A Clustering Algorithm for Handling Missing Data (손실 데이터를 처리하기 위한 집락분석 알고리즘)

  • In the ubiquitous environment, there has been a problem of transmitting data from various sensors at a long distance. Especially, in the process of integrating data arriving at different locations, data having different property values of data or having some loss in data had to be processed. This paper present a method to analyze such data. The core of this method is to define an objective function suitable for the problem and to develop an algorithm that can optimize this objective function. The objective function is used by modifying the OCS function. MFA (Mean Field Annealing), which was able to process only binary data, is extended to be applicable to fields with continuous values. It is called CMFA and used as an optimization algorithm.

  • This paper proposes a geoacoustic inversion method for the experimental data or MAPLE 2004 experiment conducted in the East Sea of Korea in 2004 and shows source tracking test results to validate the Proposed inversion method. An objective function is defined as a correlation function of the measured and the simulated transmission loss data. The measured transmission data were obtained using a multi-tonal towed source and VLA. The VFSA (Very Fast Simulated Annealing) is applied to the inversion Problem which optimizes the objective function. After performing the inversion process for the S frequencies tonal data independently. geoacoustic models are constructed. Finally matched-field source tracking is Performed using the inverted parameters to verify them.

Magneto-impedance effect of CoFeSiBNi amorphous magnetic films (CoFeSiBNi 아몰퍼스 합금의 자기-임피던스 효과)

  • Soft ferromagnetic materials are very useful for many sensors using magnetic materials demanding high permeability, low coercivity and low hysteresis loss. Among them, FeCoSiBNi amorphous magnetic films show a good impedance change (about 5.01 %/Oe, at 10 MHz) by the exterinal magnetic field in this experiment. The magnetic films are produced by melt-spun method, one of the rapid solidification process. Ribbon shape wires were made from the films, and let them annealed in DC magnetic field to increase the maximum Giant Magneto Impedance ratio. Field annealing decreases the stress and changes the effective anisotropy. Thus, we can find that the impedance change (200.47 %) is improved and the fabricated magnetic wire has characteristics of good sensor element.

Effect of Dopants on Cobalt Silicidation Behavior at Metal-oxide-semiconductor Field-effect Transistor Sidewall Spacer Edge

  • Cobalt silicidation at sidewall spacer edge of Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors (MOSFETs) with post annealing treatment for capacitor forming process has been investigated as a function of dopant species. Cobalt silicidation of nMOSFET with n-type Lightly Doped Drain (LDD) and pMOSFET with p-type LDD produces a well-developed cobalt silicide with its lateral growth underneath the sidewall spacer. In case of pMOSFET with n-type LDD, however, a void is formed at the sidewall spacer edge with no lateral growth of cobalt silicide. The void formation seems to be due to a retarded silicidation process at the LDD region during the first Rapid Thermal Annealing (RTA) for the reaction of Co with Si, resulting in cobalt mono silicide at the LDD region. The subsequent second RTA converts the cobalt monosilicide into cobalt disilicide with the consumption of Si atoms from the Si substrate, producing the void at the sidewall spacer edge in the Si region. The void formed at the sidewall spacer edge serves as a resistance in the current-voltage characteristics of the pMOSFET device.

Annealing Effect and Tunability of BaZr0.08Ti0.92O3 Polycrystal Grown in N2 Gas Atmosphere by Floating Zone Technique (Floating Zone Technique법으로 질소분위기 하에서 성장한 BaZr0.08Ti0.92O3 다결정의 Tunability 및 열처리 효과)

  • In the atmosphere of $N_2$ gas, BaZ $r_{0.08}$ $Ti_{0.92}$ $O_3$ polycrystal was grown by floating zone technique using BaZ $r_{0.08}$ $Ti_{0.92}$ $O_3$ ceramics as a feed and SrTi $O_3$(1l0) single cystal as a seed. The dielectric constant and loss at 10 kHz, 100 kHz, and 1 MHz for the as-grown sample were measured as a function of temperature in the temperature range between -10$0^{\circ}C$ and 150 $^{\circ}C$ to find a dielectric peak with frequency dispersion at Curie point. The hysteresis loop showed that the grown sample had very small polarization which was 0-0.01 $\mu$C/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for the applied dc-electric fields from -7 kV/cm to +7 kV/cm. However, the normal hysteresis loop was appeared after oxygen annealing. The electric-field dependence of the dielectric constant for both the as-grown and the post-annealed samples was studied by measuring the dielectric constants as a function of the biased-electric fields and their tunability was figured out from it at room temperature(27 $^{\circ}C$) and cryotemperature( -73$^{\circ}C$). Tunability for the as-grown sample was 51 % and the figure of merit 20.4 at 10kHz with the biased electric-field of 12 kV/cm. The tunability for the grown sample may be increased up to 80 % if the electric field of 25 kV/cm is applied. Tunability for the post-annealed sample was 41 % and the figure of merit 10.3 at 10 kHz with the biased electric-field of 12 kV /cm. Post-annealing improved the crystallinity of the as-grown sample but decreased its tunability.ability.

