  • This is a case study of Gangnam S University Hospital applying a par level transfer system for reagent materials. The purpose of this study is evaluated on the cutting down on inventory expenses and medical service revenue in the point of resource based view. The data was acquired through the financial statement of Gangnam S Hospital for the fiscal year 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, and compared with the Korea health industry statistics index for hospital accounts based on the materials in Korea Health Industry Development Institute. The results of the study are as follows. Medical reagent materials expenditure cut down as 305 million won through 2009 fiscal year. Medical profits for the Gangnam S University hospital's income statement in 2011 show well over acquired 3.37 billion won through the enlarged diagnostic test numbers. In conclusion, Gangnam S University Hospital health statistics's index shows very high profits. The results of this study have some limitations in terms of generalization as only one hospital in Seoul. Further studies with relationship inventory performance and enlarged reagent materials are expected in this area.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the allocation criteria types in transferring economic resources to adult children from the adult-childhood of children to parent's death based on theoretical backgrounds. The research results can be summarized as follows: 1) The mean of allocation criterion of exchange was the highest, the next was the criterion of compensation, and the criterion related birth factors was the lowest. 2) Allocation criteria dimensions of economic resources transfers composed of compensation, exchange, and birth factors were classified into 4 types: $\circled1$ the type that parents transfer to compensate economic status of children, $\circled2$ the type that parents transfer more resources to children who take more care of their parents, $\circled3$ the type that parents transfer more resources to primogeniture or sons, $\circled4$ the mixed type that uses the exchange criterion, the compensation criterion, and the criterion related birth factors. 3) The variables which have significance on the types of allocation criteria were age, the number of children, and marital status. The results of the study suggests the implications of income redistribution policy, financial resource management and saving products development, and the law to motivate care of parents.

  • The importance of efficient construction site management has been growing as the amount of construction information increases which is used in the growing construction site. Accordingly in this study, we are trying to find out the application situation and possibility of BIM through theoretical examination and domestic & overseas case study of BIM and we are trying to suggest the way of efficient construction site management formulation through implementation phase-oriented and cooperation entity-oriented analysis in the construction site. We found out that it was possible to minimize time loss and financial loss by visualizing 2D drawings through 3D modeling of target building by applying BIM and that it was possible to improve accuracy of budget planning with quantitative information of 3D model, to plan construction process with more confidence due to accurate architectural information of drawings and quantitative information, and to manage cost and quality through process management based on construction information acquired by BIM including object information by part. It is concluded that we can improve efficiency of construction management between field and each cooperating entity by integrating and linking BIM information through this process.

  • The introduction of a ubiquitous environment has realized commercial ubiquitous services in various industrial fields and government area. The central and/or local governments are demanding an appropriate investment evaluation model for ubiquitous service. Thus, this study develops and suggests an evaluation model for ubiquitous service by reflecting its characteristic of promoting public good, as well as its broad ripple effect on people. The investment evaluation model for ubiquitous service suggested by this study is based on Cost Benefit Analysis Method. Especially, the 'Benefit' is analyzed in two aspects; 'Economic Benefit', which shows the benefit that ubiquitous service providers to the overall local economy, and; 'Financial Benefit', which shows the profit of individual investors participating in the introduction of ubiquitous service. The investment evaluation model for ubiquitous service suggested by this study can be used by the central and/or local government during their evaluation for investment before introducing a ubiquitous service. Also, when introducing a ubiquitous service in public field, the model can be used to support the decision making of private businesses for investment. Finally, it can be used to promote and inform the expected benefits of introducing a ubiquitous service to local residents.

  • This study investigates the reasons of dropout in a survey of 348 dropouts from a cyber university located in Seoul, Korea. Most common reasons are time constraints due to work or family-related needs. Difficulties in adjusting to online learning environment and uncertainties regarding the value of a cyber university degree also played important roles. Drop-out students who pointed to these two reasons also suffered from lack of communication and interaction with other students and professors. Efforts to address these issues are in order as well as the development of time-efficient learning strategies and financial aids.

  • Premise was needed to develop and utilize forestland for productive use. First, the market price of forestlands should be fixed on a reasonable level. Secondly, it should be ascertained whether efficient and economical use of capital is possible when individual investors intend to develop the forestland. Therefore, this study recommends the method for estimating the market price of forestland and theoretical methodology on feasibility of development promotion for individual investors.

  • Failures of super large projects like IT Upgrade of Shinhan Financial Group can be a heavy blow not only to the company but even to the national economy. Research on the practices of risk management in those projects will provide invaluable lessons, enhancing capabilities and chances of successfully executing mission critical projects of the companies and the national economy as a whole. This paper analyzes the risk management of the Core Systems Reconstruction which was the most critical component of IT Upgrade. The analysis covers risk management plans, and identification and evolution, and control and monitoring of risk factors. This study confirms the major results of previous research on risk management in Korea. However, the analysis found as well some discrepancies of practices from the previous research results. This research also tracked the trajectories of evolution of risk factors and management. In particular, in depth analysis of control and monitoring is the first research in Korea on the "management" of risks in IT projects. The result of this research is expected to be a useful guide for theory development and practices of risk management in the future.

  • Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) is rapidly growing the attention of many firms as a care technology for their businesses. As RFID moves into the mainstream, it replaces the standard barcodes that is used to identify and track products for a long time. With the intention of gaining competitive advantages, some firms have started the changeover to RFID technology while others have been disinclined to adopt it. Thus, this study examines firms as an attempt to identify key organizational characteristics driving the ear1y adoption and successful implementation of RFID. Results from 228 adopting organizations show Organizational Needs(Ubiquity and Performance Gaps), Technological Factors(Perceived Benefits and Perceived Cost Savings) and RFID Reduced Risk have a significant influence on RFID initiation. In addition, Trust Factors(Institutional Trusts and Inter-organizational Trusts) have a significant impact on RFID Reduced Risk. Finally, Organizational Readiness(Financial Resources and Technological Knowledge) have a significant influence as moderating effects between RFID initiation and adoption. The implications of the findings propose a new theoretical framework for the future IT/IS adoption study and offer suggestions for RFID researchers and practitioners in the development of the technology.
