ATM망에서 토폴로지 DB기반 소스라우팅을 이용한 장애복구 방안 (A Restoration Schemes using Source Routing based on Topology DB on ATM Network)

  • ATM 망에서 노드나 링크에서의 장애발생 시 이를 복구하기 위한 방안에 관하여 연구하였다. 네트워크상의 각 노드들은 RCC(Routing Control Channel)을 이용하여 노드들간의 네트워크 상태 정보를 가진 NSE(Network State Element)를 교환함으로써 각각의 노드들은 네트워크내 자원에 대한 동일한 토폴로지 정보를 가지게 된다. 그러므로, 동적으로 변하는 네트워크 상태를 반영한 새로운 대체 경로를 소스노드에서 설정하는 기법을 제안한다. 이러한 방법을 적용한 결과 호 수락 제어(Connection Admission Control)단계에서의 호 설정(cell setup) 실패율을 크게 줄여 복구의 향상 및 메시지 수의 축소 그리고 트래픽을 감소시키면서 빠른 복구가 가능하였다.

  • 이동 호스트는 무선 통신망의 낮은 대역폭과 호스트들의 이동성, 부족한 저장장치와 배터리 수명 등으로 인하여 결함 발생 가능성이 높다. 이동 호스트의 결함에 효율적으로 대처하기 위한 결함 허용 기법에 관한 연구가 많이 진행되어 왔다. 셀룰라 네트워크에서는 이동 호스트이외에도 이동 호스트를 연결시키는 기지국은 보다 높은 수준의 가용도를 요구하므로 기지국의 결함에 대한 연구도 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 이동 호스트 결함 복구를 위한 체크포인팅 기법을 기반으로 기지국 결함 복구를 위한 체크포인팅 이중화 기법을 제안하고 성능을 분석하였다. 또한 이동 호스트의 결함 복구를 위해 체크포인트가 존재하는 기지국의 복구를 기다리는 방법과 다른 기지국의 체크포인트를 이용하는 방법의 성능을 비교 분석하였다.

  • In the total knee arthroplasty (TKA), kinematic benefic of a mobile-bearing total knee prosthesis is still arguing. Main reasons for implant failure are loosening and polyethylene wear and should be solved with new designs with mob ile bearings. The kinematics of the knee prosthesis also affects the implant failure. Recently, a second generation of p rostheses with a mobile-bearing was developed. The current study aimed to assess the kinematic path of the 2nd generation mobile knee prosthesis compared to the normal knees. Using 3D/2D registration method, CT-derived 3D knee models were fitted to sequential 2D X-ray images during knee flexion. 3D kinematics of the femur and the tibia were analyzed. The 2nd generation mobile-bearing TKA prosthesis (e.motion, Aesculap, Germany) knees showed less external rotation and knee flexion range compared to the normal knee, but the trend of external rotation was similar each other.

금융서비스 실패가 소비자의 부정적 감정과 행동반응에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Failed Financial Services on Negative Emotion and Behavioral Responses)

  • While previous studies on service failures mainly focused on general services, this study examines the effects of failed financial services on the psychological process and behavioral responses of consumers. The important factors of financial service (relational benefits, convenience, branch satisfaction, product diversity, company stability, and product profitability) are regarded as antecedents in our model. We study how each factor of failed financial service affects the negative emotions of consumers through the attribution process and how these arising emotions influence their behavioral responses. Through path analysis, this study shows that failure of service factors of relational benefits, branch satisfaction, and convenience induces disappointment, with the mediation effect of external attribution. Meanwhile, failure of service factors of product diversity and product profitability induces regret, with the mediation effect of internal attribution. Disappointment leads to complaint behavior, and regret leads to switching behavior. Unlike previous studies, the present one considers the important factors of financial service and their effects on the affective and behavioral responses of consumers.

변위제어하에서 콘크리트의 점소성 연화거동해석 (Analysis of Viscoplastic Softening Behavior of Concrete under Displacement Control)

  • The softening behaviors of concrete have been the object of numerous experimental and numerical studies, because the load carrying capacity of cracked concrete structure is not zero. Numerical studies are devoted to the investigation of three-dimensional softening behaviors of concrete on the basis of a viscoplastic theory, which may be able to represent the effects of plasticity and also of rheology. In order to properly describe material behaviors corresponding to different stress levels, two surfaces in stress space are adopted; one is a yield surface, and the other is a failure or bounding surface. When a stress path reaches the failure surface, it is considered that the softening behaviors are initiated as micro-cracks coalesce and are simulated by assuming that the actual strain increments in the post-peak region are less than the equivalent viscoplastic strain increment. The experimental studies and the finite element analyses have been carried out under the displacement control. Numerically simulated results indicate that the model is able to predict the essential characteristics of concrete behaviors such as the non-linearity, stiffness degradation, different behaviors in tension and compression, and specially dilatation under uniaxial compression.

