  • Firms often collaborate on building an infrastructure, which benefits all the firms in the industry, although in unequal magnitudes. Then a difficult and tricky issue is concerned with 'free riding.' Should there be only 'common, i.e., industry-wide' benefits in such collaboration, the literature indicated that the free rider problem is unavoidable, In this paper, however, we suggest that while collaborating, the firm also learns firm-specific knowledge, experience, and know-how, which can be directly utilized for its own internal improvement. That is, the collaboration between firms provides them with not only 'industry-wide,' but also 'firm-specific' benefits, Our analysis shows that if there indeed exist two types of benefits simultaneously, depending on the balance between the two, the free rider problem can be mitigated or even eliminated.

  • We study the possibility of entering into helicopter market with respect to demand, industry structure and infrastructure. In conclusion, it is possible to enter into it based on domestic demand if we complement some technology, financial assistance system and helicopter operation related regulation. Strategy is made for helicopter industry to be a growth driver and then we suggest five projects to carry out it. Those are lasting creation of helicopter demand, possession of core part material and competitive technology, construction of airworthiness certification system and infrastructure for activation of helicopter operation, improvement of financial assistance system and finally strengthening policy modulation between civil, army, and government.

  • Despite growing interest and attention from researchers and practitioners in management studies, empirical research has been limited on how factors that influence an organization's business performance are affected by certain characteristics of enterprise information systems (IS), such as maturity and infrastructure. This study reports on an empirical analysis of survey data to identify relationships among the informatization level, the business environment, and IS maturity and infrastructure related to business performance-based on financial and non-financial performance measurements-from the perspective of 136 Taiwan firms. The survey questionnaire respondents were drawn from individuals in each of these firms who were typically working in divisions related to business performance functions. Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses that came from the research model in this study.

Hence, in this study we tried to build theories systematically, which are related to rate of return of private infrastructure investment to promote SOC private infrastructure investment to last successfully and present the proper level of rate of return of private infrastructure we investment appropriate in domestic situations through diverse analysis. Therefore, to present reasonable rate of return, we used 5 methods: existing research analysis, case study, financial index analysis, analysis of investors rate of return, and analysis of rate of return in a real estate market. After comparing and analyzing these methods, Ive presented in the end the appropriate level of rate of return of private infrastructure investment, which can be applied in a domestic market.
