자전 연소 전구체로 합성한 나노 크기 경/연 복합페라이트의 자기 특성 (Magnetic Properties of Hard/Soft Nanocomposite Ferrite Synthesized by Self-Combustion Precursors)

  • Glycine-nitrate와 citric acid를 이용하여 단상의 Ni-Zn ferrite, Ba-ferrite 나노입자와 두 나노복합체 ferrite의 전구체를 제조하고 이를 열처리하여 XRD 및 FT-IR로 각각의 상 분석을, SEM으로 분말의 형상과 크기를, VSM으로 자기적 특성과 합성된 나노복합체 ferrite에서의 exchange-coupling 상호작용을 확인하였다. XRD 분석 결과, 자전 연소법으로 얻은 전구체로 단상의 Ni-Zn ferrite와 Ba-ferrite 나노 입자 및 $BaFe_{12}O_{19}/Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ 나노복합체 페라이트가 합성되었으며, 나노복합체에는 $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$$Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$가 잘 분포되어 있어 경자성과 연자성이 공존하고 있음을 확인하였고, 나노복합체 페라이트의 히스테리시스 곡선의 형상을 통해 경자성과 연자성 사이에 exchange-copuling이 잘 이루어졌음을 확인할 수 있었다. VSM으로 측정한 나노복합체의 경우. GNP로 제조한 precursor를 $900^{\circ}C$에서 하소한 $BaFe_{12}O_{19}/Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4$ 나노복합체는 포화자화 81.69 emu/g, 잔류자화 38 emu/g, 보자력 2598.48G를 나타내었다. $Ni_{0.5}Zn_{0.5}Fe_2O_4/BaFe_{12}O_{19}$ 복합체에서 $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$의 무게비가 증가 할수록 보자력은 증가하였고, 포화자화값과 잔류자화 값은 감소하였다.

  • The performance of ferrite composite microwave absorber has been evaluated as the matching frequency, the matching thickness and the band width. Especially, matching frequency is very important in application of microwave absorber because it determines operating frequency range. In this study, the ferrite composite microwave absorbers consisted Ni-Zn ferrite and Zn2Y ferroxplana were prepared in order to control matching frequency. Then, the variation of the material constants and microwave absorbing characteristics were investigated with various ferrite mixing ratio. The material constants of ferrite composite microwave absorber could be controlled by variation ferrite mixing ratio. Therefore, it was confirm that matching frequency of microwave absorber could be shifted by control of material constants.

  • The vibration-proof material normally used in structural components of precision machinery or measuring instruments requires higher damping in vibration and better characteristics in dimensional stability and rigidity to accomplish the quality assurance of the products. In this study the ferrite-resin material, which is the mixture of epoxy resin and the oxidized steel (Fe$_{3}$O$_{4}$: ferrite) in consideration of characteristics of aggregator and binder, is developed and investigated as one of vibration-proof materials. Four kinds of composite plates for experiments are made by adding another filler materials such as steel powder, granite powder and carbon-fiber sheet to the basic ferrite-resin matrix. Their characteristics are compared with a cast iron specimen which has the same bending rigidity as other specimens. The ferrite-resin material gives the best damping effect in the motor-induced vibration test. Therefore, the material can be applied to the manufacturing industry for vibration damping of machine elements.

Ferrite-Iron-Rubber 복합체의 전파흡수특성 (The Microwave Absorbing Characteristics of Ferrite-Iron-Rubber Composites.)

  • 복합 Ferrite 전파흡수체의 성능은 두께가 얇으며 대역폭이 넓을수록 우수하다. 본 연구에서는 복합 Ferrite 전파흡수체의 정합두께를 감소시키기 위하여 Ferrite-Iron-Rubber 복합체를 제조하고 그 특성을 고찰하였다. ${\alpha}-Fe$ 분말의 첨가에 의하여 복합체의 유전율 실수항과 투자율 실수항이 증가하여 정합주파수와 정합두께의 고하기 항인 $f_{m}.d_{m}$ 항이 감소하였고, 3~17 GHz의 주 파수 범위에서 Ferrite-Rubber 복합체에 비하여 정합두께가 0.5 mm~2 mm 정도 감소함을 확인할 수 있었다.

초음파를 이용한 페라이트 분말의 결정화 (Crystallization of Ferrite Powder Using Ultrasonic Wave)

  • A new technique capable of accelerating the crystallization of ferrite powder at low temperature is developed. Effects of the ultrasonic waves on the crystallization were studied for ferrite powders prepared using the co-precipitation method. The crystallization of the ferrite powders exposed to the ultrasonic waves were characterized by the XRD. The amorphous ferrite powders prepared using the co-precipitation method were crystallized as a result of the exposure to the ultrasonic waves for 5h and the crystallization of the ferrite powders became more enhanced in proportion to the time exposed. The ferrite powder exposed to the ultrasonic waves for 25h had higher crystallinity a larger specific surface area than the ferrite powder calcined at 500$^{\circ}C$ for 2h.

  • In this study, the ferrite/rubber composite microwave absorbers mixed Ni-Zn ferrite and $Ni_2Y$ ferroxplana were prepared in order to control matching condion. The variation of the material constants($\dot{\varepsilon}$, $\dot{\mu}$) and microwave absorbing characteristics were investigated with various ferrite mixing ratio. The material constants of ferrite/rubber composite microwave absorber could be controlled by variation ferrite mixing radio. The matching frequency and thickness could be controlled with various ferrite mixing ratio.