Fat-Tree에서 링크 장애가 패킷분산방식의 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Link Failures on Performance of Packet Scatter Schemes in Fat-Trees)

  • 데이터센터 네트워크와 관련된 대부분의 최근 연구들은 Fat-Tree와 같은 대칭성 있는 다중루트트리 토포로지를 가정한다. 이러한 네트워크에서는 패킷단위의 분산방식이 매우 효과적이지만 장애가 발생할 경우에는 토포로지의 대칭성이 깨져 TCP의 성능이 저하된다고 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 모의실험을 통하여 Fat-Tree에서 링크 장애가 패킷분산방식의 성능에 주는 영향을 다시 조사한다. 모의실험결과는 큰 규모의 Fat-Tree에서는 링크 장애가 발생해도TCP 성능이 저하될 만큼 패킷 순서 바뀜이 심하게 발생하지 않음을 보여주며 링크 장애에 대비한 복잡한 방식이 반드시 필요한 것은 아님을 암시한다.

이동 궤적을 고려한 링크 상태 예측을 통한 공중 백본 네트워크 라우팅 성능 향상 방법 (Routing Performance Improvement Based on Link State Prediction of Trajectory in Airborne Backbone Network)

  • The airborne backbone network(ABN) provides communication transport services between airborne nodes, surface nodes and satellite nodes. Such ABN is generally constructed with wide-body and high-capacity planes such as AWACS, which can fly long-term along pre-defined flight paths. In this paper, we propose an efficient method to improve routing performances by reconfiguring routing path before link failure based on the prediction of link state with the information of pre-defined backbone nodes' trajectories. Since the proposed method does not need additional information exchange between airborne nodes in order to acknowledge the link failure, it can be effectively used for airborne backbone network with limited bandwidths.

지하수의 영향을 고려한 지하공동구조체의 동적응답 (Dynamic Response of Underground Openings Considering the Effect of Water Saturation)

  • 본 논문에서는 지하수의 영향을 고려하여 발파로 인한 폭발하중에 대한 지하공동구조체의 3차원 동적해석을 수행하였다. 지하공동 주변 암반체는 13.5%의 공극율을 갖는 석회암으로 가정하였으며, 동일한 폭발하중에 대해 주변 암반체의 공극이 완전히 건조한 경우와 이 공극이 완전 포화된 경우로 나누어 해석을 수행하였다. 수치해석결과 지하공동구조체가 포화된 암반체에 위치하는 경우가 건조한 암반체에 위치하는 경우에 비해 속도, 변위, 응력이 모두 크게 발생하였다. 그리고 포화된 암반체의 지하공동구조체 부근에서는 전단파괴의 가능성이 발생함을 확인할 수 있었다.

Oversubscription factors for Community Wireless Services using AODV Routing

  • Community Wireless Networks define the next generation wireless services. Multimedia usages for financial services over community Wireless LAN (WLAN) based mesh networks require link stability. Several new services are being proposed for multimedia over WLANs. Portable Internet Services are implemented by several wireless carriers to proliferate their customer base. However, these services are still expensive and require a central telecom/wireless carrier whose monopoly and preference defines the availability of new services. Our research project identifies the usage of these critical services in public places over the financial services backbone architecture to provide efficient easy-to-use and economical services to their customers and merchants without being dependent on the central wireless carrier. The user connects to the network using his regular WLAN NIC using the Mesh Router/Bridge interconnectivity and obtains the needed multimedia and financial services from the ATM-AP Gateway, In our proposed scenario, the ATN AP-MR use AODV protocol and MR-MC is based on 802.11g/a/b IEEE standard. We use multi path routing protocols for reducing the congestion over a particular route. We demonstrate the results of our simulations and test-bed outcome to evaluate link failure rate and oversubscription factors to eliminate network congestion and non-availability of the critical financial services.

  • Safety culture is a collection of the beliefs, perceptions and values that employees share in relation to risks within an organisation. On the other hand, a resilient safety culture (RSC) means a culture with readiness of the organisation to respond effectively under stress, bounce back from shocks and continuously learn from them. RSC helps organisations to protect their interest which can be attributed to behavioural, psychological and managerial capabilities of the organization. Quantification of the degree of resilience in an organisation's safety culture can provide insights about the strong and weak links of the organisation's overall health and safety situation by identifying potential causes of system or sub-system failure. One of the major challenges of quantification of RSC is that the attributes that determine RSC need to be measured through constructs and indicators which are complex and often interrelated. In this paper, we address this challenge by applying a fault tree analysis (FTA) technique which can help analyse complex and interrelated constructs and indicators. The fault tree model of RSC is used to evaluate resilience levels of two organisations with remote and urban locations in order to demonstrate the failure path of the weak links in the RSC model.
