The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship of self-efficacy, which is a kind of the self concept about one's own ability, to the decision-making process, which is the key part of consumer behavior. The subjects in this study were 985 male and female undergraduates of a university located in the city of Kyongsan, the north Kyongsang province. The collected data were statistically processed by MANOVA and ANOVA. For post test, Scaffle and $\chi$$^2$-test were employed. The followings are findings of this study : 1. Concerning incentive to buying, the group having the weaker general self-efficacy is stimulated more highly by the incentives of self-display, fashion pursuit and economic utility than the group having the stronger general self-efficacy does. 2. Regarding information sources. the factor of observation is frequently used by the group having the weaker general and social self-efficacies more than the group having the stronger general and social self-efficacies. 3. As to the evaluative criteria of clothes, the group having the stronger general and social self-efficacies put a higher value on functional and economical points than the group having the weaker general and social self-efficacies does. 4. As for the evaluative criteria of store the group having the stronger general self-efficacy lays stress on store atmosphere, store attributes and convenient shopping condition, while the group having the weaker general self-efficacy puts emphasis on brand and fashion. 5. In buying apparels, the group having the stronger general and social self-efficacies makes more planned purchase.
The main purpose of this research is to examine what are the factors that affect consumer attitude by the types of clothing window display, and find if there is any difference by gender of consumer group. Total 357 data from random sample of 347 adults(156 male and 191 female) who were between 19 to 49 years of age were analyzed. Sources for the sample were companies and apartment complexes and several colleges in Seoul and Chonan to diversify by such demographics as age and social status. Factors were measured by respondents' rating of 9 statements using a 5-point Likert-type scale. SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) Version 10.0, is used for factor analysis in order to comprehend the factors of consumer attitude and Cronbauch's ${\alpha}$ in order to measure the credibility of questions in each factor. The main findings are as follows: First, three dimensions of consumer attitude to two types of window-display of product centered display and image centered display were identified as interest, information, and impression and theses are same to both male and female consumer group. Second, for both male and female consumer group, three dimensions of consumer attitude toward two types of window-display were same, however, included sub categories in each dimension showed a little difference. In product centered display, both male and female consumer group showed high interest in the sub categories of 'fashion' and 'informations related to the product' and they were considered same factor. Otherwise, In image centered display, two sub categories of 'having some interests in the display' and 'recognize the display that projects the image or impression of clothing well' were showed high relationship each other and they were also considered same factor. Third, Cronbauch's ${\alpha}$ of three dimensions of consumer attitude demonstrated high credibility from 0.75 to 0.91. Mean score of subcategories of attitudes toward the type of display by the gender of consumer showed high scores of 'interest' and 'impression' categories in image centered display and showed high scores of 'information' category in product centered display for both gender.

This study looks at the patterns of married women's lifestyles and verifies whether there are differences in their preferences, the will to continue shopping, and the importance of healthy foods. The paper analyzes the relative influence of each lifestyle pattern on the level of satisfaction with healthy foods. The results of the analysis of this study are as follows. To find patterns in the lifestyles of married women ages 20s to 50s, the factors were analyzed and five lifestyle patterns were extracted: health managing type, fashion pursuing type, self-expressing type, family-oriented type, and eco-friendly type. If we examine the purchasing of healthy foods for each lifestyle, women with a self-expressing lifestyle gain more information from news articles, books, and salespeople than from other information sources. Women of the health managing, family-oriented, and eco-friendly types had high purchasing frequencies and amounts. A cluster analysis was carried out to categorize the different groups being investigated into lifestyle types. They were categorized into the four clusters: active multiple-oriented type; fashion, self-expressing compromising type; passive well-being oriented type; and family and health managing type. It has been verified that there are differences among the clusters in terms of the level of importance of products, contributions to health, as well as distribution and management of healthy foods. To be more specific, the level of importance of the products as well as their distribution and management manifested as being higher among the active multiple-oriented type and the family-oriented and health managing types. The level of importance of contributions to health scored high among all groups, except the passive well-being oriented type. The active multiple-oriented type and the family-oriented and health managing types showed a high level of preference and will to continue purchasing healthy foods, while the fashion and self-expressing compromising types and passive well-being oriented type showed a low level of preference and will. In order to find patterns in the level of satisfaction with healthy foods, three factors were analyzed: credibility of labels, contributions to health, and satisfaction with the store. The factors that had the greatest influence on the total level of satisfaction was the credibility of labels for the family-oriented lifestyle; a product's contribution to health for the health managing lifestyle; and the store for the fashion pursuing lifestyle.

The main objective of this study was to examine how Chinese consumers' perceptions toward Korean apparel products have changed over the years. Specifically, motives for purchasing Korean apparel products, information sources, purchase criteria and evaluation on Korean apparel products were investigated. Data were collected in 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2007 from young female Chinese in Beijing, China during the months of June and July. A total of 603 questionnaires were collected and 578 were used in the final analysis. The results of two-way analysis of variance by year and purchase experience indicated that in overall, purchase motives and importance of various information sources changed greatly over the years, while evaluation on Korean apparel products have remained relatively stable. In comparison to the longitudinal changes in Chinese perception toward Korean apparel products, Chinese consumers' perception toward Korean apparel products did not differ significantly in most of variables according to purchase experience.
