제2형 당뇨병 환자를 위한 자동 맞춤형 셀프케어 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Automated Personalized Self-Care (APSC) Program for Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus)

  • Purpose: The study aimed to design and develop an automated personalized self-care (APSC) program for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The secondary aim was to present a clinical protocol as a mixed-method research to test the program effects. Methods: The APSC program was developed in the order of analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation according to the software development life cycle, and was guided by the self-regulatory theory. The content validity, heuristics, and usability of the program were verified by experts and patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Results: The APSC program was developed based on goal setting, education, monitoring, and feedback components corresponding to the phases of forethought, performance/volitional control, and self-reflection of self-regulatory theory. Using the mobile application, the participants are able to learn from educational materials, monitor their health behaviors, receive weekly-automated personalized goals and feedback messages, and use an automated conversation system to solve the problems related to self-care. The ongoing two-year study utilizes a mixed method design, with 180 patients having type 2 diabetes mellitus randomized to receive either the intervention or usual care. The participants will be reviewed for self-care self-efficacy, health behaviors, and health outcomes at 6, 12, 18, and 24 months. Participants in the intervention group will be interviewed about their experiences. Conclusion: The APSC program can serve as an effective tool for facilitating diabetes health behaviors by improving patients' self-care self-efficacy and self-regulation for self-care. However, the clinical effectiveness of this program requires further investigation.

과제의 친숙성 및 정답제시가 유아의 문제해결능력에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Children's Familiarity with a Task and Teachers' Feedback on their Problem Solving Performances)

  • The purpose of the study is to examine the influence of children's familiarity with a task and teachers' feedback on their problem solving performances. It was assumed that children's' problem solving performance would be different depending on the children's familiarity with a task and the feedback from teachers. The study also examined whether children's' problem solving competence would be different depending on their gender and age. The experiment was conducted with two experimental tools. The subjects were 58 children who were 5 to 6-year-old, enrolled in kindergartens in Koyang city in Kyunggi province. The collected data were processed with SPSS 11.0 program to get the average and the standard deviations, and with one-way ANOVA and two-way ANOVA with repeated measures. The results of the experiment are as follows; First, children's' problem solving competence was different depending on their age. Older children showed higher performance than younger children, while there's no difference in children's performance depending on their gender. Second, the teachers' feedback didn't influence children's problem solving performance. Third, children showed higher performance when familiar tasks were provided, compared to when typical tasks were provided. Finally, this study found that children's task familiarity has an influence on their problem solving performance.

The Effect of Postural Balance and Fall Efficacy on Bilateral Visual Feedback Training with Visual Targets in Stroke Patients

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of bilateral visual feedback training with visual targets on the postural balance and fall efficacy of stroke patients with hemiparesis. Methods: A total of 24 stroke patients with hemiparesis were randomly assigned to either a bilateral visual feedback training (BVFT, n=8) group, unilateral visual feedback training (UVFT, n=8) group, or a control group (n=8). The BVFT and UVFT groups performed weight-bearing training on the bilateral (less-affected and affected side) or unilateral side (affected side) with visual feedback using visual targets. The control group performed squat training without visual feedback using visual targets. The training program was conducted in the form of 3 sets a day, 3 times a week, for 4 weeks. The participants were evaluated using the Berg balance scale (BBS), lateral reaching test (LRT), timed up and go test (TUG), and the activities-specific balance confidence scale (ABC). Results: In the intra-group comparison after the intervention, the BVFT group showed a significant difference in the BBS, TUG, affected and less-affected side LRT, and ABC (p<0.05). The UVFT group showed a significant difference in the BBS and ABC (p<0.05). In the inter-group comparison after the intervention, the BVFT group showed significant improvements in their BBS, affected side LRT, and TUG, when compared to the control group (p<0.05). Conclusion: These findings show that bilateral visual feedback training with visual targets during bilateral weight-bearing exercises can improve the postural balance function in stroke patients.

