  • Fusing press m/c is used for heating and pressing the specimens that are fed into between the two moving belts. Therefore the belt movement, belt temperature, and the pressure between belts must be kept constant. Especially, the belts should move in a limited operation range. When the belts run far out of the operation point, the machine has to be stopped, which results in a product defect because the fusing conditions, e.g., temperature and pressure, change during the transient process time period. It is important to avoid the belt stopping by maintaining the belt movement in a limited range. This study reports about the movement of the endless fusing belt in a long-span roller fusing m/c. The belt position changes as the 1st-order system does; if the roller axes are slanting each other with a certain angle, the belt running around the two rolls shows a dynamic behavior with the time that deviates fastly at the beginning from the initial condion and slows down. Then it reaches at a final position. The skewer the axes, the greater the position change. The inital change rate of the belt becomes large as the skewness of the axes between the two rollers increases.

  • G. B. LEE, A. S. GWON, The Research for Using methodof GRF (Ground Reaction Force) on Rotational Movement in Arabesque. Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics, Vol. 15, No. 2, pp.1-10, 2005. As, in relation to all movements of a human being, the movements such as mutually walking, running, rotating, and jumping are attained endlessly through the ground amid the interaction with the ground, in terms of the harmonious movement of the upper limbs and the lower limbs, related to the basic movement in ballet, the type of a movement depends on the size and direction of the force that presses down the ground (Fz, Fx, Fy) amid the interaction with the ground. Therefore, aiming to correctly and efficiently perform a rotational movement in Arabesque, this study analyzed factors of the force manifestation through GRF (Ground Reaction Force), by dividing into preparing, stepping, standing, rotating, and finishing stages (events (1) ${\sim}$ (5)), targeting the subjects of 4 elite female students who majored in ballet. 1. At the No.5 position of the preparing stage, It is necessary that support the ground with left and right foot balance, 2. As the stepping stage is the phase ranging from the event (2), in which a plie movement of bending a knee is started, to the event (3) of stretching a knee, Rebunding motion is not good, and One have a position with ankle and knee flextion condition in order to stretch strengthly in event (3) position 3. At the event (1) position, It is necessary that exert the Fz reaction force at the event (3) position. Because large stretch force help to have a toe on position easily and show a active motion 4. In order to have a stand and rotation motion smoothly, One need a muscle strength training for ankle extension, knee extension, control horizental force

  • This study aims to investigate whether there is intensionally changing eye - gaze on the cafe space images with floor finishing materials. In the Yarbus' experiment, he argued that changing information that an observer is asked to obtain from an image changes pattern of eye movements. Based on the scan path evidence, this research have questions as (1) the difference of visual attention on finishing floor material stimulus, (2) visual attention of initial activity time and type of movement paths on AOIs, and (3) visual relation floor area with another AOIs. Eye movements were recorded with the SMI REDn Scientific, which sampled eye position at 30Hz and lasted 2 minutes(120s). Although viewing was binocular, only the right eye was tracked. Of the 66 observers(mean age 22 years, standard deviation: ${\pm}1.82$) who participated in the experiment done by the four point calibration and validation procedures at the beginning tasks. Analyzing qualitative data from the number of fixation and duration on AOIs divided into four parts (AOI I-Floor, AOI II-Wall, AOI III-Ceiling, and AOI IV-Counter) in the stimulus. The results from this experiment analyzed as follows. First, it was significant in the difference of the average number of AOIs fixation times observed for the spatial image using the wood tile flooring material and the polishing tile. The wood tile flooring of stimulus had higher fixation number on AOI-II, AOI-III, and AOI-IV than the polishing tile. On seeing AOI-I was higher attention in the polishing tile stimulus. Second, the observers examined AOI-II intensively in both stimuli. However, the visual intensity was also followed by on the AOI-IV and AOI-I in the wood tile flooring stimulus, and on AOI-I, AO-IV in the polishing tile. Third, visual attention data on each AOIs have divided into the time range of "5 sec" for both images. In the wood tile stimulus, the horizontal movement path followed by AOI-II, AOI-IV, and AOI-II. In the polished tile stimulus, the movement path followed by moving vertically to AOI-II, AOI-I, and AOI-II. This study approached meaningfully and found out the characteristics of visual attention, according to the different intentions of visual attention, the relationship pathways of visual mechanism appeared and also activated by eye-tracking experiments.

  • This paper reveals determination of orbital elements of the satellite using GPS data collected by the low-end GPS receiver installed at KITSAT-3 which is a small scientific experimental satellite of Korea and launched in May 1999. An extended Kalman filter is designed for a forward estimation of real-time 3-dimensional position and velocity, and a smoother is used for a backward post-processing estimation of the same states. After finishing estimation of position and velocity, the corresponding orbital elements are estimated. Finally, the result of each orbital element is analyzed.

  • A specialist in the medical field is probably one of the most time-consuming professions to train for before one is considered an expert. Inclusive of medical school, it can take as long as 20 or more years of structured training before one graduates as a new specialist in a particular surgical subspecialty or medical field. A fellowship is often the last official phase in this professional marathon, typically defined as a 1 to 2-year full-on clinical subspecialty experience. One would expect this important "finishing school" to be well researched and written about, however, as compared to other professionals and fields, there is scanty literature on how one can get into a good fellowship program. This is a perspective piece on the intricacies of securing a position in a good fellowship program, drawn from the collective experience of the authors, their colleagues and friends. There are several ways to achieve this and many processes one will encounter. A variety of factors one will need to consider, decide and works towards in this effort of optimizing of their chances of success in getting into their fellowship program of choice. The thought processes, suggestions and solutions at each phase may be helpful. In conclusion, obtaining a choice fellowship position is as much an art as a science, and maybe some luck. Many factors, some more obvious and objective, some softer and more subtle, can all influence the outcome in one way or another.

  • An experimental study was carried out to investigate gasification process of wood sawdust in the 1-dimensional downdraft fixed bed gasifier. The preheated air which was used oxidizer and steam were used as a gasifying agent. The downdraft fixed bed gasifier obtains more amount of hydrogen and methane by increasing residence time of supplied air. The operating parameters, the supplied air temperature and steam were used. The oxidizer temperature was varied from 500K to 620K and vapor was added. The gasification process was monitored by measuring temperature at three position near the biomass using R-type thermocouples and the syngas composition was analyzed by gas chromatograph. We get the sample gas at the end of gasifier and it was eonugh time to finishing the chemical reaction. Finally, the amount of hydrogen and methane were increased widely as increasing the oxidizer temperature and adding steam.

  • This paper presents a method of grinding and polishing automation of precision die after CNC machining. The method employs a robot system equipped with a pneumatic spindle and a special abrasive film pad. The robote program is automatically generated off-line from a PC and downloaded to robot controller. Position and orientation data for the program is supplied from cutter contact (CC) data of NC machining process. This eliminates separate robot teaching process. This paper aims at practical automation of die finishing process which is very time consuming and suffering from shortage of workpeople. Time loss for changeover from one product to next is eliminated by off-line programming exploiting appropriate NC machining data. Dextrous 6-axis robot with rigid wrist and simple tooling enables the process applicable to larger, rather complex 3 dimensional free surfaces

  • This paper describes a new method for measuring the changes in specific surface asperities arising from processes such as finishing, coating, wear and corrosion. In repetitive measurements, relocation device gives the same position and orientation so that specific profile can be obtained. A low-cost relocation device is designed and its performance is assessed. The error in relocation process is compensated by statistic compensation algorithm. And, a removing process of cusp by grinding is observed by the proposed method.
