ATM 망에서 ABR 트래픽을 위한 Rate 기법이 성능 향상 연구 (A Study on Performance Enhancement of the Rate Scheme for ABR Traffic on ATM Networks)

  • 최근 고속 데이터 서비스에 대한 수요가 증대됨에 따라 이를 위한 효율적인 서비스에 대한 관심이 집중되고 있다. ATM 망에서는 고속전송과 트래픽 다중화를 하기 때문에 반응제어 보다는 예방제어에 중점을 두고 있으나, 망 내에서 데이터 트래픽의 예측할 수 없는 통계적 흐름과 버스등환 특성은 망에 제공되는 서비스 품질을 떨어뜨리고 과잉 밀집에 의해 폭주가 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 반응적 제어 방법이 연구되어 왔다. 특히 ATM Forum에서는 새로운 ATM 서비스인 ABR(Available Bit Rate) 서비스의 트래픽 관리에 대한 표준화를 위해 많은 노력을 기울였다. ABR트래픽은 현재 셀의 상태 정보와 더불어 feedback 된 정보를 사용하여 트래픽 흐름을 제어하므로 사용자에게 체계적이고 동적으로 대역을 할당할 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 최근 ATM Forum에서 ABR 트래픽을 지원하는 방식으로 채택된 Rate 기법에 이중 임계치 버퍼 개념을 적용하여 ABR 트래픽 전송시의 성능 향상 기법을 제안하였다. 이중 임계치 버퍼는 버퍼내에 2개의 임계치를 설정하여 전송율 조절을 2곳에서 가능하게 한다.

LPG/CNG Interface Box 제품 Hardware 설계 (LPG/CNG Interface Box Hardware Design)

  • In Korea, the number of LPG vehicles is increasing continuously because LPG is cheaper than Gasoline. Also in Europe, the CNG fuel is a good solution to meet $CO_2$ regulation. In order to use LPG/CNG fuel, new EMS ECU must be developed for every type of vehicles and it requires huge development cost. In order to reduce development cost and time, SIEMENS VDO has developed an Interface Box. It supports EMS ECU in the car and manages LPG/CNG fuel injection system. Basically the Interface box can be used with any kind of EMS ECU. The Interface Box controls LPG/CNG injector through the injection command of gasoline EMS ECU. It calculates required amount of based on the fuel temperature and pressure and sends feedback signal to ECU for fuel correction. Also, it controls LPG/CNG specific actuator such a Shut off valves and LPG switch inputs.

근전도 power spectrum을 이용한 만성근육동통 환자에 있어서의 저작근 피로에 관한 연구 (EMG Power Spectral Analysis on Masticatory Muscle Fatigue in Chronic Muscle Pain Patients)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare differences in endurance time and EMG power spectral characteristics of the masticatory muscles during sustained isometric contraction between patients and controls. 15 CMD patients{8 women and 7 men, aged 15 to 38 years(24.1$\pm$7.5)}, and 15 healthy volunteers{8 women and 7 men, aged 15 to 30 years(24.7$\pm$3.4)} without past history or present symptoms of CMD were included in this study. Sustained isometric contractions of masticatory muscles were perfomeed as long as possible at 50% level of maximum voluntary contraction(MVC) of EMG activity via visual feedback, and the duration of sustained isometric contraction(endurance time) was examined. The author perfomed EMG power spectral analysis in the myoelectric signals of masseter and anterior temporal muscle during sustained isometric contraction in CMD patients with chronic muscle pain and healthy controls. The author came to following conclusions from the results. 1. The endurance time of the patient group was shorter than the control group in sustained isometric contraction of masticatory muscles(p<0.01). 2. MF values of masticatory muscles with sustained isometric contraction during endurance time were decreased following regression line in both groups(p<0.01, r>0.9). 3. The amount of MF shift to lower frequency range exhibited no significant differences between the patients and the control group in sustained isometric contraction during endurance time. 4. SMF to lower frequency range of the patient group was steeper than the control group in sustained isometric contraction during endurance time(p<0.05).

가변 풍량 유닛에 대한 적분기를 가진 상태 궤환 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the State feedback with Integral Control for a Variable Air Volume Unit)

  • 건물의 에너지 효율과 절약을 위해 최근 주목을 많이 받고 있는 가변 풍량 유닛(VAV)에 대해 실제적인 적용을 위한 적분기를 가진 상태 궤환 제어기를 연구한다. 디지털 제어기에 적합하도록 제어기를 개발하게 되며, 디지털 제어기는 결과적으로 대상으로 하는 실내 공간의 온도와 급기 유량으로부터 VAV 유닛 댐퍼의 개도를 조절한다. 설정 온도의 변화와 외부 온도의 변화등의 조건에 대해 모의 실험이 수행되었으며, 단순화된 대상 실내 공간과 댐퍼 구동기의 모델링이 고려되어 제어기의 이득 파라미터와 시스템의 동특성과의 관계를 고찰한다.

