선형회로에 있어서의 결함식별 매트릭스 (Fault Identification Matrix in Linear Networks)

  • 단순한 외부 측정만으로써 수동 및 능동 회로망에서의 한개의 결함요소(Faulty Element)를 결정하기위해서 벡터를 이용한 한 방법을 연구했다. 큰 회로망은 몇개의 작은 회로망이 연결되었다고 생각할 수 있다. 여러 주파수에서의 전달 함수의 크기와 회로요소의 변화와의 사이에서 일어나는 관계를 이용함으로써 Fault Simulation Curve를 그릴 수 있다. 이곡선으로부터 결함식별영역(Fault Identification Region)을 정의한다. 정의된 결함식별영역에 따라 결함시별 매트릭스(Fault Irlentification Matrix)가 형성된다. 어떤 회로로부터 측정된 치를 성분으로하는 벡터를 결함식별 매트릭스에 곱해줌으로써 다른 한개의 벡터를 유도하는데 이유도된 벡터의 성분이 회로의 결함요소를 식별해주는 것이다. 결함식별방법을 위한 한 시험절차가 계시되고 실험에 의하여 입증되었다.

  • To increase reliability and performance of an IMS(Intelligent Manufacturing System), fault tolerant control based on an accurate fault diagnosis is needed. In this paper, robot FDI(fault detection and identification) is proposed for IMS where the robot is controlled with state estimates of a nonlinear filter using a mathematical robot model. The Chi-square distribution is applied fault detection and fault size is estimated by a proposed bias filter. Performance of the proposed algorithm is tested by simulation for studies.

  • DC motors are widely used in industries like cement, paper manufacturing, etc., even today. Early fault identification in dc motors significantly improves its life time and reduces power consumption. Many conventional and soft computing techniques for fault identification in DC motors including a recent work using model based analysis with the help of fuzzy logic are available in literature. In this paper fuzzy logic and norm based wavelet analysis of startup transient current are proposed to identify and quantify the armature winding fault and bearing fault in DC motors, respectively. Results obtained by simulation using Matlab and Simulink are presented in this paper to validate the proposed work.

Fault Location for Incomplete-Journey Double-Circuit Transmission Lines on Same Tower Based on Identification of Fault Branch

  • This paper analyses the characteristics of incomplete-journey double-circuit transmission lines on the same tower formed by single-circuit lines and double-circuit lines, and then presents a fault location algorithm based on identification of fault branch. With the relationship between the three-phase system and the double-circuit line system, a phase-mode transformation matrix for double-circuit lines can be derived. Based on the derived matrix, the double-circuit lines with faults can be decoupled, and then the fault location for an incomplete-journey double-circuit line is achieved by using modal components in the mode domain. The algorithm is divided into two steps. Firstly, the fault branch is identified by comparing the relationships of voltage amplitudes at the bonding point. Then the fault location, on the basis of the identification result, is calculated by using a two-terminal method, and only the fault distance of the actual fault branch can be obtained. There is no limit on synchronization of each terminal sampling data. The results of ATP-EMTP simulation show that the proposed algorithm can be applied within the entire line and can accurately locate faults in different fault types, fault resistances, and fault distances.

  • A natural way to cope with fault tolerant control (FTC) problems is to modify the control parameters according to an online identification of the system parameters when a fault occurs. However. due to not only difficulties Inherent to the online multivariable identification in closed-loop systems, such as modeling errors, noise or the lack of excitation signals, but also long time requirement to identify the post-fault system and implemeutation of control problems during the identification process, we propose an alternative approach based on the observer-based fault detection and isolation (FDI) and model reference adaptive control (MRAC). The proposed robust fault diagnosis method is based on a bank of observers. We also propose a model reference adaptive control with changeable reference models according to the occurred faults. Simulation results of a flight control example show the validity and applicability of the proposed algorithms.

  • Demand for reliability and safety in modem systems has been increased in the research on fault detection and isolation. At traditional approaches to fault detection, redundant sensors have been used. More advanced methods are the residual analysis of signals which are created by the comparison between the actual plant behavior and the output response of a mathematical model. However, mathematical system models are difficult to obtain by using physical laws. These problems can be solved by system identification. In this paper, the transfer function of a direct current motor is estimated by using the system identification. And, the efficiency of the fault detector design is verified by using experiments.

Satellite Fault Detection and Isolation Scheme with Modified Adaptive Fading EKF

  • This paper presents a modified adaptive fading EKF (AFEKF) for sensor fault detection and isolation in the satellite. Also, the fault detection and isolation (FDI) scheme is developed in three phases. In the first phase, the AFEKF is modified to increase sensor fault detection performance. The sensor fault detection and sensor selection method are proposed. In the second phase, the IMM filer with scalar penalty is designed to detect wherever actuator faults occur. In the third phase of the FDI scheme, the sub-IMM filter is designed to identify the fault type which is either the total or partial fault. An important feature of the proposed FDI scheme can decrease the number of filters for detecting sensor fault. Also, the proposed scheme can classify fault detection and isolation as well as fault type identification.

  • 산업체 공정의 실시간 공정 모니터링과 진단은 생산 제품의 품질과 안전을 보장하는데 반드시 필요한 활동들의 하나이다. 그중에서 공정 진단은 공정에 발생된 특정 이상상황의 원인을 밝혀내는 것으로서 조업자들이 이상상황의 근본원인을 보다 효과적으로 도출하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 비선형 KFDA 기법과 데이터 전처리기법을 이용한 이상원인 진단방법을 적용하고 이의 진단 성능을 기존 선형 기법에 기반한 PCA 진단방법과 비교한다. 실제 공정을 모사한 Tennessee Eastman 공정 시뮬레이터의 공정 데이터를 통한 사례연구를 수행한 결과 기존 선형 진단 방법론 대비 신뢰할 수 있는 진단 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

온라인 식별 및 매개변수 추정을 이용한 실시간 e-Actuator 오류 검출 (Realtime e-Actuator Fault Detection using Online Parameter Identification Method)

  • E-Actuator is an essential part of an eVGT, it receives the command from the main ECU and controls the vane. An e-Actuator failure can cause an abrupt change in engine output and it may induce an accident. Therefore, it is required to detect anomalies in the e-Actuator in real time to prevent accidents. In this paper, an e-Actuator fault detection method using on-line parameter identification is proposed. To implement on-line fault detection algorithm, many constraints are considered. The test input and sampling rate are selected considering the constraints. And new recursive system identification algorithm is proposed which reduces the memory and MCU power dramatically. The relationship between the identified parameters and real elements such as gears, spring and motor are derived. The fault detection method using the relationship is proposed. The experiments with the real broken gears show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. It is expected that the real time fault detection is possible and it can improve the safety of eVGT system.
