maximize the accuracy of the preliminary decision. Finally, in addition to the preliminary decision results, the texture correlation and intensity of the flame candidate blocks were averaged for a specific period of time and tested for their conformity with the fire decision conditions before making the final decision. To verify the fire detection performance of the proposed algorithm, a total of ten test videos were subjected to computer simulation. As a result, the fire detection accuracy of the proposed algorithm was determined to be 94.24%, with minimum false detection, demonstrating its improved performance and practicality compared to previous fixed threshold-based algorithms.

In this paper, we propose a fire detection system based on CCTV images using an object tracking technology with YOLOv4 model capable of real-time object detection and a DeepSORT algorithm. The fire detection model was learned from 10800 pieces of learning data and verified through 1,000 separate test sets. Subsequently, the fire detection rate in a single image and fire detection maintenance performance in the image were increased by tracking the detected fire area through the DeepSORT algorithm. It is verified that a fire detection rate for one frame in video data or single image could be detected in real time within 0.1 second. In this paper, our AI fire detection system is more stable and faster than the existing fire accident detection system.
Despite the automatic fire alarm system, according to the national fire data system of national emergency management agency, the fires account for 40,932 incidents, 2,184 injuries and about 430 billion won in property losses in 2013. Since the conventional automatic fire alarm system has several weaknesses related to electrical signal such as noise, surge, lighting, etc. Most fires are mainly caused by electrical faults, mechanical problem, chemical, carelessness and natural. The electrical faults such as line to ground fault, line to line fault, electrical leakage and arc are one of the major problems in fire. This paper describes the development of a novel real-time fire monitoring system algorithm including fault detection function which puts the existing optic smoke and heat detectors for fire detection with current and voltage sensors in order to utility fault monitoring using high accuracy DAQ measurement system with LabVIEW program. The fire detection and electrical fault monitoring with a proposed a new detection algorithm are implemented under several test. The fire detection and monitoring system operates according to the proposed algorithm well.
This study evaluated the fire detection performance of an automatic fire extinguishing system for road tunnels, which combines flame wavelength detection technology with flame image detection technology. This fusion technique to improve the fire detection capability can reduce the damage caused by the fire suppression by locating the fire source in the fire and discharging the pressurized water only at the fire source. Experiments were conducted to determine the position of a fire source when a $70cm{\times}70cm$ target was placed at a distance of 15 m, 20 m, 25 m, 30 m, and 35 m, respectively, in a situation where there is a flame and smoke in a tunnel. The performance of the ultraviolet and triple wavelength infrared (IR3) sensors was attenuated due to the interference of thick smoke. In addition when the flame was blocked by thick smoke, the image sensor sensed the smoke and emitted a fire signal.
Large-scale fires and their consequential damages are becoming increasingly common, but confidence in fire detection systems is waning. Recently, widely-used chemical fire detectors frequently generate lots of false alarms, while video-based deep learning fire detection is hampered by its time-consuming and expensive nature. To tackle these issues, this study proposes a fire detection model utilizing an autoencoder approach. The objective is to minimize false alarms while achieving swift and precise fire detection. The proposed model, employing an autoencoder methodology, can exclusively learn from normal data without the need for fire-related data, thus enhancing its adaptability to diverse environments. By amalgamating data from five distinct sensors, it facilitates rapid and accurate fire detection. Through experiments with various hyperparameter combinations, the proposed model demonstrated that out of 14 scenarios, only one encountered false alarm issues. Experimental results underscore its potential to curtail fire-related losses and bolster the reliability of fire detection systems.

This paper presents a method for early fire detection and fire position determination inside the nacelle of wind turbine generator system. The rising temperature and obscuration rates inside the nacelle were used as parameters for fire detection, which can minimize the possibility of a fire detection malfunction because these rising rates do not depend on the absolute values of temperature and obscuration. The fire position was determined using the time difference among various sensor positions for fire detection. The performance of the method was tasted using sets of experiments in a nacelle simulator.
In this paper, we propose the method of fire detection. A wide distribution of CCTV cameras (Closed Circuit Television) in many public areas can be used not only for video surveillance systems but also for detecting fire occurrence. A proposed approach is based on visual information through a static camera. Video sequences are analyzed to find fire candidates and then spatial analyses procedure for detected fire-like color foreground is carried out. From the simulation results, our method showed the best performance when spatial and temporal fire candidates changes rapidly and close to fire motion.