To realize the traceability of sustainable textile products, this study presents a low-carbon process through energy savings in the textile material manufacturing process. Traceability is becoming an important element of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which confirms the eco-friendliness of textile products as well as supply chain information. Textile products with complex manufacturing processes require traceability of each step of the process to calculate carbon emissions and power usage. Additionally, an understanding of the characteristics of the product planning-manufacturing-distribution process and an overall understanding of carbon emissions sources are required. Energy use in the textile material manufacturing stage produces the largest amount of carbon dioxide, and the amount of carbon emitted from processes such as dyeing, weaving and knitting can be calculated. Energy saving methods include efficiency improvement and energy recycling, and carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced through waste heat recovery, sensor-based smart systems, and replacement of old facilities. In the dyeing process, which uses a considerable amount of heat energy, LNG, steam can be saved by using "heat exchangers," "condensate management traps," and "tenter exhaust fan controllers." In weaving and knitting processes, which use a considerable amount of electrical energy, about 10- 20% of energy can be saved by using old compressors and motors.
The purposes of this study were to identify the Chinese university students' clothing attitudes and purchasing behavior according to their lifestyle. Questionnaires developed by researcher were distributed and collected from 540 Chinese university students from Mar. 5 to Mar. 20, 2001. Means, frequencies, and percentages were calculated. Factor analysis, cluster analysis. one-way ANOVA, and Chi-square test were used for data analysis. And Duncan's multiple range test was followed. The factors of lifestyle were consumption, self-confidence, economy, accomplishment. sociability. fashionability, individuality, and conservation. Chinese university students were segmented into 4 groups of the modern sociable, the passive stagnated, the positive progresive, and the traditional conservative. The group size of the modem sociable was the smallest, and the traditional conservative was the largest. Chinese university students considered sexual attractiveness of clothing most important. Psychological dependence and ostentation of clothing were next important in a decending order. The passive stagnated considered conformity of clothing most important and showed the opposite tendency of the modern socialable. The positive progressive considered all aspects of clothing attitudes important, and showed the opposite tendency of the traditional conservative. Chinese university students utilized direct fashion information sources, and patronized medium or small size department store or traditional market.
The Yellow River Basin located in the Northern part of China is well-known not only as the seriously limited water sources but the greatest sediment-carrying stream in the world. The observed annual average sediment concentration in this area is $37.6kg/\textrm{mm}^3$, and 3.1% of the water volume is occupied by sediments. Due to the reason, water development has been extremely limited and it has been appeared as one of the most difficult problems in reservoir development and management. The major obstacle to surface water uses is reservoir sedimentation so that it has been strongly requested to seek the method managing sediment by optimal fashion. To solve this problem, KOWACO (Korea Water Resources Corporation) has developed various methods on the optimal reservoir management schemes including sediment management for the Upper Fenhe Basin Reservoir System at the cooperation project with Chinese. Information Variable Dynamic Programming. which is one of them, was developed for the reservoir sediment management and a set of non-dominated solutions are generated to choose the best alternative in water supply and reservoir sediment objective problem.
The initial phase of the Mongol invasion resulted in the establishment of relative political stability in the vast expanses of Eurasia, which came under the control of a single political entity - the Mongol realm. This contributed to a fairly rapid restoration of the commercial links and trade routes between the East and the West. During this period, Chinese silk again became available in large quantities in the Western markets. At the same time, the beginning of silk production and manufacturing of silk fabrics in Italy and the fashion flash for these goods in Western countries affected trade between Europe and the Muslim world. The centers of silk production in the Ilkhanid Empire were some provinces of Azerbaijan and Persia, where from it was exported in large numbers along the trade routes of Anatolia and Syria to the Mediterranean ports and further to the west. There are numerous testimonies of European travelers, and Muslim authors related the international silk trade in 13th-15th centuries, ie in the era from the Mongol Ilkhanid Empire till the reign of the Turkman Aqqoyunlu dynasty. One of the most informative documentary sources on this issue are the legislative codes (kanuname) of sultan Uzun Hasan from the Aqqoyunlu dynasty regarding the eastern provinces of the Asia Minor. This article presents and analyzes the information from these documents concerning the whole range of goods related to silk and silk fabrics trade in the period under the consideration.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the demographics and general clothing buying behavior according to clothing shopping orientation of female workers. A questionnaire was developed to measure clothing shopping orientation, fashion information sources, stores selection criteria, clothing purchasing frequency of a year, purchasing expenditure of clothing, the demographics. The questionnaire was administered to 775 female teacher in Chonnam. The data was analyzed using percentage, frequency, mean, factor analysis, Cluster Analysis, x 1_test and ANOVA, Duncan test.