이동용 영상촬영기기 바디캠을 활용한 팀단위 심폐소생술의 교육피드백 효과 (Training Feedback effect of team-based CPR using a mobile video recording device body camera)

  • 본 연구는 구급현장에서 사용되고 있는 바디캠을 활용하여 교육피드백 효과를 파악하고자 응급구조학과 4학년 32명을 대상으로 팀단위 심폐소생술 시뮬레이션을 진행하여 바디캠 피드백 전후에 대한 인식도, 교육피드백 효과, 만족도, 바디캠 기기활용 선호도 및 애로사항을 파악하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 27.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, 빈도분석, paried t-test, Wilcoxon signed rank test를 수행하였다. 연구결과 바디캠 사용에 대한 인식은 3.73±0.62점에서 4.45±0.54점으로 긍정적인 인식변화를 보였으며, 3.98±0.51의 긍정적인 만족도는 나타냈다(p<.001). 또한 바디캠 피드백 후 자가점검 정확도와 수행능력점수에서 유의한 상승효과를 나타냈다(p<.001). 따라서 팀단위 시뮬레이션 소생술 훈련 시 강사의 직접적인 피드백 없이도 바디캠 영상시청을 통한 자가피드백을 수행하여 자가점검능력 향상 및 수행능력향상의 긍정적인 교육피드백 효과를 발휘할 수 있다.

Gas outflow in BLR of low-redshift AGNs

  • AGN feedback has been believed as playing an important role in the galaxy-super massive black hole (SMBH) co-evolution. AGN gas outflow can lead to AGN feedback. We investigate gas outflow of low-redshift AGNs by using blue shift/asymmetric index (BAI), and velocity offset of CIV line. By comparing these gas outflow indicators (BAI and velocity offset) to AGN properties (i.e., SMBH mass, bolometric luminosity, and Eddington ratio) and BLR gas metallicity, we find positive correlations among outflow, Eddington ratio, and metallicity. These relations are consistent with those observed at high-redshift. We discuss the possibility of the connection between previous star formation with current AGN accretion and outflow.

시스템 사고기반 울혈성 심부전 간호교육 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of a System Thinking-Based Approach with the Use of a Patient Simulator in Nursing Education : Focus on Congestive Heart Failure)

  • This study aims to explore the development and application of a simulated skills package designed to improve nursing students' knowledge integration and their system thinking(ST) skills about congestive heart failure(CHF) and to identify the change in students' ST levels using a ST-based learning approach. A simulated learning support package was developed by nurse educators and ST experts. The developed program was implemented with 35 third-year nursing students from S university in Seoul. The subjects improved their ST skills regarding CHF after intervention. Mean test scores for students completing the program were significantly higher than pre-intervention scores, including measures of direction of causality, polarity of causal relationship, feedback loop, polarity of feedback loop (reinforcing, balancing) and time delay (t=2.26~6.53, p=.030~p<.001). It is suggested that more educational programs be developed on various topics in order for nursing students to improve their ST skills as well as knowledge integration in clinical nursing practicum packages.

프로그램 학습성과 향상을 위한 형성평가 중심 캡스톤 디자인 교과목 설계 (A Formative Assessment Based Capstone Design Course for Improving Program Learning Outcomes)

  • 공학인증에서 사용되는 프로그램 학습성과는 학생들에게 제공되는 교육의 품질을 파악하고 이를 통하여 교육의 개선을 할 수 있는 수단으로 사용되고 있다. 따라서 학습성과를 향상시킬수 있는 방법이 모색되고 있으며 캡스톤 디자인 교과목은 그 특성상 가장 효율적인 향상 방법으로 고려되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 캡스톤 디자인 교과목의 교과목 내용을 개선하여 프로그램의 학습성과를 향상시키기 위한 것으로 이를 위하여 형성평가를 도입하였다. 형성평가를 효율적으로 도입하기 위하여 형성평가의 핵심 요소인 피드백 과정의 구조를 정의하였는데 최적의 효과를 내기 위하여 교사 주도형과 학생 교정형을 혼합한 형식을 사용하였다. 또한 형성평가가 이루어지는 시점인 세부 단원을 정의하기 위하여 소프트웨어 공학을 도입하였으며 여섯 단계의 세부 단계를 통하여 캡스톤 디자인 과목에서의 형성평가가 구현되었다. 각 세부단계에서의 평가 항목과 평가 기준들은 교과목 진행중에 학생들에게 공개되며 본 연구에서 제안한 피드백 과정을 통하여 학생들이 평가기준에 맞는 결과를 내기위하여 학습을 하도록 교과목을 구성, 운영하였다. 실제 2학기동안 실험을 실시해본 결과 형성평가를 도입하지 않았을 때보다 주목할 만한 향상을 보이고 있음을 발견할 수 있었다.

