담배줄기를 이용한 판상엽 제조 (Tobacco Stalks Utilization Process for Making Reconstitute Tobacco Sheet)

  • The chemical components of tobacco stalk, stems of tobacco caltivations, were analyzed and reconstituted tobacco sheet were made from the stalk and tobacco hyproducts by rolled and paper reconstitute tobacco sheet making process. The results were summarized as follow 1. In the viewpoint of chemical components, nicotine, total nitrogen and ash content of stalk were lower than those of stems, but crude fiber was two times higher than stems. 2. Reconstituted tobacco sheet of tobacco stalk blended were improved fragility and specific gravity than those of control. 3. Smoke components delivery of cigarette made from reconstituted tobacco sheet of tobacco stalk blended were similar to control cigarette. 4. According to the result of ranking preference test for control and sample cigarette, were not recognized significant at 5 percent level. 5. According to the result of areas test for control and sample cigarette, were not recognized significant at 5 percent level. 6. Optimum stalk blend ratio of reconstituted tobacco sheet manufacturing was from about 20 to 40% to the rolled sheet, and was from about 5 to 10% to the paper making process tobacco sheet.

탄소섬유시트로 보강된 콘크리트 기둥의 압축성능 평가를 위한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on Compressive Strength of Concrete Column Retrofitted by Carbon FRP Sheet)

  • 국내에서 공동주택이 대량으로 공급되었던 1980~1990년대에는 콘크리트의 설계기준강도가 약 18MPa로 낮았으며 또한 대부분의 기둥은 수직하중만을 고려하여 설계되었다. 본 연구에서는 수명이 오래된 콘크리트 기둥의 성능을 향상시키기 위하여 시공이 간편하고 내식성이 우수하며 인장성능이 매우 뛰어난 탄소섬유시트로 보강된 RC 기둥의 압축강도 성능평가 실험을 수행하였다. 기둥을 구속하는 탄소섬유시트의 wrapping 각도는 수직하중과 수평하중에 저항할 수 있도록 기둥의 재축방향에 대하여 ${\pm}60^{\circ}$ 각도로 보강하였다. 실험을 수행한 후 압축강도 및 변형률의 증가양상과 시험체의 파괴양상을 분석하였으며 실험결과의 회귀분석을 수행하여 향상된 압축강도를 예측할 수 있는 회귀식을 작성하였다.

  • 탄소섬유 강화 복합재료는 높은 비강도 및 비강성을 가지기 때문에 자동차 산업, 선박, 우주 항공 산업과 같은 다양한 산업 분야에 적용되어 왔으며, 수요가 점차 증가하고 있다. 탄소섬유 강화 복합재료에는 기지재로 주로 에폭시(Epoxy)와 같이 점도가 낮고 젖음 특성이 우수하며 강도가 양호한 열경화성(Thermosetting) 수지가 사용된다. 열경화성 수지는 우수한 물리적 특성을 나타내지만 재사용이 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 재사용이 가능한 탄소섬유 강화 열가소성 수지(Thermoplastic) 복합재료 개발 및 탄소섬유 재사용에 관한 많은 연구들이 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 열분해 방법을 사용하여 탄소섬유/에폭시 복합재료로부터 탄소섬유와 수지를 분리하여 탄소섬유를 재활용하였다. 에폭시의 분해도(Degree of decomposition)는 열중량분석기(TGA)와 시차 주사현미경(SEM)을 통해 확인하였다. 수지로부터 분리해낸 탄소섬유는 절단(Cutting)과 그라인딩(Grinding) 방법을 거쳐 탄소섬유 복합재료 시트(Sheet)를 제조하였다. 재활용 탄소 섬유로 제조된 탄소섬유 시트는 각각 다른 냉각조건에서 결정화 엔탈피(Crystallization enthalpy)와 기계적 특성, 표면과 단면의 형태를 분석하였다.

캘린더 처리에 의한 다층지의 두께방향 구조 특성 변화 (A Change of Z-directional Structure in Multi-ply Sheet by Calendering)

  • A change of z-directional structural and surface properties by calendering has a great influence on liquid penetration into a sheet. It could be also important for multi-ply sheet because it contacts liquid dunhg coating or converting process. Therefore, this study was aimed to evaluate of a change of z-directional structure in multi-ply sheet by calendering. To do this, multi-ply sheets were prepared with various raw materials and calendered at the different pressure and temperature conditions. In multi-ply sheet which consisted of one kind of pulp fiber, thickness reductions were higher in top and bottom plies than in middle plies. And in the case of soft nip calender treatment with high temperature, top layer which was in contact with heating roll showed the highest reduction of thickness. Hard nip calender treatment showed U-shaped density profile in z-direction, but compression profile by SNC treatment was dependent on calendering condition. To examine z-directional structure of multi-ply sheet which was composed of different raw material for each layer, CLSM (Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy) analyses were carried out on cross direction of sheet. It turned out to be a useful tool for investigating z-directional analysis. As a result, variation of thickness reduction in z-direction is dependent on ply structure, compressibility of pulp fiber, and calendering condition.