Growth of La0.35Pr0.35Ca0.3MnO3/LaAlO3 Thin Film using Laser Molecular-Beam Epitaxy and its Magnetic Properties (Laser Molecular-Beam Epitaxy를 이용한 La0.35Pr0.35Ca0.3MnO3/LaAlO3 초격자 박막의 합성과 그 자기적 특성의 연구)

  • We successfully grew $La_{0.35}Pr_{0.35}Ca_{0.3}MnO_3$(LPCMO)/$LaAlO_3$(LAO) thin film using Laser Molecular-Beam Epitaxy and studied post-growth annealing effects ($750^{\circ}C$, 5 h) on its crystal structural and magnetic properties. Whereas the single-layered LPCMO and LPCMO/STO superlattice thin films show rough surface before and after the post-growth annealing, LPCMO/LAO superlattice shows a relatively very flat surface even after the post-growth annealing. The enhancement of ferromagnetism of LPCMO/LAO superlattice after the post-growth annealing was remarkable compared to the single-layered LPCMO thin film. The coercive and saturation magnetic field of the single-layed LPCMO thin film were decreased after the post-annealing. However, for LPCMO/LAO superlattice, a same coercive and increased saturation magnetic field were exhibited after post-growth annealing. We suggest that these peculiar observations are originate from the super-structure of LPCMO and LAO.

Characteristics of Plasma Polymer Thin Films for Low-dielectric Application

  • This study investigated the interaction of varied plasma power with ultralow-k toluene-tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) hybrid plasma polymer thin films, as well as changing electrical and mechanical properties. The hybrid thin films were deposited on silicon(100) substrates by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) system. Toluene and tetraethoxysilane were utilized as organic and inorganic precursors. In order to compare the electrical and the mechanical properties, we grew the hybrid thin films under various conditions such as rf power of plasma, bubbling ratio of TEOS to toluene, and post annealing temperature. The hybrid plasma polymer thin films were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), nanoindenter, I-V curves, and capacitance. Also, the hybrid thin films were analyzed by using ellipsometry. The refractive indices varied with the RF power, the bubbling ratio of TEOS to toluene, and the annealing temperature. To analyze their trends of electrical and mechanical properties, the thin films were grown under conditions of various rf powers. The IR spectra showed them to have completely different chemical functionalities from the liquid toluene and TEOS precursors. Also, The SiO peak intensity increased with increasing TEOS bubbling ratio, and the -OH and the CO peak intensities decreased with increasing annealing temperature. The AFM images showed changing of surface roughness that depended on different deposition rf powers. An nanoindenter was used to measure the hardness and Young' modulus and showed that both these values increased as the deposition RF power increased; these values also changed with the bubbling ratio of TEOS to toluene and with the annealing temperature. From the field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) results, the thickness of the thin films was determined before and after the annealing, with the thickness shrinkage (%) being measured by using SEM cross-sectional images.

Annealing Temperature Dependence of the Spin Wave for Polycrystalline $Ni_{83}Fe_{17}$ Thin Films (다결정 $Ni_{83}Fe_{17}$ 합금박막에 대한 스핀파 특성의 열처리 효과)

  • In order to investigate the annealing effect for RF magnetron sputtered $Ni_{83}Fe_{17}$ thin films, we have studied the spin wave rehaviors by FMR after annealing the samples at $135^{\circ}C,\;225^{\circ}C$ in air and at $160^{\circ}C,\;220^{\circ}C,\;330^{\circ}C,\;390^{\circ}C\;and\;420^{\circ}C$ in argon gas for one hour respectively. In FMR spectra for the films annealed in argon gas and the assputtered film at perpendicular resonance, only odd numrer spin waves are observed. But even numrer spin waves are observed for the film annealed in air at $225^{\circ}C$ recause of the large difference retween both surface magnetic anisotropy. In the case of the sample annealed at $420^{\circ}C$ in argon gas, the spin waves are shifted toward high field, can due to the increase of saturation magnetization during annealing. The spacings retween the spin wave resonance fields are narrowed rapidly, this is thought that the magnetic homogeneity increased in the film after annealing at high temperature.

Properties of the carbon electrode perovskite solar cells with various annealing processes (열처리 방법에 따른 카본전극 페로브스카이트 태양전지의 특성 변화)

  • The photovoltaic properties and microstructure changes were observed while perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with a fabricated carbon electrode were formed using the following annealing processes: hot-plate, oven, and rapid thermal annealing (RTA). Perovskite solar cells with a glass/FTO/compact TiO2/meso TiO2/meso ZrO2/carbon structure were prepared. The photovoltaic properties and microstructure changes in the PSCs were analyzed using a solar simulator, optical microscopy, and field emission scanning electron microscopy. An analysis of the photovoltaic properties revealed outstanding properties when RTA was applied to the cells. Microstructure analysis showed that perovskite was formed locally on the carbon electrode surface when hot-plate and oven annealing were applied. On the other hand, PSC with RTA showed a flat surface without extra perovskite agglomeration. Denser perovskite formed on the porous carbon electrode layer with RTA showed superior photovoltaic properties. These results suggest that the RTA process might be appropriate for the massive production of carbon electrode PSCs considering the processing time.

  • The use of amorphous magnetic alloys as tags or targets in electronic article surveillance systems such as antishoplifting desvices is briefly reviewed. Improved tags became possible with the discovery in 1988 of asymmetric magnetization reversal (AMR) in certain amorphous alloys annealed in applied field approximately equal to the earth's field. These asymmetric hysteresis loops are highly unusual, if not unique, and so greatly diminish the probability of false alarms in a detection system. furthermore, the jump field Hj, which is the coercive field in negative applied fields, can be controlled over a useful range by controlling the field applied to the sample during annealing. By applying several tags to an object, each with a different jump field, it is possible to identify the object with a numeric code that can be remotely read by nonoptical means.
