The rapid development of China's digital economy has enabled China to lead the world in financial technology (FinTech). In this context, it is imperative to study the impact of FinTech at the macro level on the sources of R&D financing for micro-enterprises. Using the data of A-share listed companies on the main boards of China's Shanghai and Shenzhen cities and the municipal-level FinTech development index from 2011 to 2020, this paper conducts an empirical test by applying the system generalized method of moments estimation (system GMM). Fintech facilitates firms' external financing of R&D. There is significant heterogeneity across different types of firms, with fintech facilitating R&D financing more strongly for young and non-state firms. This study not only complements the literature on the impact of fintech on R&D financing but also has essential practical guidance significance, which can provide valuable guidance and assistance to different types of enterprises in their R&D financing decision-making process.
Purpose: Regional gaps and conflicts between regions due to Korea's economic development and industrialization have become important issues, and the issue of balanced regional development at regional level has been discussed as the size of the region has increased recently. Although evaluation of regional balance was attempted through various regional balanced development indexes, it is inappropriate as a standard for determining regional balance in Seoul. Therefore, this study aims to develop objective evaluation methodologies and evaluation indicators for balanced development of administrative districts in Seoul, not existing city and national units. Methods: We looked at existing regional balanced development indexes, and suggested a new regional balanced index reflecting regional development, backwardness, and spatial characteristics in Seoul using factor analysis. Results: As a result of factor analysis, the regional balanced development index for administrative districts and administrative dongs consists of two factors (regional revitalization, financial power) and three factors (commercial density, social security demand, regional retardness), respectively. Then the regional balanced development index scores for 116 administrative districts and 423 administrative dongs are calculated by multiplying each factor by a weight obtained through experts' survey. Conclusion: The proposed regional balanced development index can be used as an objective and quantitative basis for regional balanced development within a city. Further research may include continuously adding new indicators that reflect the direction and scale of development.
The recent global financial crisis has been the outcome of, among other things, the mismatch between institutions and the reality of the market in the current global financial system. The International financial institutions (IFIs) that were designed more than 60 years ago can no longer effectively meet the challenges posed by the current global economy. While the global financial market has become integrated like a single market, there is no international lender of last resort or global regulatory body. There also has been a rapid shift in the weight of economic power. The share of the Group of 7 (G7) countries in global gross domestic product (GDP) fell and the share of emerging market economies increased rapidly. Therefore, the tasks facing us today are: (i) to reform the IFIs -mandate, resources, management, and governance structure; (ii) to reform the system such as the international monetary system (IMS), and regulatory framework of the global financial system; and (iii) to reform global economic governance. The main focus of this paper will be the IMS reform and the role of the Group of Twenty (G20) summit meetings. The current IMS problems can be summarized as follows. First, the demand for foreign reserve accumulation has been increasing despite the movement from fixed exchange rate regimes to floating rate regimes some 40 years ago. Second, this increasing demand for foreign reserves has been concentrated in US dollar assets, especially public securities. Third, as the IMS relies too heavily on the supply of currency issued by a center country (the US), it gives an exorbitant privilege to this country, which can issue Treasury bills at the lowest possible interest rate in the international capital market. Fourth, as a related problem, the global financial system depends too heavily on the center country's ability to maintain the stability of the value of its currency and strength of its own financial system. Fifth, international capital flows have been distorted in the current IMS, from EMEs and developing countries where the productivity of capital investment is higher, to advanced economies, especially the US, where the return to capital investment is lower. Given these problems, there have been various proposals to reform the current IMS. They can be grouped into two: demand-side and supply-side reform. The key in the former is how to reduce the widespread strong demand for foreign reserve holdings among EMEs. There have been several proposals to reduce the self-insurance motivation. They include third-party insurance and the expansion of the opportunity to borrow from a global and regional reserve pool, or access to global lender of last resort (or something similar). However, the first option would be too costly. That leads us to the second option - building a stronger globalfinancial safety net. Discussions on supply-side reform of the IMS focus on how to diversify the supply of international reserve currency. The proposals include moving to a multiple currency system; increased allocation and wider use of special drawing rights (SDR); and creating a new global reserve currency. A key question is whether diversification should be encouraged among suitable existing currencies, or if it should be sought more with global reserve assets, acting as a complement or even substitute to existing ones. Each proposal has its pros and cons; they also face trade-offs between desirability and political feasibility. The transition would require close collaboration among the major players. This should include efforts at the least to strengthen policy coordination and collaboration among the major economies, and to reform the IMF to make it a more effective institution for bilateral and multilateral surveillance and as an international lender of last resort. The success on both fronts depends heavily on global economic governance reform and the role of the G20. The challenge is how to make the G20 effective. Without institutional innovations within the G20, there is a high risk that its summits will follow the path of previous summit meetings, such as G7/G8.