신경회로망 제어기을 이용한 볼-빔 시스템의 안정화 위치제어 (Stabilization Position Control of a Ball-Beam System Using Neural Networks Controller)

  • This research aims to seek active control of ball-beam position stability by resorting to neural networks whose layers are given bias weights. The controller consists of an LQR (linear quadratic regulator) controller and a neural networks controller in parallel. The latter is used to improve the responses of the established LQR control system, especially when controlling the system with nonlinear factors or modelling errors. For the learning of this control system, the feedback-error learning algorithm is utilized here. While the neural networks controller learns repetitive trajectories on line, feedback errors are back-propagated through neural networks. Convergence is made when the neural networks controller reversely learns and controls the plant. The goals of teaming are to expand the working range of the adaptive control system and to bridge errors owing to nonlinearity by adjusting parameters against the external disturbances and change of the nonlinear plant. The motion equation of the ball-beam system is derived from Newton's law. As the system is strongly nonlinear, lots of researchers have depended on classical systems to control it. Its applications of position control are seen in planes, ships, automobiles and so on. However, the research based on artificial control is quite recent. The current paper compares and analyzes simulation results by way of the LQR controller and the neural network controller in order to prove the efficiency of the neural networks control algorithm against any nonlinear system.

이산시간 퍼지-슬라이딩모드를 이용한 스마트구조물의 강건진동제어 (Robust Vibration Control of Smart Structures via Discrete-Time Fuzzy-Sliding Modes)

  • This paper presents a new discrete-time fuzzy-sliding mode controller for robust vibration control of a smart structure featuring a piezofilm actuator. A governong equation of motion for the smart beam structure is derived and discrete-time codel with mismatched uncertainties such as parameter variations is constructed ina state space. A discrete-time sliding mode control system consisting of an equivalent controller and a discontinuous controller is formulated. In the design of the equivalent part, so called an equivalent controller separation method is adopted to achieve vzster convergence to a sliding surface without extension of a sliding region, in which the system robustness maynot be guaranteed. On the other hand, the discontinuous part is constructed on the basis of both the sliding and the convergence conditions using a time-varying feedback gain. The sliding moide controller is then incorporated with a fuzzy technique to appropriately determine principal control parameters such as a discountinuous feedback gain. Experimental implementation on the forced and random vibraiton controls is undertaken in order to demonstrate superior control performance of the proposed controller.

Multiobjective PI/PID Control Design Using an Iterative Linear Matrix Inequalities Algorithm

  • Many real world control systems usually track several control objectives, simultaneously. At the moment, it is desirable to meet all specified goals using the controllers with simple structures like as proportional-integral (PI) and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) which are very useful in industry applications. Since in practice, these controllers are commonly tuned based on classical or trial-and-error approaches, they are incapable of obtaining good dynamical performance to capture all design objectives and specifications. This paper addresses a new method to bridge the gap between the power of optimal multiobjective control and PI/PID industrial controls. First the PI/PID control problem is reduced to a static output feedback control synthesis through the mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ control technique, and then the control parameters are easily carried out using an iterative linear matrix inequalities (ILMI) algorithm. Numerical examples on load-frequency control (LFC) and power system stabilizer (PSS) designs are given to illustrate the proposed methodology. The results are compared with genetic algorithm (GA) based multiobjective control and LMI based full order mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ control designs.

  • The objective of this study is to design a multi-layer neural network which controls the position of excavator's attachment. In this paper, a dynamic controller has been developed based on an error back-propagation(BP) neural network. Since the neural network can model an arbitrary nonlinear mapping, it was used as a commanded feedforward input generator. A PD feedback controller is used in parallel with the feedforward neural network to train the system. The neural network was trained by the current state of the excavator as well as the PD feedback error. By using the BP network as a feedforward controller, no a priori knowledge on system dynamics is need. Computer simulation results demonstrate such powerful characteristics of the proposed controller as adaptation to changing environment, robustness to disturbancen and performance improvement with the on-line learning in the position control of excavator attachment.

TCP의 자기 유사성 트래픽 조건하에서 다중 시간 간격을 이용한 혼잡 제어 (The Congestion Control using Multiple Time Scale under Self-Similar Traffic of TCP)

  • In this paper, we extend the multiple time scale control framework to window-based congestion control, in particular, TCP This is performed by interfacing TCP with a large tine scale control nodule which adjusts the aggressiveness of bandwidth consumption behavior exhibited by TCP as a function of "large time scale" network state. i.e., conformation that exceeds the horizon of the feedback loop as determined by RTT Our contribution is threefold. First, we define a modular extension of TCP-a function call with a simple interface-that applies to various flavors of TCP-e.g., Tahoe, Reno, Vegas and show that it significantly improves performance. Second, we show that multiple time scale TCP endows the underlying feedback control with preactivity by bridging the uncertainty gap associated with reactive controls which is exacerbated by the high delay-bandwidth product in broadband wide area networks. Third, we investigate the influence of three traffic control dimensions-tracking ability, connection duration, and fairness-on performance. Performance evaluation of multiple time scale TCP is facilitated by a simulation bench-mark environment which is based on physical modeling of self-similar traffic.

  • LED is divided to multichannel in order not to exceed a certain voltage in aspects of electric standard. However, it's not possible to know in accordance with what channel SMPS controls the constant voltage and current. In order to solve this problem, it needs to detect the maximum LED String voltage which is applied to LED control circuit, and it is possible to minimize the voltage drop when a difference of LED string voltage occurs by each channel if LED is controlled by the maximum LED string voltage detected. In addition, it is also possible to maximize the efficiency of LED if change LED voltage by detecting the maximum voltage. Feasibility of this claim was verified through implementation of the circuit.