제일원리를 이용한 스트론튬 페라이트의 자기적 특성 연구 (Ab Initio Study for the Magnetic Properties of Strontium Ferrite SrFe12O19)

  • In this study, magnetic properties of the strontium ferrite were theoretically investigated by Ab initio (first principle) method. The influences of various additives on the magnetic properties of the strontium ferrite were analyzed to designed new composition of the strontium ferrite system with high magnetic characteristics. As shown in the results, the total magnetization of the strontium ferrite was $42.55M_B$. Based on the DOS results, the magnetic characteristics of the strontium ferrite were mainly influenced by Fe atoms at 6 positions in the unit cell. Also the La-Mn strontium ferrite has the superior magnetic property than the Mn strontium ferrite.

LTCC를 위한 NiCuZn 페라이트계와 유전체의 이종접합의 특성 (The Characteristics of Hetero Junction Using NiCuZn Ferrite and Dielectric for LTCC)

  • The hetero junction on dielectrics and ferrite for LTCC was prepared by using NiCuZn ferrite. The shrinkage behaviour of ferrite tapes in combination with a dielectric tape was investigated. The characteristics of NiCuZn ferrite were investigated using XRD (X-ray diffractometer), Dilatometer, FE-SEM (Field emission scanning electron microscope), EDS (Energy dispersive spectrometer). NiCuZn ferrite calcined at $700^{\circ}C$ had a good apparent density and initial permeability of magnetic properties. The shrinkage rate of the NCZF700 ferrite and dielectric material was similar. The multilayer revealed dense, uniform morphologies with excellent interface quality. Diffusion of hetero junction such as dielectric and ferrite was not occuring at $900^{\circ}C$.

Mechanism of intragranular ferrite formation in heat-affected zone of titanium killed steel

  • A lot of work is carried out concerning to acicular ferrite formation in the weld metal of high strength and low-alloy steel. Those results are suggesting that oxides that contain titanium elements provides nucleation site of intragranular ferrite, referred as acicular ferrite. Thus, when intragranular ferrite is expected to form in heat-affected zone, oxide containing titanium element should be formed in the steel. However, normal steel is deoxidized by using aluminum element (Al-killed steel) with little oxygen content. It means almost oxygen is deoxidized with aluminum elements. In the present work, in order to form the acicular ferrite in the heat affected zone, with the same concept in the case of weld metal, the steel deoxidized with titanium element (titanium killed-steel) is prepared and the acicular ferrite formation is observed in detail by using laser-conforcal microscopy technique. The confocal technique makes it possible that the morphological change along the phase transformation from austenite to ferrite is in-situ tracked. Thus, the inclusion that stimulated the ferrite nucleation could be directly selected from the observed images, in the HAZ of the Ti-killed steel. The chemical composition of the selected inclusion is analyzed and the nucleation potential is discussed by changing the nucleation site with boron element. The potency for the ferrite nucleation is summarized and the existence of effective and ineffective manganese sulfide for nucleation is made clear.

NiCuZn Ferrite의 제조공정 제어(제2보) - 성형압력 및 소성온도 변화에 따른 초기투자율과 겉보기밀도에 관한 고찰 (The Prodessing Control of NiCuZn Ferrite(II) - The Relationship between Initial Permeability and Bulk Density of NiCuZn Ferrite as Functions of Forming Pressure and Sintering Temperature.)

  • 본 연구에서는 NiCuZn Ferrite 제조공정의 제어를 위하여 제조공정 변수에 따른 NiCuZn Ferrite의 물성 및 자기적특성의 변화를 검토하여, 겉보기밀도(bulk density)와 초기투자율의 관계를 명확하게 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. $700^{\circ}C$에서 3시간 하소 한 NiCuZn Ferrite를 약 60시간 볼밀링하여 약 $0.5\mu\textrm{m}$ 입자크기로 분쇄한 후 분무 건조하여 과립화하였다. 본 연구에서는 (1)NiCuZn Ferrite 과립의 크기와 성형압력 변화와 (2)일정한 성형조건에서 소성온도의 변화에 따른 성형체 및 소성체의 물성측정, 그리고 자기적 특성을 검토하였다. NiCuZn Ferrite의 green density는 과립의 크기보다는 성형압력에 더 의존하였으며, 과립의 크기가 $150\mu\textrm{m}$ 이하 일 때 성형압력이 증가 함에 따라 green density는 $2.484\;g/cm^{3}$에서 $3.002\;g/cm^{3}$로 크게 증가하 였다. NiCuZn Ferrite의 bulk density는 소성온도에 의하여 거의 직선적으로 $3.470\;g/cm^{3}$에서 $4.754\;g/cm^{3}$로 증가하였다. 성형압력 변화 및 소성온도 변화에 따른 NiCuZn Ferrite 초기투자율과 겉보기밀도 관계를 비교 검토한 결과, NiCuZn Ferrite의 초기투자율($\mu_{i}$)과 겉보기밀도($\rho$)의 관계를 $\mu_{i}=a+b_{\rho}+c_{\rho}^2$와 같이 실험식으로 표현할 수 있었다.