섬유시트 보강 구조체의 거동에 관한 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study of Behavior on Structure Reinforced Fiber Sheet)

  • The effective reinforcement methods of structure is required to improve the durability of existing structures. Recently, the continuous fiber sheets to the concrete structures are widely used in the earthquake-proof reinforcement method. This study examines suitability and effect to concrete structure of fiber by FEM analysis. The result of analysis is as follows; All specimens occurred bending tensile failure at the middle span. Ultimate strength of specimen in the RC and reinforced RC specimen were 53.9 kN, 56.3 kN respectively and it was some low by degree 0.89, 0.82 to compare with calculated result. The deflection of specimen at the middle span occurred in approximately 0.2 mm, and did linear behavior in load 20 kN by seat reinforcement. Stiffness did not decrease by occurrence in the finer crack and reinforcement beam's flexure stiffness was increased until reach in failure. To compare calculated value and analysis value, it almost equal behavior in the elastic reign and can confirm effectiveness of analysis. Crack was distributed uniformly by reinforcement of fiber seat at failure and it do not occurred stiffness decreases.

닥나무를 이용한 새로운 한지의 제조(제3보)-인피부 및 전간부 펄프 혼합초지 한지의 특성- (New Korean Traditional Papermaking from Paper Mulberry(III)-Properties of the Hanjis Mixed with Bast Part and Whole Stalk Pulps-)

  • Traditionally, Hanji had been made only with the bast fiber of paper mulberry (Broussonetia kazinoki). Nowadays, Hanji has been made mainly in the mixed forms of paper mulberry bast fiber and waste paper, and consequently it has raised many problems using them. This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of Hanji mixed with paper mulberry bast part and whole stalk pulps. Hanjis made from the solfomethylated pulp were shown higher brightness and sheet strengths than those from alkali and alkali-hydrogen peroxide pulps. The brightness of solfomethylated pulp was found to be high enough not to need additional bleaching. The sheet formations were improved as the increase of whole stalk pulp contents, while the sheet strengths were decreased. In the physical properties of the Hanji mixed with bast part and whole stalk pulps, the handsheet strengths were decreased as the increase of the whole stalk pulp contents. The tensile strength and folding endurance of the Hanji containing 40∼60% of whole stalk pulps were higher as compared to the others.

피해가 발생된 휨벽체의 내진보강에 관한 연구 (Retrofit Method of Damaged Flexural Wall)

  • An experimental work is performed to evaluate the retrofit method of damaged flexural walls. For two flexural walls damaged up to almost failure, reinforcements yielded and concrete below height of 1d are replaced with new reinforcements and steel fiber concrete, respectively. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of Aramid sheet for retrofitting walls, Aramid sheet is also, attached to longitudinal direction and rolled horizontal direction of one wall specimen. Horizontal cyclic loads are applied to the top of the specimen with constant axial load. Test result showed that retrofitting with steel fiber concrete after replacing reinforcements can not afford to recover 100% of the wall capacity before damage. However, the capacity of walls could be sufficiently strengthened by using Aramid sheet.

입자와 섬유로 보강된 SMC 복합재의 기계적 특성에 관한 연구 (Mechanical Properties of Particle and Fiber Reinforced SMC Composites)

  • An analytical model has been developed to predict the elastic properties of a filled resin reinforced by chopped fibers, a three-phase composite such as a filled sheet molding compound(SMC). In the model the matrix material and fillers form an effective matrix. The effective matrix is then considered to be reinforced with long fibers lying in the sheet plane but randomly oriented in the plane. Expressions for the resulting transversely isotropic composite properties are explicitly presented. Using this model, the Young's and shear moduli are calculated for the SMC sample with filler weight fraction of 35% and fiber content of 30%. The same properties are also determined experimentally. The agreement between the calculated and measured elastic moduli is found to be very good for the in-plane properties. However, the out-of-plane properties show a large difference because the effect of voids is not taken into account in the model.

Cu 박판에 대한 초음파 용착 조건 확립 (Establishment of Conditions for Ultrasonic Welding of Cu sheet)

  • This paper gives a description of an experimental study of the ultrasonic welding of metals. In ultrasonic metal welding, high frequency vibrations are combined with pressure to join two materials together quickly and securely, without producing significant amount of heat. Ultrasonic metal welder consists of Transducer, Booster, and horn that are designed very accurately to get the natural frequencies and vibration mode. In this study, The horn was designed and analyzed the natural frequency by the modal analysis and harmonic analysis. And using a fiber optic sensor, we measured the amplitude and analyzed the Fast Fourier Transformed result. Using the horn, Ultrasonic metal welding between Cu sheet and Cu sheet of 0.1mm thickness was accomplished under the optimal conditions of static pressure 0.15MPa, vibration amplitude 30% and welding time of 0.28s. This result can be used for ultrasonic metal welding in manufacturing industry.

  • Carbon fiber sheet has been widely used for the strengthening of the concrete buildings structures due to its excellent physical properties such as high strength, lightness and high durability. Bond strength or behavior, on the other, hands, between carbon fiber sheet and concrete is very important in strengthening the concrete member using CFS. Also the bond failure mechanism between CFS and concrete should be fully verified and understood. This study is to investigate the bond strength of CFS to th concrete by the direct pull-out test and the tensile-shear test methods. From the tests, the average bond stress, $$\tau$_{y}$ and the effective bond length, $$\ell$_{u}$ are acquired.
