The purpose of this study is to examine the aesthetic view towards exposure in the Korean society through the means of analyzing the characteristics of exposure and figuring out the implications expressed in the red carpet fashion of Korean female movie stars. The concept of exposure in fashion was reviewed through previous studies and related publications. The pictures of actresses wearing red carpet evening gowns in Korea's major film festival were collected and analyzed. The results indicated that the meaning of exposure expressed in the red carpet fashion of Korean female movie stars are as follows: First, this leads the trend reflecting the contemporary aesthetic view of exposure as an effective way to show the beauty of the female body. Second, this emphasizes the femininity and expresses eroticism by exposing certain body parts which symbolize the female gender. Third, this shows the narcissistic self conspicuousness as well as the self confidence and self satisfaction. Forth, this displays the playfulness through exposing the body in a unique way. Lastly, the way and level of exposure can be used to maintain or change the public's view upon the celebrity.

이 연구는 스타의 이미지가 어떠한 양상을 보이며 신문에 보도되어왔는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이에 영화산업 및 미디어 동향에 맞추어 시기를 구분하고 시기별 대표 스타를 선정하여 신문에 보도된 관련 기사 798건을 수집하였다. 수집된 영화스타 기사의 보도성향, 내 외부주제, 보도형식, 성별 차이 등을 분석한 결과, 신문기사에 재현된 영화스타의 이미지는 특정 성별을 대표하지 않는 중립적 이미지가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 2000년대 이후에는 특정 이미지가 고착되어 보도되는 것이 아니라 다양한 이미지로 재현되는 경우가 많아지고, 내 외부 주제 비교를 통해서 보도주제가 다양해졌음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 서평 형식의 기사는 감소하고 인터뷰 형식의 기사가 증가하였으며, 남성 영화스타의 경우 여성 영화스타에 비해 작품을 주제로 한 기사의 비중이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 스타 발생 이후 현대까지의 보도를 통시적으로 연구하여 스타 이미지 재현과정의 변화를 탐색하였다는 의의를 지니며, 다매체 시대의 다양한 이미지 재현과정에 대한 관련 후속 연구의 기초 자료가 될 것으로 기대한다.

본 연구는 영화 <아가씨>에서 변형된 시공간과 캐릭터를 통해 흥행 요인을 분석하고자 한다. 원작 소설이 있는 영화는 소설의 내러티브를 기초로 영화의 경험재적 특성을 감소시켜 관람 욕구를 유도한다. 본 영화는 소설의 배경인 빅토리아 시대와 다른 일제강점기를 선택하여 식민주의 남성성의 특징을 구현하는 캐릭터를 만들고, 남성에게 억압받는 여성들이 계급성을 초월하여 탈주하는 내용으로 변형하였다. 이를 통해 원작소설의 동성애 요소가 여성의 성장과 연대로 치환되어 부정적 요소를 감소시켰다. 또한 영화 개봉 시기 발생한 여성 대상 범죄의 젠더 담론은 캐릭터들의 공감 요소를 증대시키고 영화의 주제와 부합하였다. 그외 감독과 배우의 스타시스템과 영화 예고편의 효과적 공개 마케팅, 영화제 진출작 선정을 흥행 요인으로 볼 수 있다. 영화는 소설의 각색을 통해 다원적인 창작 역량을 증대하고 관객의 공감 요인을 확대한다. 흥행하는 각색 영화의 차별성은 변형된 내용이 창의적이면서도 시공간을 초월하는 보편적 인식과 상응할 수 있는 주제를 내포하고 매체적 특성을 효과적으로 표현하는 데 있다.

This study suggests the basic resources for men's cosmetic which shows in history. Because not only ancient chief but also modern French noble men made up in the area where succeeded the traditional national cosmetic, when it was seen through historic or world, the men's cosmetic was generated and was more luxurious and presence than women. But since the French revolution, men was limited the collection of fashion, also the luxurious cloth and cosmetic disappeared. It was 1960s that men's cosmetic based rock musicians reappeared. And then, rock musicians made up luxuriously. The early cosmetic of rock musicians began from the protest's meaning for old fashioned value and fixed society. But gradually, it was changed the style that valued appearance's beauty. In the past, movie star's hair style and cloth were the basic fashion, but now the sportsmen are recognized heroes and their cosmetic is prevailing. Today, the basic meaning of men's presence fashion is that men and women's each role and self expression is allowed and appearance's decoration showed from sex roles disappeared. Men is limited body's beautiful expression and collective range but they fluently express each self imagination through work, special hobby, female attire and drag queen. From various men's beautiful expression, we will know that human beings want a society which is recognizing different self expressions.