VOD 서비스 플랫폼에서 협력 필터링을 이용한 TV 프로그램 개인화 추천 (Personalized TV Program Recommendation in VOD Service Platform Using Collaborative Filtering)

  • 개인화된 추천을 제공하기 위한 협력 필터링은 추천 시스템에서 성공적으로 활용되어 온 기법이다. 그러나 협력 필터링이 주로 연구 및 적용된 분야들은 사용자로부터의 명시적 피드백이 존재하는 독립된 아이템들을 추천하는 것에 초점을 두고 있다. VOD 서비스 플랫폼에서 개인화된 TV 프로그램을 추천하기 위해서는 해당 도메인의 특성과 제한들을 고려하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 TV 프로그램의 시리즈 속성을 이용하여, 선호를 판단하기 힘든 비명시적 피드백인 회별 프로그램 시청기록을 명시적이고 지속적인 프로그램 선호도로 변환하는 방법을 고안하였다. 데이터 수집과 최종 추천은 회별 프로그램 단위로 이루어지면서 협력 필터링 처리 단위는 프로그램으로 변경되어 TV 프로그램 VOD 추천 환경에 가장 적당한 형태로 협력 필터링을 변형 적용하였다. 실험 결과는 고안된 추천 시스템이 단순히 협력 필터링을 적용했을 때보다 높은 정확도와 더 적은 계산량을 가지는 것을 보여준다. 도메인 특화된 이러한 변형은 추천 시스템의 알고리즘 모듈로 구성되어 기존에 알려진 다양한 협력 필터링 기법과 결합하여 사용될 수 있다.

초등학생을 위한 자유 탐구 프로그램 개발 및 적용: 학생의 과학 탐구 기능 특성 및 지속적 피드백을 중심으로 (Development and Application of Open Inquiry Program : Focusing on the Students' Traits of Science Inquiring Ability and Repeated Feedback)

  • The revised curriculum in 2007 adds an open inquiry approach to increase students' creativity and interest in science. Because it is the first time for elementary students to perform the open inquiry due to the national curriculum, it is essential that teachers give students' successful experiences in order to build a positive impression about inquiry activity. The purpose of this research is to develop and apply the open inquiry program. The research findings are as follows: First, we analyzed the students' traits of open inquiry ability during the program. The third and fourth grade students showed weakness in operating and inquiring abilities. They also feared failure and were unable to concentrate in classes which were based on explanation or discussion. When students had unexpected results, however, their inquiring abilities and creativeness increased considerably. Additionally there were some students who were stressed during the science-inquiry activity, due to no interest in science and an inability to think scientifically. Second, we developed an open inquiry program for elementary students. The program was modified, reflected upon the students' traits during open inquiry in class. Through repeated feedback like this, we completed the program. Third, for those who studied in the lessons there was a meaningful change in students' science inquiry abilities and abilities to perform 'formulating a hypothesis' and 'the control of variables'. These students' level of self-inquiry performance improved steadily. Moreover, they obtained a strong attachment to their inquiry and understood the method of quantitative experiments.

공과대학 학생들을 위한 인턴십 및 현장실습 사전교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of Pre-training Program for Internship or Field Training for Engineering College Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a pre-training program of engineering college students for maximizing the effectiveness of internship or field training. To pursue this goal, literature review was conducted for data collection about college and corporate pre-training program for internship or field training and pre-training program(draft) was proposed. A questionnaire survey was conducted with engineering professors, students and graduates to identify the needs for pre-training program(draft) for internship or field training. Based on the results, the contents of pre-training program for internship or field training were composed of basic liberal arts, basic competency, real information related with corporation or job, and information exchange network. And key consideration for operating the pre-training program for internship or field training were proposed with the management department, regulation for the obligatory participation, meaningful organizing content, feedback of needs.