In the service industry the types are diversifying and the scale of service companies is greatly improving. Such a phenomenon is caused by economic growth and technological development diversifying consumer needs creating demand for new services maturing the service industry and intensifying competition among companies in the form of global competition. It can be said that this is because it is necessary to improve competitiveness by utilizing the economy of scale. Research is needed on the impact of entrepreneurship on various outcome variables in order for service organization managers to respond quickly to diverse and rapidly changing environments and achieve organizational outcomes and corporate goals of management outcomes. The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the relationship in which the entrepreneurial spirit of a manager influences the relationship between customer orientation, which is an organizational result, customer satisfaction, and financial result, which is a management result. In order to verify such research, the questionnaire was composed of one business owner questionnaire, two employee questionnaires, and two customer questionnaires. The questionnaire was distributed to a total of 400 companies, and the questionnaires of 340 companies were collected. Of these, 303 companies, excluding the questionnaires of 37 companies with many dishonest or missing values, were used for hypothesis testing. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, entrepreneurship had a positive (+) effect on customer orientation, supporting the hypothesis. Second, customer orientation showed a positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction, supporting the hypothesis. Third, customer satisfaction showed a positive (+) effect on financial outcomes, supporting the hypothesis. Fourth, it was found that entrepreneurship influences customer satisfaction through customer orientation, and customer satisfaction affects financial outcomes. It turns out that customer orientation between entrepreneurship and customer satisfaction is completely mediated, and customer satisfaction is completely mediated by customer orientation and financial outcomes. The relationship between entrepreneurship and management improved employee behavior and attitudes, which is an individual outcome, and this change was found to improve customer satisfaction, which is an organizational outcome. It makes frequent contact with customers in the process of servicing them. Employee roles are important at service contacts and influence service purchases. Employees facing customers through service contacts act as a decisive factor in maintaining a continuous relationship with customers. Within a beauty service company, it is necessary to create a customer-oriented environment among workers. It suggests that customer-oriented companies and employees can anticipate their desires and provide products or services of superior value to achieve greater customer satisfaction and a competitive advantage. In addition, it was clarified that customer satisfaction has an aspect relationship with financial management, which is a management result. Therefore, it is suggested that the entrepreneurial spirit is an important factor for the management of a beauty service company to secure competitiveness and improve results.
This paper analyzes the changes in financial reform during the Kim Jong-un era based on North Korean literature. We find that North Korea has systematically and functionally separated the central bank from commercial banks since the Kim Jong-un era began. In addition, enterprises have been allowed to withdraw cash from bank accounts and make inter-enterprise cash payments. In other words, nowadays non-cash currencies with passive money can partially serve as active money with purchasing power. With the systematic and functional separation of the central bank and the commercial bank, the issuance of the central bank changed to a money supply method through the commercial bank, and changes in the currency distribution structure have allowed commercial bank's credit creation function to be implemented. This means that the banking system and the monetary·payment system of the socialist planned economy are changing in the way of the market economy. Reforms in the financial sector are believed to have been necessary to support changes in the economic system and to restore the function of the public financial sector. These changes have progressed in terms of the level of reform, but they are still considered similar to the period of the former Soviet Union's Perestroika or to the early period of China's reform and opening. Although North Korea's financial reform is superior in terms of enacting the banking law, it is insufficient in terms of realizing the functions of commercial banks. In addition, it is assessed that institutional constraints such as maintaining a planned economy, and the lack of confidence in public finances limit the effectiveness and development of the financial system. It should be noted that these results are based on literature published in North Korea. In other words, there is a limit in the fact that such recent changes have been carried out on a trial basis in some areas, or have been carried out in a full-scale manner with a blueprint, since Kim Jong-un's inauguration.
For effective watershed management, it is very important to select the tributaries through selection and concentration of targeted tributary catchments for improving water quality within the limited financial conditions. This study introduced the selection and diagnosis procedure of tributary catchments for improving water quality at Chungcheongnam-do based on water quality and flowrate monitoring, stream grouping method. The tributaries with high value of water quality and flowrate were selected for improving water quality according to stream grouping method. The diagnosis of selected tributaries for improving water quality was performed with analysis of the pollution load (generated, discharged, delivered) and point source discharged pollution load density. The plans for improving water quality of tributaries were suggested thorough various diagnosis of tributary catchments. For improving water quality of tributaries in Chungcheongnam-do, the tributary catchments in the Dangjin, Asan, Yesan, Cheonan, Hongseong area should be preferentially considered. The water quality improving plans for those tributary catchments, in accordance with the reduction of sources of pollution by population and livestock, should be established.
This paper introduces the Cryptocurrency Market Potential Index (CMPI) in order to measure the potential of the blockchain-backed cryptocurrency. Adopting the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) system as a conceptual framework, the whole process from development to implementation and adoption of blockchain-backed cryptocurrency are examined. This paper selects 30 variables and employs factor analysis for multivariate analysis to produce the CMPI for a total of 213 countries. The results show that although cryptocurrency is decentralized, its development and usage might still be very centralized in Europe, North America, hotspots in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and CIS regions. This result also highlights how important development and implementation are before adoption so that consequent financial transactions can take place.

This research intends to make a model of space development in Korea as a sectoral innovation system. The main contents include a character analysis of the elements of three low levels of the space development innovation system, including governance (the main agent and cooperation relationship of which the center is a research institute supported by government), resources (financial resources and human resources), and the diffusion of research results. It is important to grasp the factors that bring about technological innovation of industrial sectors to produce technological innovation policy. Technology innovation policy should thus be formulated for specific, individual sectors, and not all sectors.

The objectives of this study were 1) to explore the present status of extension services of agricultural experiment station, and 2) to get some implications for ameliorating extension services of agricultural experiment station. The data were collected through the semi-constructed interviews with 11 agricultural researchers in 6 local agricultural experiment stations and 11 farmers who have ever made contact with the researchers. The major findings of this study were as follows: The agricultural experiment stations were providing extension services as expedients to accommodate to new markets and structural changes of organizations, though they are originally research-oriented agencies. The extension methods of agricultural experiment stations were similar with those of extension agencies, and the extension methods used mainly were 'experiment plot demonstration exhibition', 'consultation using telephone, internet, face to face meeting', 'visiting farms and consulting'. These were generally carried out by farmer's request, therefore the extension services of agricultural experiment stations were provided in a passive way so far. Based on the results of this study, the followings are recommended for further development of extension services of agricultural experiment station: The rural development organizations should set principles and support for extension services of agricultural experiment stations. The alternative plans to strengthen the linkage between research and extension have to be made, and these plans should include financial, personnel and systematic arrangements for further development of extension services of agricultural experiment stations.
